I don't often talk about the physical aspects of books in reviews, but when there's something special going on, I make an exception.

"100 Interiors Around the World" is published by Taschen in a hardcover, compact, 14 x 20 cm edition, which is somehow very satisfying to hold and read. The quality of the paper feels good, the size is just right and while it's the size and weight of a brick, it's a very nice brick.

Moving on to the contents, not all the interiors showcased here are great. Some are decidedly not, such as a cautionary tale of a house deigned by an artist, rather than an architect, which has a bedroom so narrow that it barely fits the bed. But the interiors are *varied*, from rich and minimalistic, to overly decorated, to shabby and so old the kitchen tiles are broken, to Berlin communist chic (whyyy would you... never mind). While I wouldn't live in most of these places, they're interesting to look at, and I never got the feeling that I was seeing mere repetitions on the same theme.

Some homes were pretty nice, but I wouldn't want to live in most of them. They look like a museum, boring, bland, ugly, or that someone just plopped a home in a concrete home without thinking of decorating it at all.
Often I just liked elements from homes, but not the home totally.
I did love the variety we see homes from all over the world.

Some pretty spectacular interiors, and as such, decorating ideas, are in these two large format volumes!

Perfect book to read when you want to scroll. So many photographs and amazing spaces. I particularly liked the homes with the more maximalist/artistic vibe.

Inspirativna knjiga puna prekrasnih fotografija za sve koji traže ideje za uređenje doma (ili za okruženje u priči, mig-mig).
