Rate this book
Darcy Kincaid might be a runaway bride, but she still believes in happily ever after, which is why she’s devoted to helping couples orchestrate their perfect I do. Even though her fiancée turned out to be unfaithful and a big disappointment, Darcy walked away from her wedding fully committed—to her unborn daughter. Now, a single mom, it’s up to Darcy to secure her daughter’s future, which is why she’s invested her life savings into renovating Belle Mont Manor, Portland’s oldest, and nearly forgotten, wedding venue. So when Wedding Magazine offers her the cover for their June issue, in exchange for planning the wedding of a high-profile couple, Darcy thanks her lucky stars. Until the star’s best man turns out to be her ex’s brother…

The last time Gage Easton saw Darcy, she was sneaking out the back door of her own wedding—destroying his brother’s life. No way is he going to entrust the gorgeous jilter with his biggest client’s special day, no matter how much in love with her he secretly was. Determined to take his client’s wedding elsewhere, he confronts Darcy, only to meet a toddler with Darcy’s blonde curls and the Easton blue eyes that has him renegotiating—the wedding for a chance to know his niece. But when a fun day in the park leads to warm family dinners, Gage finds himself stuck between his loyalty to his brother—and the two women who have stolen his heart.

My first and foremost question, was this book unfinished? Is there another book I need to read to get the rest of the story?

It was a great plot and premise but the ending just like stopped the plot right in the middle of the story. I was actually disappointed with this book because everything seemed to be going in the direction I hoped and wanted, desperately needing more uncles cuteness and I got literally none of that, instead the book ended short with what felt like absolutely no planning when it got time to wrap it up. MIL was absolutely psycho and the fact that no one stood up for Darcy was absolutely horrible, the fact MIL again is ruining Darcy's life for the second time, thinking I'm about to get some good drama, and then the book basically ends with such a pitiful "everything's fine, I fixed it, and we're happy" scene.

For the hype it received on TikTok, I was disappointed in what I ended up reading.

Chasing I Do was an okay read for me.

In the beginning, it was good but as it progressed it seemed lacking. Many aspects went missing at the end like the confrontation between Gage and his mother, whether Rhett and Stephanie got married or not, we also didn't get to see if Kylie met her other uncles and the most important, I needed an epilogue to see how Gage and Darcy were doing after some years.

AWESOME STORY! I so hated to see it end. A very well written story that will make you laugh and cry. Great cast of characters! You will be amused by Fancy, the boy dog who is treated as if he is a girl. You will despise the mother Marge Easton and someone needs to put her in her place.
Darcy is a wedding planner and owns Belle Mont House where Gage's brother and his fiance want to have their wedding. Gage agreeing to help his brother out is surprised to find out that Darcy is the owner. Darcy was his brother Kyle's ex-fiance and his family blames her for his death especially the mother. Gage and Darcy have always had feelings for each other. Will they be given a second chance at happiness? Can Darcy protect her daughter Kylie from this hateful family? Read the book to find out how it all ends. I loved every minute of it and I am looking forward to the next book in the series!

5 sweet stars to single moms who do a great job and sacrifice their time rising good children.

I'm literally in love with Marina Adair's books.

So if you're into slow burning love stories with things that would fill your heart with joy, lust, heat, warm and happiness then that's your book to pick. It's the story of a run away bride and her best friend and supposed to be brother in law.

Darcy jilted her soon to be husband Kyle Easton at the altar when she discovered he was cheating on her with his boss's daughter.

When Kyle died in a car accident, his mother Margo put the blame on Darcy, humiliated her, got her arrested and made her understand that she was no longer welcome anomg the Eastons.

As a single mom, it was up to Darcy to secure Kylie’s future, which was why she’s invested her life savings into renovating Belle Mont Manor, Portland’s oldest, and nearly forgotten, wedding venue to make her dream of "I DOS" come true and to secure her daughter’s future.

when Wedding Magazine offered her the cover for their June issue, in exchange for planning the wedding of a high-profile couple, Darcy was so excited. Until she learned that the groom was Kyle's older brother Rhett and the planner was no one but Gage, Kyle's twin and her best friend in college.

Gage had a crush on Darcy in college, but since his brother admitted he liked her, he backed off and accepted her freindship.

But again, love doesn't come with an expiration date especially when it's mutual.

description

Gage had to fight his feelings in honor of his late brother and his loyalty to his family but secrets about her sudden disappearance were revealed, there was no way he was loosing her again.

"I'm willing to trust what I love most to you, Gage. And that's my heart and my daughter."

Awesome!! If this is how the series begins, all I can say is please write faster because I can't wait for more!! This story has all sorts of feels and the love between Gage and Darcy is palpable. Then there is "Tiny" Kylie, Darcy's delicious daughter, the person that makes Darcy's life complete. In a strange twist of events Gage and Darcy are reunited when he goes to her wedding planning business as a favor to his brother. When he sees Darcy and then again when he meets Kylie, Gage knows his life is about to change!

Don't miss the beginning to what promises to be an amazing new series. I highly recommend it.

I liked the idea behind the story, but disappointed with the execution. I feel like there were so many important moments that the author skipped over. For instance how Gage and his brothers went from hating Darcy in one chapter, to instantly forgiving her and loving her in the next chapter.... I don't know if the book was supposed to be as short as it was, but it seems like it could've been so much more. Especially at the end, why didn't we get to read about Gage confronting his mom for serving Darcy for custody of Kylie or what happened with the wedding: did Darcy and kylie show up to the wedding? Did kylie meet the rest of her uncles? Or did Darcy and Kylie still go to Disneyland as was planned because of all the crap Mrs. Easton pulled? There are just so many unanswered questions and I know this is part of a series but the next book jumps to different characters and goes straight to Darcy and Gage's wedding, so I feel as if those questions all remained unanswered.

Off to a good start..First in a new Series. The Eastons Book 1:
Darcy Kincaid was planning a very important wedding when a little dog starts to cause havoc. A tall handsome stranger comes to her rescue. The last person she expected to see at her home, and place of business-Belle Mount House, was Gage Easton. He was in charge of said dog. She hadn't seen him for a very long time. After finding out what he was doing there she couldn't be more shocked. It wasn't happening. Didn't she suffer enough?

Gage Easton couldn't believe that Darcy Kincaid ran things at Belle Mount House. His family wouldn't be happy about this one bit. But Gage would learn the truth about why things went the way they did with her and his brother. He gets the shock of his life one day when he goes to see Darcy.

Darcy makes to very clear to Gage what happened and he can not believe what his family did to her. Well he believes her.

Truly a moving story. Sometimes love doesn't work the first time, but comes around and fits just right when you least expect it.
Would it work for Darcy and Gage? You'll have to buy the book to find out. A lot is at stake.

Marina Adair yet again has outdone herself! Such a heart warming, make you sigh a happy sigh read that you don't want to miss.

I must start sounding like a broken record when it comes to Marina Adair's books because I love them so much. For those who might be a little leery because this is a self-published book don't worry because it was just as good if not better than her previous Montlake books.

I love Darcy's character. So many women would be bitter in her situation but she moved on, worked hard and made a wonderful life with her daughter while still painting a positive picture of her ex-fiance. I can only imagine how hard that must be after what he did and then what his mother did to Darcy. Gage was just as endearing and watching him build a relationship with Darcy's daughter, Kylie, was just adorable.

My only minor issue was I would have liked to see more of the confrontation between Gage and his mother to make the grand gesture more grand. His mother is a real piece of work and it would have been so satisfying to see her taken down a peg or two. I cannot wait for the next book. I want all the siblings and Darcy's best friend's story. Such an amazing start to the series!

ARC Given for honest review

Wow!!!!!

Chasing I Do is book 1 of the Eastons series.

Darcy Kincaid is a wedding planner who owns a beautiful house couples use to hold their weddings. She loves her job that is until her past becomes her present.

Gage Easton attends Belle Mont House to organise wedding plans for his brother Rhett and his fiancé Stephanie Stone. He is surprised to find Belle Mont is owned by Darcy, his younger brother Kyle's ex fiancé. When Darcy broke off the wedding, the family blamed her for Kyle's death, making her life miserable.

This story was sad, breathtaking, heartbreaking and heartwarming. I loved the dynamics of Darcy and Gage. I also loved how the Easton siblings were written.

I absolutely detested Marge Easton however. She needs a swift kick up the bum. Apart from that Marina Adair, like every other book, wrote an engaging and thoroughly entertaining book. I highly recommend this book and can't wait for book 2.

This was only okay.

I've gotta say, I hate poor editing and it's so obvious when a character does something and then repeats the action two pages later - this kind of stuff should be picked up and it annoyed me that it happened a couple of times in this book.

Now to the actual story. It started well and held the promise of a sweet romance. But somehow it fell flat. There were several reasons for this in my opinion. Firstly, the chemistry between Darcy and Gage was told rather than felt - I got no warm fuzzies, which is disappointing in a romance. Secondly, Gage started out as a great hero but by the end he seemed quite weak. Finally, the ending felt seriously rushed and thus was really unsatisfying. The HEA needs a bit of time spent on it and hasty ILUs just don't cut the mustard. I would also have liked to see the confrontation between Gage and Margo as she really needed to be put in her place.

This is my first book by Marina Adair - I needed a bit of light hearted read and went searching on unlimited and come across this baby.

It was just what I needed!

If you love a second chance romance plus the heroine walked out on her wedding day to his twin! Well tell you anymore or will give to much away.

Une histoire émouvante mais à laquelle il manque certains points importants.
par exemple, la confrontation de Gage / Margo et aussi une vraie fin. On est un peu laissé là comme cela....C'est frustrant.

This is the first book I've read by this author but it won't be the last. I listened to the audio and loved the narrator. I can't wait to read the next one. Happy reading!

This book was so awful that I am shocked I finished it. Cheap Kindle deals are often disappointments. Totally skeevy relationship between the protagonist and her dead baby daddy's twin brother. Throw in a totally awful MIL and weirdly abrupt ending. Definitely do not recommend.

This is not my usual choice for contemporary but I won this book in a giveaway and thought I would give it a chance. Surprisingly I liked this book. It was a slow building romance that was perfect for the situation and characters.

This book is part of a series but was perfectly written as a stand-alone so I don't feel I need to read the others to get more details about the family.

Great book

Darcy is a strong determined character who will never give in. She is lucky to find Gage who has always wanted her only to have to face Margo. Great story line but I wish she had told them How Kyle treated her,

I gave this five stars, but it needed to be longer. I know it is only book One in the series, but not only is their a wronged young mother, and child,, but a wedding to put on for the family who wronged her. I love that Gage is open to rekindling long ago feelings, but just when I thought there would be some closure to all the messes, it ended. Now we all wait for book two. The story was very inviting, and the brothers were great, their mom was a controlling witch, but at least one son stood up to her. I loved Darcy, and her can do spirit for her, and her sweet daughter. I hope book two brings some true closure for Darcy, and Tiny, and Gage, as well as Margo...It was great for its length, and kept me turning pages, but books should be longer than 174 pages, if they are books in a series. I normally would have took it to four stars for the cliffhanger ending, and short book.

i really enjoyed the three main characters in this but due to the lack of confrontation between the mmc and the mom and the lack of confrontation between the fmc and the mom, it’s only a three star review. i hated the mom and i was really waiting for one of them to go off on her like she deserved. also where was the epilogue???

This was a very easy read because I just couldn't put it down. Was hoping to see more of Kylie getting to know the rest of the family but maybe in other books hat will happen? Now I just have to find the next book!
