This Bible is so neat! My teenage daughter has completely claimed this Wonders of Creation Holy Bible and has begun coloring in the fun illustrations that match up with the Wonders of Creation Coloring Book that we have both enjoyed using.

Some of the great things about this Bible are the size, the font, the paper and the illustrations. It is about the size of a normal Bible. It is not unusually thick or heavy. The pages that hold the biblical text are the thin paper that is usually used in Bibles. The illustrations are printed on thick paper, which my daughter has colored on in colored pencils as well as markers with no bleeding through.

On each illustration page, there is a coordinating Bible verse written in a fun font that is pretty and matches up with the playful and creative pictures available to color. My daughter also likes the fact that it seems to have lay flat pages. The ribbon is a beautiful hot pink and the hardcover is very sturdy and smooth.

This is not a journaling Bible. There are not journaling lines provided. It is specifically a Bible with extra pages inserted for an enjoyable coloring experience, while also reading God’s word. I am very impressed!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

THE NIV WONDERS OF CREATION HOLY BIBLE is a coloring Bible suitable for all ages. It is beautifully done and as a child I would've LOVED this Bible. Even as an adult it's appealing. The pictures invite a child in, beg for colored pencils, and maybe, just maybe, the child might be motivated to read the scriptures. Definitely they would read the verse on each coloring page, and maybe they would look it up and read the rest of the story.

I liked the ribbon marker to mark places. Handy when the preacher has you going different places but tells you to keep your finger ______________ as you will go back. :)

My tween daughter fell in love with this Bible as soon as she saw it, and wants it to be her pew Bible to use when she listens to the preacher during services. It would be a good Bible for that.

This is a great Bible for your artistically minded tweens or even for yourself if you like coloring.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE
The Wonders Creation Holy Bible is an awesome Bible for kids and adults alike. It has pictures throughout the Bible to color, and any child or teen would love to have a Bible such as this! I would have loved this as a kid, and as an adult, I think its pretty cool! This would be a wonderful way to encourage your child to read the Bible. As they color the pictures, they will want to read about what they are coloring! It is beautiful inside and out, and anyone would love caring around this wonderful Bible. I highly recommend it for you and your family.

These days, I'm constantly catching my Grasshopper(8) coloring. (At the table, in the floor, in his bed well past bedtime) He loves to color! He went through a stage where he didn't care to at all, so I was pretty surprised when I started catching him with coloring books and crayons stashed around the house. I thought this Bible might be a little treat for him.

It turns out that this thing is super girly. I'm not even the pickiest with my boys playing with "girl" things. They've all had dolls in their younger years. I share my "girly" LEGO sets and they enjoy playing with them as much as any other. They wear "manly" pink! ;) This Bible is an invitation to bullying, though(or at least "picking on", or laughing behind his back), so I can't recommend this for boys. It was hard to tell online when I first saw it, though it does look perfectly obvious now that I look again, but there's lots of pink on the front and back, and even a pink bookmark. For girls, it's nice. (Thankfully, I have a sweet niece that this is perfect for.) I would have loved for the outside(and the bookmark) to have been a little more gender neutral, though!

This is a full NIV Bible. It has 13 sections throughout with coloring pages. These sections are all two pages, front and back, and they are on thicker paper. The middle is a full two page spread, so you technically get 3 coloring pictures per section. The insides of the front and back covers are for coloring, too.

I'd probably recommend this for 7-11(on average). I imagine it'll start looking too childish for older girls, and most younger won't be able to color the complicated sections. (Of course, all children are on different levels, so that will vary, depending on the child. Plus, I know plenty of adults would love this Bible, too!) I wouldn't want to give it to a child too early, especially if they just carelessly color the pages. It wouldn't end up being the treasure it has the potential to be.

Overall, this is cute for a girl!

From the back of the Bible:
The wonders of the created world filled with the hues of your imagination.
With detailed black-and-white illustrations of amazing animals, landscapes and other wonders of creation, this Bible features over 50 ready-to-color pages alongside the full text of the New International Version (NIV) translation.

Features Include:
Lay-flat binding made for the perfect coloring experience.
Over 50 pages of black-and-white illustrations ready to be colored.
Key verses called out on each coloring page.
New International Version translation.
Presentation page for gift giving.
Ribbon Marker.

What I liked about this Bible:

It is a delightful Bible geared to ages 8 and older or grades 3 -7. It is a great way to encourage your child to read the Bible. The pages to color are thicker than the actual Bible pages helping to prevent bleed-through. The font in the Bible is crisp and clear, making it easy to read. It is a beautifully illustrated hard-cover Bible. The size is just right for carrying in your back pack. It comes with a presentation page that can be colored, along with a table of contents making it easy to look up the books of the bible and a ribbon marker to help keep your place. The back of the Bible has a page of common weights and measures used throughout the Bible. I also like that when it is opened it lays flat.

I am sure it would make a great birthday or Christmas gift. If you are a fan of the NIV Bible and are looking for an easy to understand Bible or a way to keep your child interested in reading the Bible this one fits the bill!... It has been my experience that sometimes crayon will rub off on the other pages, so I would recommend a good quality color pencil rather than crayons.

My Review:

Growing up my mother would of killed me of she even seen a hint of pen, pencil, marker or crayon going towards my Bible well these days it is encouraged in some versions. Since the adult coloring book has took the world by storm the Bible is no exception. In the NIV, Wonders of Creation Holy Bible by:Zondervan, you have over 50 pages of creativity ready at your fingertips. A beautiful Bible that you can now contribute to all on your own. Scripture is definitely noted on each of the coloring pages. And your Bible is still in it's correct form, as always.

I think this Bible would make the perfect gift for someone who enjoys the adult coloring books. You could pair it with a soothing music cd and some color pencils and it would make a terrific gift.

I've been enjoying Bible Art Journaling for awhile now and much to my delight my granddaughters have shown interest in doing it as well. The NIV Wonders of Creation Holy Bible is the perfect solution for introducing my younger grand girls to this form of worship.

This Bible has a ton of full-page art with Scripture just waiting to have color added. I feel like it is a great first step in encouraging my girls to meditate on a particular passage while they add their own personalization to the page. The only drawback to this particular Bible is that it doesn't have wide margins so you can't really do journaling on the pages. I do plan on showing them how to add some tip-ins so they can do art on passages that have deep meaning to them.

I am particularly excited about the presentation page. It has the usual to, from, and date sections but it also has beautiful butterflies just waiting to have color added. My plan is to color them in as a special memento from me to them.

This would make a wonderful gift for your favorite budding art enthusiast. Since the translation is the NIV it doesn't even have to be a child! May I also suggest the companion coloring book Wonders of Creation? Those two books and a pack of colored pencils (or markers, or gel pens) would be a really nice and encouraging present.

I received a copy of this Bible to facilitate my review.

It seems everybody and their mother is jumping on the Bible journaling bandwagon.

If you are looking for a way to dip your toe into the Bible journaling waters, then this book might be just the thing for you.

This Bible is the perfect vehicle for both Bible journaling and the adult coloring fad because it keeps the text intact (you don't draw over the words!), doesn't require any technical skill (the outlines are already there) and includes plenty of detail to really get in there and color some interesting designs.

Each coloring page is also graced with an appropriate Bible verse, so you don't have to stress over finding a good one to highlight.

When this Bible arrived, I immediately noticed its compact size (it's about 5 1/2" by 8 1/2" and just over an inch thick) and sturdy hardback cover.

I thought the "Wonders of Creation" theme for all the coloring pages was a good one, and each black-and-white drawing was clean and uncluttered, yet provided loads of details to fill with color.

I would recommend this Bible most to someone interested in beginning the journey into Bible journaling and coloring - or to anyone who's already in love with the practice.

I was provided with a copy of this book for free in exchange for my honest review.

The adult coloring book craze has reached the bible! That’s right, you can now purchase the Wonders of Creation Holy Bible and color it. And I would have to say there is a fair amount of coloring to do too!

I think this is a great gift idea for a teen or adult that loves to color and practice their faith. They can personalize their bible through coloring.

The illustrations are beautiful, most are different animals with a verse on the page. Like when you first open the book you see a gathering of butterflies and dragonflies. Then the next page is where you fill in who owns this bible and there are a few more butterflies to color in.

As you flip through the pages you will see many different illustrations to be personalized. One of my favorites is the peacock that takes up 2 pages and has a verse from Ecclesiastes on it. He has made everything beautiful in its time.

About a fourth of the way through there’s a 2-page picture of a raccoon and a quote from Genesis. Throughout the book, you come across beautiful illustrations that go along with the bible. It’s another way to engage with the bible.

While this Bible is geared toward children I think adults are going to enjoy it as well! First of all the cover of the Bible is so eye catching and really put a smile on my face. I love that there is a presentation page, and it can even be colored on. The size of this Bible is great, easy for youngsters to take to church or even slip into a backpack. The font is smaller, but it is geared toward younger people so that is to be expected. The pages that you can color on are thicker stock, and there are scriptures on each of those pages. The pink ribbon marker is also another neat little feature. Overall a great little Bible with black and white illustrations that are perfect for coloring. Youngsters are going to love coloring these pages which makes their Bible unique for them, but I actually I think young and old alike will enjoy coloring the pages of this Bible.

I have reviewed several different kinds of Bibles this year, so when I had the opportunity to review this NIV Bible, I thought why not? I have another coloring Bible and a journal Bible. I love my journaling Bible. The Wonder of Creating Bible is perfect for girls to read and color as they learn about the Lord. I love that this Bible gives them the opportunity to create, color and be creative in understanding the scriptures in a way that allows them to learn about who God is in a non-traditional way. The Wonders of Creation Bible is the perfect Size can fit into a Backpack, but is hardcover, so is perfect to go to school, church or throw in a bag and it won't get wrecked. I believe this Bible can get some heavy use out of it. I give this Bible 4/5 stars. I did not receive compensation for my review, but was given a copy for an honest review.

This is a nice hardback Bible. It is also the NIV version, the New International Version so it easy fairy easy for young people to read and understand.
The interesting thing about this Bible are the color pages throughout the Bible. There are 50 black and white pages to color in this Bible mostly animal figures like the picture of this peacock:

This Bible is labeled for ages 8 and up and I would agree...kids any younger would probably scribble in the entire Bible but older kids should understand the concept of coloring one designated page and not the written pages.
The coloring pages not only add color but add ownership to the Bible.
This Bible makes a wonderful gift and even an adult would love this Bible. I do!

Looking for a meaningful gift for that special girl in your life? Then you need to consider The NIV Wonders of Creation Holy Bible. Featuring the easy to read NIV translation, it also has beautiful illustrations to color. Each of the 50 illustrations are related directly to Scripture allowing the user to meditate on God’s word as they pursue their creative side. While this book is perfect for older children and teens, my grown-up friend said she would love this Bible too. For hours of coloring and reflecting, prayer and study, this Bible is a winner.

Recommended.

Audience: ages 10+

I think one of the best ways for children to relate to God is through nature. The Wonders of Creation Bible offers great drawings that will appeal to boys and girls. Each coloring page has a scripture, too. This would be a great gift Bible with a set of colored pencils. I'd recommend it for children ages nine through young adult. The hard cover is attractive and sturdy. I would have loved this Bible when I was a young girl. I received this book for free from Zonderkidz.

What a nice hardcover Bible.. I have started reading through it and although it recommended for ages 8 and up I find it would really be a very nice Bible for any age. I'm enjoying the coloring pages that are simple but with plenty of detail. The short verse to memorize is located with the scripture to read along with it. The ribbon to keep my place is very nice to have and I like that it is the NIV translation. This is really an all around beautiful Bible!
