Detailed biographies of all the past and present Presidents of the United States of America. This new edition includes Barack Obama, taking his historic place among all the other Presidents of the United States.
In school, American History was never a favorite subject and it’s odd how I didn’t retain any learning. But I have to thank Lin Manuel Miranda for awakening interest, starting with Hamilton, then the Founding of the Republic in general, the Federalist papers and the presidents. This book fills in a lot of basic details from GW through GWB concisely with some bit of context and data. It’s a worthy paperback reference with a nice glossy cover that feels good in the hand for scanning.
Excellent short but informative booklet on Presidents. Interesting to see population stats etc for each President and learning that 4 Presidents were shot and killed while in office, thus 4 VPs subsequently became President. 4 died whilst in office again promoting the VPs. Ford wasn’t elected as VP or as President...interesting and very useful for young and older audiences to grab interesting facts without having to read a tomb or someone’s personal option. This slim booklet only took me up to 41st Pres. George Bush so I may source a more up to date copy.
Cursory look at the presidents up through Reagan. Considering the brevity of the book, it had a lot of information packed in but it was essentially just a skim of presidential history.
