This book offers a practical “first things first” outline and insightful thoughts on focusing and refocusing on the immediate job as a means of furthering the larger project. This book won’t replace 7Habits for Highly Effective People but it doesn’t purport to. The author takes a more focused approach. He offers many examples of thinking outside the box to accomplish needed tasks with an emphasis on defining, refining, and finishing the overall job. I enjoyed it and will look back on my notes, (yes, as with 7 Habits, I took notes from this book), I will review my notes periodically as I work through my projects.

This book was written 28 years ago but still stands today as a great resource for wining in life and business. The fight and strategies are still the same. Richard spent a good deal in the book talking about character and used few examples of people that has it and the impact they had on the world. He also said that character is something that a person can’t lose. Great book

This book is a bit dated with examples from the late 90s. However, there is good information on leadership and personal development.

No-nonsense business advice based on the experience of a Navy Seal leader. Captivating reading for any but the easily offended, who should read it anyway.

good strategy principles. Marcinko is not a great reader (audiobook version). I would recommend it.
