“Is that a yes or a no on the moving in thing? I’m unclear.”
Laughter bubbled from her lips and his heart squeezed in his chest simply listening to it, a sound he’d wondered if he’d ever hear again. He wanted to make her laugh every day. Right along with the sex every day too. They were going to be very busy.
“It’s a yes. Absolutely yes. And you’re right that I’m not ready for a marriage proposal.” She leaned over and kissed him, slow and tender. “But don’t wait too long. I love you.”

Arden Cavendish is back in Tremont and causing a sensation. Not only because it’s evident she plans to stay, she has a job to go with her new house and she’s divorced. Not to mention her controlling, politically crooked father, Ben’s no longer the sheriff, she looks great and still loves the man she lost her heart to fifteen summers ago.

It’s evident to his brothers though he doesn’t want to admit it to himself but Shane Anderson never got over his summer romance with Arden. Just like he won’t admit how broken he was when Ben gleefully told him Arden was marrying the man Ben had picked for Arden and she would forever be out of Shane’s reach.

After an antagonistically uncomfortable conversation with Arden at a town dance, and having his heart leap at seeing her again, Shane’s cornered by Ben taunting that Arden was reconciling with her husband. Arden is nearly run off the private road on her way home from that same dance and finds a cryptic note that her father’s out of town a few days.

Swallowing her pride, Arden asks Shane for help to find out if her father chose to leave and if he left under his own power. Shane’s willing to help and gains a promise that she’ll finally tell him why she left so abruptly. The search exposes long buried truths as the star-crossed lovers fear giving each other another chance in this nicely paced read.

Tough guy Shane turns to pudding w the right gal

This is book four in the Danger Incorporated series. Actually, it should be renamed the Anderson series. Shane has been in several books so we know we is a lawyer and a hound dog. We also know there was someone in his past that he has not let go.

Arden is back home after a disastrous marriage. She sees Shane at a function and her heart takes off. As she leaves she is run off the road and discovers her father is gone/missing. Shane turns into pudding and will do whatever to be near Arden again. Her father has an unscrupulous past, is missing, knowing he won’t make Father of the Year, he is still Arden’s father. Shane agrees to help her look for her father.

Suddenly Arden’s life is the opposite of what she thought. She has learned her father changed their names, her mother was murdered in Illinois. Shane and Arden head east to get some answers even if they are ugly. Wyatt helps with some digging around.

While Arden’s life is totally topsy-turvy, Shane is her glue. The reason why she left him is revealed and oh, young love unable to see past a big stone in the road. Shane literally turns to pudding. With Arden back he is not going to lose her again. His hound dog days are miles behind him.

4.5 Embracing danger stars!

Really enjoyed this book because after reading the first three, there was a lot of speculation about Shane’s past and why he is the playboy that he is! So it was nice to have these questions answered but also to find out more about the woman who so drastically changed his life when they were younger! Arden and Shane have a summer fling, but before he’s ready she leaves town unexpectedly. Now fifteen years later, she returns to town, after a failed divorce to start over, only to bump into the one person she didn’t expect to see so soon. Shane is still bitter about the past and how Arden left, but when her father disappears and she asks for help he can’t turn her away. Secrets, lies and manipulation is exposed when they dig further into her father and start putting together the mystery of why he left and where he went!

Embrace the danger and make sure you read this series!

Embracing Danget

Arden and Shane had been quite the item 15 years ago but for some reason she just moved away without a word and nearly ended Shane. So for the last 15 years Shane has dated any and every woman he wanted, but none of them could measure up to Arden. Arden is back in town to live again and when Shane runs in to her, nothing good comes of it. When Garden's father disappeared she couldn't get the police to look into things so she turned to Shane. As they dug into her father's past her life unravels as she finds she has been living a total lie her entire life. Will Shane be able to protect from the anguish and trouble she finds and will this bring them back together or rip them apart forever?

Shanes story

If you've been following this series then you know Shane is the consummate ladies man. Finally we the woman who broke but still owns his heart. Their second chance will leave you with tears but you can't help rooting for their happily ever after. The mystery in this story is better than the last but you likely still figure it out before the big reveal. I hope Wyatt's story is next.

I love when a series keeps getting better and better--especially 4 installments in!! I have adored Shane from the beginning and loved his connection with Arden. I am such a sucker for second chance romances and this was no exception. A great romance with lots of action and mystery! Can't wait for #5!

The storyline didn’t go in the direction I thought it would. There is one shocking revelations after another.
What didn’t work for me was Arden and Shane as a couple. They didn’t have that something special. I just didn’t feel any chemistry between them, which had me skipping over their numerous sex scenes. The reasons around their original break-up, is over used in books.

Embracing Danger (Danger Incorporated Book 4)

The love story of Shane and Arden. Shane and Arden were once lover and now she is back. The secrets of her past is coming to live. How will she take learning of her mother's death and all the lies her father and grandmother told her? Great story.

I loved this! Poor Arden and the twists and turns of her life. Every new discovery kept me on the edge of my seat. Drawing love and strength from Shane was beautiful, I loved how he supported her and gave her just what she needed whilst being so strong and calm.
I can’t wait to read the next book.

Shane and Ardens story has to be my favourite so far, Ardens father goes missing and no body seems interested until Shane gets involved. Absolutely no plot giveaways - so many twists and turns and you will not ever guess the ending. Brilliant book

Entertaining

This is the story of a dysfunctional family with control issues, too much power and too much greed. There is the mystery of the unsolved murder from thirty years ago. Plus, love gets a second chance. All these elements make an interesting read.

I enjoyed this 4th entry into the Danger, Inc. series. Shane Anderson loved Arden Cavendish but she left him. He decided never to love again so he's a serial dater/playboy. Fifteen years later after a divorce, Arden returns to Montana. Arden's father goes missing and she asks Shane for help. He agrees and tells her they can be friends, but that after they find her father she must tell him why she left him. The search for her father brings up painful secrets in Arden's family. Shane is with her. She finally tells Shane why she left. It's a painful discussion. They agree to move on with finding her father. The mystery part of the story was really interesting. There was much for Arden to deal with and Shane was with her through every step. A good HEA.

I was really looking forward to Shane's book - I knew I would enjoy it.

One of my favourite things about Ms Jaymes' books is that her characters are always the right age for their experience and once again it was so here.

There were plenty of twists in the plot. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and now have to wait for the next one (oh I wish authors wrote faster!)

A great addition to the series. I shed more than a few tears in places. A rekindling of past love always involves past hurts, too. Add in a mystery to be solved and more than a few suprises and you have another hit!
