Are you struggling with low self esteem and feel that the traditional self help advice is not working for you?
Then download this book today to learn an evidence-based approach to how to have a healthy self esteem.
In this book Martin Kaye explains the science and research behind self esteem, and why much of the advice out there on this topic is either incorrect, or even counter-productive.
For example, did you know that saying positive affirmations to yourself in the mirror may have negative effects on your self esteem?
In this book you will learn why this is, along with the following:
- The history of the self esteem movement - What the modern psychology has to say about the early studies - What a healthy self esteem is and how it is different from high self esteem - The most common pitfalls of traditional solutions for low self esteem - Why dealing with negative thinking or negative thoughts by turning them into something positive may not be a good strategy - What happy people have in common - What self love actually means - What role self discipline plays when it comes to self esteem
In addition Martin Kaye introduces you to a complete system designed specifically to build self esteem while avoiding all the traps. To help you put this system into practice a self esteem workbook comes as a companion to this book.
Are you ready for your journey towards Self Esteem Mastery?
Short, concise, and evidence based. I learned things that will help me to help others. I like that the author relied on actual research and the history of the self-esteem movement, showing where our ideas went wrong. I gave 4 stars because it was badly in need of editing.
"I’m not asking you to be perfect and never fall into this, whether it is when you speak to others or when you talk to yourself, because that’s impossible. But I do encourage you to make note whenever you find yourself on the bottom of any of these traps, and then aim to redirect your focus outwards, to conversations, to relationships, to tasks and projects. And when you succeed or fail at something, ask yourself what it was about the strategies you employed, or the level of effort"
Some factors that are strongly correlated with people with a healthy level of self-esteem. These factors are: Goals & Happiness Self-Compassion Self-Control & Habits
What type of actions make us happier then? Lyubomirsky has conducted several studies and from these I will give you just a few examples: •Expressing gratitude•Carrying out acts of kindness •Nurturing social relationships •Learning to forgive •Physical activity •Committing to your goals

I picked up Self Esteem Mastery: What Healthy Self-Esteem Is & How To Get It because one of my final papers for the semester was centered upon the theme of self-esteem. I didn't pay too much attention to the book itself before I purchased it, only the title since it met my assignment's needs, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that the book was actually quite good. I especially enjoyed how the author believes self-esteem to be worthy of the garbage, the comment was so unexpected that I couldn't help but laugh. This book was actually a pretty fun read and I highly recommend it to anyone, regardless of school assignments!
While this should not be the only thing you do, setting goals and feeling joyous in achieving them can be one of the best way to achieve self-esteem. Break a goal into smaller goals if you find it hard to tackle it. Do the right things and renounce the wrong things. Follow a role model and avoid of inflated confidence as a mask of self-esteem.
This book is a very good reference for people who tend to achieve a healthy self esteem. From science based investigations to an amazing workbook. Highly recommended!!m
It has great advice and knowledge for sure! I love that it has a workbook too! I find it easier to read and understand when I can follow along and work through a workbook as well. It allows me to go back and refresh.
Wow. I never expected this book to be so powerful. I have not downloaded the workbook yet, however I plan on it. I may re-read again before I do. Very helpful for my life.
I found this book to be very enjoyable and enlightening. It was a quick read. It does have some errors that really need editing. Some words are skipped and some sentences aren't completed. Overall it's definitely worth reading.
I enjoyed the information and it definitely gave me a new perspective on self esteem but I took off a start because the webpage for the work book is no longer there.
Self esteem is debunked to some extent in this quick and easy to read book. Focusing on balance, action and purpose, the book provides good insights and perspectives.
I’ve always been bored and weirded out by most uplifting “you can” “your are” stuff maybe it’s because I’m a bit of cynic, I haven’t really suffered from low self esteem but I was beginning to suspect that I had it,? I’m thankful that this is the first book I got cause it was informative and fun to read.
Got the ebook for free and the links to the free workbook don’t work. Would only recommend this book to a teenager. I didn’t hate the book but I wouldn’t buy it either.
This book talks about building your self esteem without focusing on self esteem. Focusing more on goals that you enjoy even if you fail makes sense to me. Very good read
