Really reassuring and useful for planning and organizing tips as I prepped for top surgery. Since I went to a specialist who wasn't connected to a hospital for my surgery, some of the info about what to expect on the day of surgery was not true for my procedure, so I got some conflicting info from friends who'd seen the same surgeon and the (I'll be honest, minimally competent) nursing staff at the facility I went to vs the book. No big deal, just something to potentially be aware of and expect if you're also going that route--just make sure you're asking questions of your surgeon re: what to expect even if you think you already know the answer!

Anyway, researching and planning for top surgery can be super daunting and this book grounded that process for me. It's accessible, quick, and honestly was invaluable in the year and a half or so leading up to my surgery. I'd loaned my hard copy to my wife and about 2 weeks before surgery we couldn't find it, but it was so useful to me that I got the kindle edition as a second copy to read again as I made my final preparations and that was worth it for me both practically and in terms of easing my anxiety and restless excitement as the day approached.

If top surgery is on your mind as something you may want to do yourself and you aren't sure, if you're 100% you want it and aren't sure how to get started OR if you want a better understanding of the process to support a friend or loved one I absolutely recommend this book.
