I looked at her, with her hand outstretched, and watched as the last of her power fizzled out and retreated inside of her. Her fist closed, and she straightened as she squarely met my gaze.

"... I'm Starry Knight," she said, her words soft and light, even as they soundly struck me to the core.

With the arrival of 11th grade, Hamilton Dinger has no shortage of activities to pursue. With his job at the mayor’s office, schoolwork, and fighting off evil, he has no time to worry about Starry Knight’s recent betrayal and his relentless fixation with her.

Even though he does anyway.

Pushing past his emotional turmoil, he works with Aleia and Elysian to uncover the truth about the Seven Deadly Sinisters and his supernatural origins. When disaster strikes once more, Hamilton and his friends realize the only way to prevent chaos from taking over Apollo City, and eventually the world, is to find the answers to the questions hidden deep inside his heart and mind.

This is one of my favorite covers and books of the series, that's Aleia on the cover and she is one of my fave characters :) There are SOOOO many great parts to this book, I'm going to try to list them all.

One thing I noticed was there was no Adonaias in this book and Hamilton acknowledges that.
"I remembered Adonaias, and realized I'd barely been listening to him, watching for him, or really anything once I got back from Alora's star...I made a vow to be better about it in the future."

Hamilton has some incredible growth in this one, both in maturity and in a heroic moment his WINGS develop!! That was so fun to read his excitement in that freedom as he continues to battle Sinisters!

There is FINALLY a break up with Gwen and her reaction was truly pathetic and unreasonable. Hamilton is a good guy for dealing with her drama and even holding back his sarcasm in an effort to respect her nonsense feelings. I don't know HOW he deals with such drama (with Mikey also) and his mom, whom he refers to by her first name in the narration. Annoying at first but in this book it's much easier to see why and it's almost humorous. He calls her Mom in one scene and it comes off very unnatural, I forget her response to it.

MANY revelations are discovered in this book and there is some kissing with Starry Knight, those scenes were nicely written, even when Cheryl walks in and catches them at one point...oops! So how does Hamilton's mom know this girl and why does she respond that way? Hopefully book 5 has those answers :) AND more of the pirate guy!

One note to Hamilton, when your cell phone breaks, replace it immediately! Too many people are trying to bother, I mean, COMMUNICATE with you and you need to have that thing handy.

I can't tell if Mikey will continue being Hamilton's friend or not, and I REALLY want to know what he puts on that blog already!

I also enjoyed the author's note at the end referring to this title...Remembering is critical in a world where we seem to have developed such a short-term memory...How often I have prayed for God to remember me, when I should have been praying that I remembered Him more often.

Once again Hamilton is trying to balance he's life between school, dating, friends, work and being a superhero. It's hard to juggle all that when you are a teenager and being pulled all directions at once.

Your best friend knows your secret how cool is that? Until when you guys get into a big fight. You've ignored your best friend and girlfriend while to balance everything out. Not only that when your best friend tells you about a girl he likes you stop listening and decide for yourself "Hey might not be a bad idea to date her"

Your best friend has been so forgiving before then you break his heart as well as someone else's. He doesn't even know that he can forgive you this time around. Hamilton finally realizes what he's done and tries to apologize but his best friend is not hearing it. This time Hamilton may have gone way too far.

This worries Hamilton a lot since his best friend knows his secret what if he doesn't keep his promise anymore? What if in his blog that he's been writing about these superhero's he decides to tell everyone everything?

Hamilton is trying to save everyone even if his best friend can't see past his anger at the moment. Hamilton has made new friends or should I say old friends from a life he doesn't remember. Slowly getting his memories from a life before hasn't been helping things either.

Things get complicated again especially trying to save your friends. Will they all be okay? Your best friend and girlfriend are in danger do you let the bad guys know your secret to save them?

Only one way to find out you need to read this book after you read the first 3.

Once again the writer pulls me into her world of storytelling, which is why I love this series.

I mean come Superhero's that is being told through a book rather than a graphic novel is nice. I feel I get more of a story going through reading it and no having pictures that can pull away from the story.

Unlike some other series where the story doesn't pick up again until much later this picks up right where it's been left off. I can't wait until the next installment of The Starlight Chronicles.

Hamilton is being kept really busy, he is working for the mayor at a post his mother had acquired for him, his exams were looming on the horizon, his superhero work kept him very busy, turning up when least needed and he still needed to watch his brother Adam but all he could think about was Starry Knight and the fact that she had called him by his real name, Almeisan. She had also told him that she loved him but he hated her for being the reason for his fall. The only time he stopped thinking of her was when he was thinking of Raiya who seemed to be becoming more important to him. I wish he'd just man up and do the right thing by poor Gwen and break up with her because all he ever did was use her for babysitting and standing her up at the most inopportune times. Ughh teenage dating drama at its worst! However these thing were not what were worrying Ham so much as the replacement for Orpheus, which seemed to be of concern to the remaining sinisters, so who was he? He was worried about SWORD and their interest in the meteorite yet through all his worries he found time to save Starry Knight's life, and ask forgiveness and to fall irrevocably in love. This time for certain! But would she accept him? Seems like finally Ham is getting his act together regarding his love life. He has committed to his role as Wingdinger can he commit to his love now, a love which he knew went beyond this time and space?

I can't explain what it is about this series that has sucked me in so much. On the surface, it doesn't seem like something I would normally like this much. There is more high school drama than I care for, and the spiritual aspect turns me off. Still, I keep coming back for more. The main character is unlikeable, but that only makes me like the book more. This audiobook is like junk food or gossip or anything else you think you shouldn't like but you do anyway. The writing grabs me every time. The narrator does an even better job with this book than the last 3. Either he is taking notes or he is getting just as sucked in as I am.

I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this honest review.

What do you remember?

This is the question that lies at the heart if this book. You have to read the other books to understand the importance of the story . Memories are all we have sometimes to keep us going. That's one of the important themes running through out the book.

Love this series. In fact, I love every book that I've read that was written by this author. If you like fantasy books, you will love them, too. Give her books a try. You won't be sorry.

Note: I received a free copy from the author in return for an honest review. Thank you C.S. Johnson! I have also previously reviewed books one and three.

This is the book I’ve been waiting for. We find out the identity of Starry Knight (although I already figured it out before), there is a much awaited for break-up and more teenage drama. Okay I admit, mostly just for the identity reveal.

In the last three books, there wasn’t much of the usual high school drama with girlfriends and boyfriends. While that set this series apart, we still looked for it as this is a YA series. I will refrain from saying too much as then this whole review will be of spoilers.

Chapter 11, though! I’m going to go ahead and say it- Windinger and Starry Knight finally kissed for reals! I ended up squealing till the end of the chapter, like, YASSS!

The beginning of chapter 12 was a damper though. The change in Hamilton was instant and I couldn’t go with it. If the writing was in third person POV it might have worked but I couldn’t imagine Hamilton thinking philosophically about love. The break in character was off-putting.

Over the past few books he was gradually changing, yes; we expect him to become pretty noble, yes. But I did not think he would turn out to be sappy and love sick all of a sudden. I mean, there’s only so much one can change over such a short period of time. All chapters frrom then on, Hamilton hardly behaved like his previous self. Well, then.

Due to the amount of clues littered around, I figured out most things and basically spent reading this book waiting for Hamilton to grow a brain. Even in this book new mysteries popped up and Hamilton’s observations put together would solve them but no such thing. I started thinking along the lines of, “If he is so smart, why has he not pieced together anything yet?”

Compared to the previous books, this was just okay, in my opinion. The romance aspects finally got some spotlight but hardly anything else did. Everything else felt like a background that we pass only to get to the next romantic revelation or scene.

I’m also waiting for an element of surprise, something that I did not see coming and blows up out of nowhere. So much has been predictable until now.

I would like to read the next installment to find out where all this heads to. I want to know the ending. But I’m not left as enthusiastic for the sequel like after previous books. Let’s see where this heads.

Another awesome book in the Starlight series!!! So glad to finally have Starry Knight's true identity revealed, and the plot twist of Orpheus supposed to be in love with Aleia was surprising. I'm looking forward to seeing if he's telling the truth or not. Still have some unanswered questions, but overall it was exciting and really well written.

A very satisfying addition to the adventures of Windinger and Starry Night. I am enjoying the entire series and cannot wait to finish this one so I can read the rest. Hamilton is very dear to my heart. A great character!!
