Sorry ,but not for me....

Started off interesting and sexy and fun but quickly changed to dominating and controlling,,,,Since this wasn't set up as a D/s kinda book I felt a little blindsided by it.... I'm not a controlling or confrontational type of Woman but I'm not the slightest bit submissive either and I don't fantasize about a seemingly sexy guy who takes a strong confident warrior and starts acting all hard,bossy, and controlling w/her just coz he can like he's some Dom. Outta nowhere and suddenly her a battle hardened warrior is rolling over like a weak kitten in damp panties, all sure whatever you want ( coz your sexy and make feel things I never have before) you can boss me around w/no explanation what soo ever ;) I'm your doormat sub baby.... BS ... Sorry, I know this is some ppl' s thing and while it's not mine I might have enjoyed it at least some it been expected or made sense,but one minute he seems unsure of pursuing his attraction to her because she's soo dangerous and fierce and the next he's telling her to jump and she's asking how high and considering the book starts w/her showing what a bad ass she is/was I felt wrong to me... No lead up,no discussions,to sharing of personally preferences nothing,just acting on sexual chemistry and him bring all dominating and controlling and for me a jerk and a major turn off..
I'd love see the tender side to a Warrior woman like Kelis or a sexual where she's epithet treated tenderly ( in a society where there is little to none that would have been interesting) or equally matched where both commanding each other a bit or spanking etc. in the middle of a passion filled encounter,but him taking total control almost like he's her Dom. there to order her around ?
No thanks.... If what I just described is your thing,passion that is controlled and dominated by the male, w/explanation or build up ? Then you'll probably love it.. But it wasn't for me...

Very Good!

This book was fast paced, short & action packed. Kelis is a female warrior who as a favor to her father takes a assignment to protect an Admiral who is also a lawyer trying a murder case & has had several death threats. Kelis & the Admiral are immediately attracted to each other & this is the beginning of their story.

Good story about a tough female warrior.

She's a Lead Warrior sent to assess the Admirals security team. When they fail her test she is recruited by him to guard him until his new team arrives.

Whew! Hot, intense, fights, wounds and out of this world chemistry. Kelis and Gabe are smoking hot together. I absolutely loved this book the first two times I read it, and it did not disappoint the third time either. Fantastic plot, great characters and wonderful writing. Fabulous story Mina Carter!

Bodyguard

This is a page turner book. I just love the Gabe and Kelis dynamic as hero and heroine. Plenty of action and romance in outer space. Way to go Mina. Can't wait for the next one☺

Great Balls of Fire! I loved, loved, loved this story! Mina Carter has set our Kindles on fire - again - with The Admiral and the Wildcat, a fast-paced, super sexy, well crafted science fiction alien romance that grabbed me on the first page and held me completely enthralled until the very last line! I've been a diehard Mina Carter fan for years and she never fails to deliver an imaginative and totally unique read that keeps me on the edge of my seat begging for more. Carter is, without a doubt, one of the most talented storytellers I've ever read with extraordinary world building and character development skills. And her talent shines brightly in this exciting adventure. The narrative is beautifully written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view. My favorite! The dialogue is smart, seductive, well executed and flows effortlessly. Yes, I loved the story but my favorite component of this book is the characters. They are strong, intelligent, captivating, intriguing, engaging, sexy as sin and at times, quite humorous. Carter skillfully combines all these elements into a delightfully entertaining science fiction tale filled to the brim with danger, drama, action, romance and dreamy sex. After all, this is a Mina Carter story and we all know that Carter writes some of the most sensual and arousing sex scenes - ever! What did I love about this story? Everything! The Admiral gets a Wildcat when these two Bond Mates find each other. I absolutely loved this terrific sci-fi romance.

I love Mina Carter's books, she's one of my favourite authors and I've been reading her wonderful stories for years. Always engaging and well written in the third person with humour and steam so hot it'll burn you, I've never found one I didn't love and the totally captivating all action stand alone sci-fi romance 'The Admiral and The Wildcat' is another terrific treat from her pen. It's actually the first sci-fi romance I've read by Mina Carter but it certainly won't be the last. I was completely hooked by this fantastic story from beginning to end and so engrossed I was almost living it. This is definitely another winner from a terrific author and I really didn't want to put it down.

Set in a galaxy where most of the Saragosians currently living were born in trenches on the front lines in a war with their neighbours, the Satagosians, that lasted more than 700 years. Sent to fight at very young ages, the Saragosian race doesn't age, shrugs off near fatal injuries as if they were paper cuts and settles disputes of every kind in the Challenge Circle. With the Centuries War now over, the teams of warriors continue to fight and the Wildcat teams are occasionally used by the Alliance, or in this case, just one very skilled individual warrior.

Kelis Vann is an experienced Lead Warrior and commander of Wildcat Unit Alpha 374, who fought by her father Aarynn's side during the Centuries War, has arms full of black ink telling the story of her life and is continually being sexually harassed by Deln, a young, arrogant and cocky new member of her team who doesn't know when to take no for an answer, despite being repeatedly beaten by Velis, both in and out of the Challenge Circle. Her father wants her to go on an undercover assignment for the Alliance to check the competence of a security detail and although she doesn't like it, she's persuaded to go. When she meets Gabe, she's seriously attracted to the gorgeous, hunky and way too young for his reputation Admiral. Then she's asked to stay on, her routine undercover job turns into something completely different and resisting temptation proves a lot more difficult...

Former marine, now Alliance Fleet JAG, Admiral Gabriel Buchanan, one of the most feared men in the galaxy is out and about carrying out his duties, but due to a credible death threat has been given a six marine security detail and thinks that's overkill. Head of the secretive Special Forces Section 3, Colonel Arita Rhade doesn't agree, calls in a favour from the Vann Warlord, Aarynn, and sets up a little something of her own until she can get her forces into place as protection. He's really drawn to the young woman who introduces herself as the Base Hospitality Officer and is plotting a less than professional interlude but has a somewhat rude awakening when she temporarily takes out his assistant Dan and his entire security team in seconds. And despite having had no interest in women since his bitter divorce, he can't help his body's reaction to the beautiful warrior....

I really don't want to give spoilers here. This terrific story is packed with action from beginning to end, has some serious steam going on between Bond Mates Velis and Gabe, as well as some really stupid moves by Deln who obviously has seriously dubious morals, but I did have a really good laugh when he was brought down a peg...or five and by the one least likely. A wonderful cast of characters combine with the action, humour and happily ever after to make this a fantastic escape into another world for a few hours. I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review and I absolutely loved it. It's definitely a 5 star read and on my list of books to rescue if the house is burning down.

Oh...this was just awesome. I totally loved it! I want to know more about her people and hopefully Mina will do more of this series. I loved it that much! Kelis comes off a strong confident warrior woman and she is. She's VERY good..better than most males of her species. Her father is Warlord and thats a big deal and he's pretty tough and strong. She wants someone who isn't after a prize and the daughter of a Warlord is quite the prize. She seems hardened at first but once we get to know her she's a soft woman in need of the perfect man. She's sent on a mission to guard Gabriel a lawyer/Judge and former Marine I might add and he's human but he's big and sexy and dominant. Oh so yummy. He can totally handle himself. I loved these 2 together. Her tattoos are very intriguing and kinda cool if you think about it. They tell her story from beginning of her career at such a young age and they increase until the end of her life. They are a huge deal to her species. Gabe finds them sexy and wants to know what they say. I think the end when he claims she's his wife was sooo sweet and oh so hot! He just ups and says it in front of her father who then threatens him if he hurts her he's a dead man. He might seem hardened as well but his daughters mean a lot to him. Great book!

Mina Carter was one of the authors that started me reading the short reads. Each of her short sassy reads are so worth it. Her newest Admiral and the Wildcat just add it to the list of awesome reads that I love.

Kelis is so far from your average female and Buchanan is not just your average officer. Together they make good just that much better.

How can a red blooded human male take a woman to his bed that can prolly take him in a fight. Very carefully, kiss her to distraction. The Judge has a sexy bodyguard, she is as dangerous as they come. Kelis figures that the Judge is just another suit, but then will have to rethink herself when he kisses her and makes her go all soft like.

Short and loved it. Just enough mix of everything from beginning to end. Enjoy!

This is my first ever book by the talented Mina Carter and I am truly thankful that I was given this opportunity to read and review one of her books.
Mina's book is fast paced but the flow is what makes it easy to read.
The characters in the book are fantastic, Kells is a sexy, fearless Saragosians warrior and Gabe in my opinion is a beast of a man in physical form.
Even though he's human he can still handle himself against other species.
When sparks fly there is an immediate attraction between them. It's not your run of the mill live story, but a story I would love to read more of.
Mina Carter really does know how to write a book that will keep you glued to it for hours.

A great addition to the Saragosian series.

Kelis is the Warrior daughter of Warlord Aerynn Vann and, needless to say, one tough cookie. Her father assigns her to be the bodyguard of human Admiral Gabriel Buchanan, a tough as nails Alliance Fleet Judge Advocate General. Their mutual attraction is as hot as a match to dry kindling. Their mating only has to overcome assassins and a jealous fellow Saragosian. No one ever said the path to true love was ever smooth. I would have liked to learn more of Gabriel's personal history other than he was divorced.

Warriors are so hot!!!!

I absolutely loved this book... The Admiral was totally hot and did a great job at being both dominate and tender. He represented earth and humans well. I was also extremely enjoying the wildcat lead warrior Kelis. she was awesomely badass. She rocked at making her point... I especially loved her dad now that's a book I would love to read. That and Kelis's twin and other sisters..... Great job with this new series. I'm totally hooked... As if you couldn't tell.... Love your stories,great job and please keep writing!!!!!!!!

If you believe that laughter belongs in the bedroom and that tough girls can be sexy too you will love this book. I did. Wildcat Lead Warrior, Kelis is a badass. She has been a warrior her whole life. Not many challenge her and of those that do not many win. Kelis is less than thrilled to be assigned to protect a human Admiral/lawyer but is thrilled to find out that the Admiral is a former Marine and that warriors take all kinds of forms. The Admiral and the Wildcat is a fast paced fun and sexy read.

I enjoy Mina Carter stories, and she can really pack a wallop in a short amount of time. There was a nice continuous flow to this story, despite it being so small of a read. I did find the "I love yous" to be almost too instant, but it worked in this. Great short story. I kind of want to know more about these people. So if you read this Ms. Carter...I'd love more stories in this universe of yours.

This scifi has it all one tough woman and an even tougher human man. She is sent to protect him.....Exactly who is the tougher one and can he win her over while she does her job since she is on loan. Passion is super hawt you may want a very cold glass of water to put out the flames

This was a great read and really hope that we get to see more of this series, especially with kelis's sisters. I love reading books about female warriors as sometimes i get sick of reading the same thing where its always the hero that saves the day and never the heroine if that makes any sense.

I've always enjoyed Mina Carter's wildcat stories and this is going to be one of my favourites. Gabe and Kelis had some serious chemistry and I loved how protective they were of each other even though neither of them needed it. It made their relationship balanced. Would have liked an epilogue.
