Basic Premise: A description of the pets of the Lego Friends characters.

That's pretty much all there is to it. There is no story, only a basic description of what pets each character has.

I'm getting very tired of these books. My son is not. I soldier on.

I was expecting a story so this felt a bit long winded. It's like 14 introductions to the girls' pets so it feels like an encyclopedia rather than a story. It's also hard to keep track of everything because like three of the girls have horses but the horses aren't all described or introduced together. And I think two of the girls have bunnies but they're not introduced together. So I can't remember which girl is which and which dog is which and which bunny is which. The thing that really made this book enjoyable as we tried to look at the pictures and see which of the Legos we have at home (in our basic kits). Unfortunately so many of these Lego builds are custom pieces so really this book ended up feeling more of a commercial.

Less a storybook than an advertisement for Lego Friends. Can't believe we payed money for this. Even my seven-year-old daughter, who picked it out, told me she didn't want it anymore after two days—and she's normally a huge fan of Lego Friends.

An easy reader designed mostly to introduce (and sell) characters from Lego's controversial "Lego Friends" series.

Humane-minded parents might want to know that one girl uses her pet rabbit on-stage in a magic show. This could lead to a good discussion on how some things that may be fun for us are not always fun for our pet.
