Rate this book

The Armstrong brothers are wealthy, wild-at-heart bad boys—until their father’s will demands they prove themselves and marry in order to inherit their fortune.

Eldest brother Cooper channels his reckless spirit into becoming CEO of his own airline. The only thing better than the adrenaline rush of flying is his one-night stand with a stunning stranger. At first he doesn’t recognize the fiery barista he clashes with years later at an airport coffee shop. But when Stormy Halifax turns up as his new house sitter, Cooper knows she’s his Cinderella. And he doesn’t just want her in his mansion. He wants her back in his bed.

Stormy can’t believe she’s living under Cooper’s roof. Gorgeous and arrogant, he’s convinced she’ll surrender again—and he’s right. But just as Stormy is succumbing to a world of pleasure, her trust is shattered. And the biggest challenge Cooper has ever faced will be proving he wants Stormy, now and forever, for all the right reasons.

Excruciatingly painful. I haven’t had a strong dislike for a book in a very long time. You have been warned. Full rant ahead.

This sounded really promising but…..

Have I learnt my lesson? Probably not. Because I’m slow…….

I’m sure I’m up to making it 25 or 26 times now. Yet. It. Doesn't. Work.

Where to start?

The first 10 % is tough going we meet all four brothers and they are nasty. They are arrogant, spoilt, full of themselves, egoistical, selfish, spineless, yes the list could go on but I'll stop here. Hang on and a certain expected entitlement.

It got to the point where I was going to stop reading. Their father is dying and they go out drink, pick a fight, and throw their money around. What the fuck? Your. Father. Is. Dying. Grow a pair. Pronto.

On top of that the stipulations of the inheritance has changed. They don’t get their fortune until they have achieved becoming men and oh yeah once they get married they get the dosh. You all see where this is going right? Yeah me too.

If any of you are called Stormy or you know someone with that name then please forgive me but she sounds like a complete airhead, well the name does anyway. If I'm digging the grave I might as well go all in.

Stormy crashes a wedding with her friend and meets Cooper Armstrong. They each fall into one another’s arms and yet they cross paths six years later. HE can’t remember that they slept together. I mean how can he it was six years ago and she was blonde but now is back to being a brunette. Maybe I should cut him slack. Ah no!

And it just goes backwards and forwards from there. Seattle really is quite small so imagine my surprise that Stormy knows Uncle Sherman. And the coot is a meddling.

Quite frankly I didn't get their issues at all. It was predictable. The misunderstanding was for nothing. There were certain elements that reminded me of other books so there were story plots being reused. As this is an extended and re-edited version I don't know what the first book was like.

I think that women should have the right to do whatever they want. If they want to be a Mum then that is cool. If you want to be a career driven woman. Super these are all role models that we need. But Stormy didn't even attempt to go after her dreams. She was sitting around at home waiting for Cooper to turn up. I mean why?

This book is sickeningly sweet. Too sweet. Toothache sweet well for me anyway. This is the second book I read by her. The first one was yep you guessed it a millionaire romance. Did I learn my lesson? No see above because dumb.

There are some positive bits to this book let me think what they are.

Still thinking here…..

 photo Thinking_zpsh0i77wdg.png

Yeah might take a while…..

Got it, Uncle Sherman.

Oh I got another one.

I finished it.

I get naming your kids Cooper & Nick. But Maverick and Ace. This isn't Top Gun you know. What's wrong with normal names? Give me a Tom, Dick and Harry.

This is just my personal opinion. Therefore take it with a pinch of salt. As I am a glutton for punishment I probably will read the second one. It reminded me a lot of the meddling relatives of the other book I read by Ms. Melody.

I really enjoyed this one! Cooper was a sexy pilot and Stormy was a woman trying to make it on her own. They meet and have a hot and steamy one night stand but Stormy leaves before Cooper wakes up and he doesn't see her again for 6 years. I would say this is a second-chance romance since it is 6 years before they see each other again. I really liked both of these characters and the supporting characters (especially Cooper's meddling uncle and his brothers.) This was a sweet and steamy romance and I'm really looking forward to reading more in this series.

3 ~ Turbulent ~ Stars

This was a Cinderella romance between the down on her luck Stormy and arrogant pilot, Cooper. When Stormy comes face to face with Green Eyes (aka Cooper), the sexy one night stand she had six years ago, her pride suffers a blow when he doesn't recognize her at first glance. It doesn't help that the man she's built up in her mind as Prince Charming acts more the jerk faced frog than tender lover.

Cooper lives the mile high lifestyle and is arrogant and pretty full of himself. After setting off on his own to prove he could make something of himself and not just be a trust fund baby, he is now CEO and pilot of his own airline. Life is good, but having Stormy back by his side flips his care free life into a tailspin.

Throw in a meddlesome but well meaning uncle and a magnetic and irresistible attraction and Turbulent Intentions was a fun ride to a HEA. The story was cute in a classic Harlequin novella way and the steam factor was 4/5. This was short and sweet.

I liked that Cooper finally grew a pair and became the kind of alpha H Stormy deserved (and I like.) Wish Stormy would have made him work for it a little harder, considering her hurt feelings and his general playboy attitude.

Definitely curious about the rest of the Armstrong brothers but especially Ash.

I am so torn with this review .....

I love Melody Anne & have read most of her books, and I had read the Below the radar that was co-wrote with Mary Joyce .... am I am really sorry to say but that was a much better read.

the new book makes you dislike cooper ... the additional chapters do not add anything to the book but confusion, its seems to jump around all over the place ......

will I buy another Melody Anne book ... Yes .... will I look forward to reading it ... maybe not !

This reminded me of a Harlequin book written in the 1980's....The story had all the characteristics of an Harlequin 80's H- Arrogant, cocky, good looking (and knows it!), Gods gift attitude, disgustingly rich (whilst h has nothing!) etc etc.

I couldn't quite get into it and nearly threw my hands up in surrender several times but eventually got to the end. This was the first book I have ever read by MA as she is new to me and was gonna give her and the rest of the series a miss, but was eventually swayed by the high rating (4.10 overall) this was given as well as how the rest of her books have been received.

I still can't get myself to rate it more than 2 stars but have accepted that it might just be one of those things, afterall we can't all fall in love with everything an author writes and maybe this falls into that category. I already have the next 2 in the series and will go ahead and read them before making a final decision of whether or not to continue reading MA books.

He was a playboy and she was a sobbing story!!! They meet years ago and had a one night stand. The morning after she escaped and then a long time gap. The hero searched for the heroine like three months after their ONS but couldn't find her. Then he continues his playboy lifestyle. And She continues her life by taking care of her sick mother.... then they meet again after six years...

Well, I disliked the first half of the story and then the cheesiness started and continues...
End of the story!!!

Safety Issue: It was safe after they meet the second time.

Great story

Slow start but got really good and really hot.

I again tried to just listen in the car in my way to and from work, it got to a point where I had to see what happened and I had to read the rest. I know I am so impatient.

I liked Stormy. She had some spunk for sure. Cooper grew on me. There interaction was HOT!! Sex in a plane was a new one for me. The brothers seem very interesting and I can't wait to read their stories. Loved Uncle Sherman sweet meddling old man!

Sweet read not a cerebral read just sweet!

description

Melody Anne has been writing books for quite a while. Why I've never read one before now makes absolutely no sense. Apparently, I'm an idiot because I have really been missing out. And before you roll your eyes about this being a billionaire book, just stop it. I know how those millionaire books are and I know how much people hate on them. But this one was different. It wasn't snooty or standoffish or even something us peasants can't relate to. It was awesome. It was magical. It is a new favorite.

Usually I have page after page of notes on the book that I'm reading. I have a horrible memory and jotting those sometimes snarky notes down is the only thing that helps me remember all of my issues and/or likes with a book. You know how many notes I had for this book? Zero. Zip. Nada. I had none! I think it was because I didn't have time to write anything down! I blew through this book at an embarrassing pace. Simply put: I just couldn't get enough. Of course, in hindsight, I wish that I had slowed down because now it's over and I'm a little ashamed of my reading binge but it was SOO good.

Basically, I loved everything about this book. The characters were absolutely perfect, the plot was exciting and kept me interested and the ending/beginning/everything-in-between was exactly how it should be. I should really expound on that statement but I kinda don't want to. I know that in the excited verbal explosion that will come, I will give away some plot-twist or secret that you really need to experience first-hand. I will say this ... this is no ordinary billionaire book. Unlike most books in this little genre, it didn't put the money as the subject of the book. It was something that was there, lurking in the background but it didn't take priority over the important stuff on these pages. It gave me a new respect for books like it but I know that none will ever be able to measure up.

There was one thing that I detested ... the ending. Hated it. There should have been at least 300 more pages to this story because I just didn't want it to end. The only light at the end of this tunnel is that I have the next book in the series on my Kindle. Right. Now. Yep. I just got it today and I CANNOT wait to dive into it because the Armstrong brothers ... sweet, baby Jesus. I want an Armstrong brother. Christmas is coming up if someone wants to get me a tall, dark and handsome gift. My husband won't mind. Fine, he would. But he would probably get over it. LOVE this book. ADORE this book. I really hope that the next book is just as good or I will lose my shit. There's a lot to live up to but I have a feeling that this author is going to deliver and maybe even top Turbulent Intentions. Just save me the time it will take to harass you to read this book and go get it. Immediately.

I ask myself now, as to why I have gotten the chance of stumbling into great books lately... First it was Hard Rules by Lisa Renee Jones, and then yesterday with Wicked Beautiful by J. T. Geissinger which was a tear-jerker! In comparison to that book from Turbulent Intensions by Melody Anne, this book also had the similar outcome.

BLUR: The Armstrong brothers are wealthy, wild-at-heart bad boys—until their father’s will demands they prove themselves and marry in order to inherit their fortune.
Lets begin with what captivated me the most in the beginning of this book: THEIR NAMES! Holy guacamole!

Cooper was the oldest at twenty-four, each of his brothers one year, almost to the date, behind him: Nick at twenty-three, Maverick at twenty-two, and Ace, the baby, at twenty-one.

COOPER, NICK, MAVERICK, and ACE! Dear lord, I'm drooling over those names cause honestly, they are perfection! Sons, all born with a cash-wad of money handed to them on a silver platter, makes them even interesting to be honest.

The cliché story of how their father passes away and leaves them an inheritance that they have to change if they want to obtain that inheritance, is not new. They all have to find true love, just like their father did with their mother in the next ten years, or else the money does not go to them, in quarters.

In the beginning it is provided that Stormy- the female protagonist- had a past that she does not want to relive and reveal to Cooper- the male protagonist and the oldest brother. When they met, sparks definitely flew everywhere and it radiated from the page itself when I was reading it!

The obvious about Cooper being a true bachelor is very well described in this book. From the way he dresses to the way his room is explicitly described- being all masculine, and making Stormy's presence bring "an exotic flavor that had never been in his masculine room before."

Through out the passage, Cooper's mind makes it aware that he has met Stormy before, from the gap of six years after that one night stand. Not only is the sexual tension between them strong and is present in every way, but the conformity of each other's presence is endearing. The little things Cooper does in this story are absolutely romantic. They simply make you fall in love with the idea of romanticism being true and alive. From making in-house-dinner-dates, to flying across the country for one day in his "baby," aka his owned plane that he flies. The sensitivity of not pushing Stormy to do things she does not desire, coming from Cooper is ideally sweet as well.

A surprise that took me out of the blue, was the ending! Holy WHAT?!!! I was not expecting that sort of climax to release itself like that!

In general, this love story has indeed out done itself because it was just absolutely wonderful. The second book to this series is called Turbulent Desires, releasing on November 6th with the story of Maverick & Lindsey. So stay tuned for the announcement of the book! Here is the cover:

BLUR: ER nurse Lindsey Helm used to be strong. Then a late-night attack at the hospital nearly killed her and left two close colleagues dead. Now Lindsey has retreated from the world. She knows she needs to move on, but every hint of danger seems threatening—including a certain sexy fly boy who’s determined to show Lindsey what she’s missing. But falling for F-18 pilot Maverick Armstrong is a risk she can’t afford… Maverick knows that fear can eat away at the soul, and he won’t leave Lindsey to that fate. She needs someone to reach her and to remind her of the exhilaration and unbelievable passion of being touched. He’ll help her heal, and then he’ll walk away. He has to walk away. Because Maverick swore he would never fall in love and never marry. But this is a rescue operation, and Maverick will stay the course—even if things get hazardous. Even if saving Lindsey means surrendering his heart in the process…Lindsey, huh? I guess Stormy's best friend will be the next conquest! But to be honest, I want to read about the mysterious Ace... I'm sure Melody is leaving the best for last ;)
Goodreads rating: FIVE STARS!

Safety Level: Safe with exceptions. H and h had a one-night stand several years before. Both have been with other people during the separation.
Cliffhanger: No on the romance. Yes on the general series arc.
Ending: HEA

I started this series because I got a free copy of the third book from NetGalley. I didn't want to read that book and start in the middle, in case there was a bigger story than the standalone installment. And I was right. There is, in fact, a series arc that won't be wrapped up until, I'm assuming, the very last book. This first book introduces the four brothers, their upbringing, and the big event that was the turning point in their lives. In this case, it was the death of their father and the reading of his will and his stipulations.

I've read dozens of books with this kind of scenario. They are forced to get married to gain access to their inheritance. While the Armstrong men do not really need their father's money, it was the fact that they were being dictated that pissed them off. The four brothers were separated soon after this. The elder three brothers did wise up, got decent jobs, earned lots of money, and lived productive lives. It was Ace, the youngest, who lived to push the limits.

The romance part of this book was unusual. The main characters had a one-night stand several years ago. When the heroine sees the hero again at an airport coffee shop where she worked, she was mad that he didn't remember her. And that's the weird part for me. Okay, maybe the heroine has grown up, doesn't look the same anymore or whatever. But it was still disappointing that the hero was that much of a douche that he couldn't remember her. And he was supposed to have remembered all the women he'd been with. So why not remember the girl who would end up being the one?

Anyway, I think that was the only thing I couldn't reconcile. As a first book, it was solid because it introduced a bigger story while also giving the reader a complete romantic experience. We also get to know how interwoven these people's lives are. We have a meddling, match-making uncle who's in connivance with his friend. I will be moving on to the next book right away and see what happens then.

Turbulent Intentions (Billionaire Aviators #1) by Melody Anne is the first book in the series around the Armstrong Brothers.

Those guys might be wealthy but they are far from the usual Billionaire romance novel guys. Shaped by an event in their past the brothers use different coping mechanisms but the on thing they agree on is to not give in to what is expected from them.

This book is about Cooper the oldest of the brothers and his second chance at his one night stand with Stormy.

While the story is more or less predictable it still makes a wonderful and easy beach read.

You just need to be able to refuse to acknowledge that some parts of the story feel farfetched. But trust me – I am usually OCD’ing on facts and I was able to just acknowledge and brush those facts away because the story feels simply good.

It seems that the story has been published earlier under a different name but as I do not know the original I can not say anything about the changes between the editions. The only thing I am sure of is that I will definitely read the next book in that series too, because there is one brother that I am especially interested in.

This was my first book by Melody Anne and I can recommend it if you are looking for an entertaining romance novel with enough depth and a little (even if predictable) suspense.

I really enjoyed this one. It's classic Melody Anne at her best. If you read any of the Anderson or Titan books then you will want to put this one on the must read list. Joseph Anderson back at the matchmaking we grew to love in this author's previous books. This time his victims are the nephews of his good friend Sherman. Six years ago the four Armstrong brothers lost their father but before he died he put out a challenge to them, If you want your inheritance, grow up, learn what is important in life, and marry. While most of their wild ways have been put aside, none of them appear to be in any hurry to marry. Cooper Armstrong is loving life as an airline pilot (forget the fact that he actually owns the airline) and getting married isn't even on his radar. Then he meets an intriguingly sassy barista at the airport coffee shop. Stormy Halifax can't believe Cooper Armstrong doesn't remember her. OK so their one night stand was six years ago but to not remember her at all??? The sparks between these two really begin to fly when she shows up as his new house sitter!

This is a completely entertaining read and a book I'd recommend to everyone.

Turbulent Intentions is an entertaining and feel-good contemporary billionaire romance. In this particular case, the billionaire is also a swoon-worthy pilot! It’s a story about fate and soulmates that I thoroughly enjoyed. In some ways, it is reminiscent of Cinderella. Stormy and Cooper are engaging characters, and I definitely rooted for them.

After a chance encounter that resulted in a one-night-stand, Cooper never forgot Stormy. But unfortunately, she disappeared without a trace, leaving behind a locket. With a little help from his matchmaking uncle, Cooper will be reunited with Stormy six years later. And this time, sparks definitely fly between them!

Melody Anne has woven a story that is perfect of sexiness and sweetness, with some edge-of-your- seat suspenseful scenes as an added bonus. If you are a fan of billionaire romance with an emotional touch, this book is an excellent choice.

DNF at 4%. I don’t feel like reading yet one more book that elevates being married as the pinnacle of adulthood.

“You have ten years to turn your lives around. At the end of that ten years, if you haven’t proven yourselves self-sufficient, by working hard, being respectful to your mother and your uncle, and bringing something to the society that you live in, then your inheritance will be donated to charity.”

“You will receive your full inheritance once you marry.”

That’s it? You can prove all of that by just getting married? I call BS.

I loved everything about Cooper and Stormy - so I really enjoyed this book.

Turbulent Intentions is another billionaire romance novel and for some odd reason I've been getting hooked on them. It also doesn't hurt that they are free on Kindle with a narrator. So, these books have become a life savor for when I'm at work and bored typing away data stuff.

I don't want to spoil too much about this book - other than saying it was really good. Cooper is a pilot, where his life does get in danger once throughout the book. Stormy is his one night stand from 6 years ago when they met at a wedding - that she crashed. I don't know how a one night stand can become that memorable but it was always on their mind. Also, they've worked at the same airport and never knew it. He being a pilot just probably never noticed that she worked at a coffee shop in that said airport. But then again, she didn't notice either.

In the end, they live happily ever after and then some. Honestly the whole ending of the book was simply adorable. Plus, I love their crazy uncle who was trying to play match maker the entire book. I can't wait to read/listen to the next book!

3.5 stars rounded up. Available to read and listen via Kindle Unlimited. I chose to listen to this and the narrator did a pretty good job. Cute 2nd chance romance that was a little on the predictable side but with enough sass to keep the reader involved.

After a one night stand, Cooper and Stormy go their separate ways only to become reacquainted 6 years later. Only Cooper doesn't recognize Stormy.. and shes mad as hell about it. That night ruined her for all others. Cooper remembers the girl he picked up at a wedding 6 years ago.. he spent months trying to find her afterward. It doesn't take long for him to see some similarities in Stormy though, and then figure it out.. Only now everyone is too stubborn to admit if first. Stormy winds up moving in with a friends "nephew" after being fired and evicted only to find out Cooper is the nephew. Game freaking on!

These two had great chemistry even though there was a little of "Me think thou dost protest to much," going on. Stubborn characters are sometimes the most eye rolley lol. All in all it was an entertaining read with a little humor thrown in here and there. I going to go ahead and say that I will most likely be seeing what the rest of this series has to offer.

I loved this story about Cooper and Stormy. Cooper, an airline pilot doing his best to maintain his own life and somehow inadvertently fulfills his fathers wishes in part, save for the marriage deal.
Cooper and Stormy meet at a wedding 6 years prior to the start of this story share a hot steamy night and go their separate ways. Between this we get back story from both characters and brings us to current day where Stormy is working as a barista in an airport and behold the customer standing in from of her, none other than Cooper who fails to recognize her. Well, leave it to Uncle Sherman to mix things up with these two, determined to see them together... and when they did the sparks just flew. I loved Stormy, her sassy temperament, who seemed to handle life as it came at her, regardless of the circumstance and Cooper... well Cooper was that dirty talking, hot slice of man meat you want to make a sandwich out of, no condiments necessary. Good man, great woman, great story, the book had it all. Melody Ann writes a great story and this was no exception.

3.5 Stars!

This was cute and silly beginning to the series of the Armstrong brothers. I loved that Joseph Anderson was in cahoots with Sherman Armstrong to meddle in the lives of the brothers to match them up. If you haven't read the Anderson series, Joseph Anderson set his sons up with their wives in a set of stories like this one. It's only natural he be in this series helping Sherman meddle into his nephews lives.

Melody Anne is really good at creating fun, low angst stories that have great down-to-earth heroines who are easy to love and cocky millionaire men who need these women to bring them down to earth. I look forward to reading the rest of the Armstrong brothers series!

I listened/read this book and it reminded me why I love Melody Anne's books. I has been far too long since I had read one, and Cooper and Stormy's story reminded me of why I love to read. The characters are well-developed and her storylines are so clean that the story moves forward flawlessly. The story begins with Stormy leaving her comfort zone and crashing a wedding, where she meets the devastatingly handsome pilot. Cooper begins the story as a flawed, reckless young man who needs to clean up his act in order to get his inheritance. He and his brothers live the high life, though the death of their father threatens to change their futures.
Stormy struggles to overcome the loss of her parents, putting her dreams on hold. Luckily she has an older guardian angel, who helps her when times get really tough. Thrown together again, the couple dodges and weaves around each other until their eventual HEA. There is heartache, lust, pain, and passion throughout the book. The journey is tense and turbulent but the landing is one hundred percent worthwhile.
Teri Clark Linden pulls the reader into the story and does an excellent job of voicing characters and emotions of both sexes. I have listened to several books by her and have enjoyed the her narrations so much I look now for titles read by her.

This was a quick and easy read which I have thoroughly enjoyed reading. I suspect it won't be long until I start the next book in the series.

The main characters are Stormy and Cooper. Cooper is one of the billionaire brothers who in order to get the rest of their inheritance they need to find someone to share their life with and marry them. Stormy remembers Cooper from a night at a party years ago and now she is working at a coffee shop in the same airport. The two run into each other again by chance but it is Cooper's uncle that works as a matchmaker to ensure the two end up together.

There are a few secondary characters but I think they will all be further mentioned in the other books in the series.

The storyline isn't the most original but it is a nice quick and easy read. The pacing is good although I thought the ending was a little rushed.

Kindle recommended this book after reading Marie Force, and it was a complete disappointment. I should have DNF'd it at 30% when I was over the author's continuous reiteration of the heroes cockiness, wealth, and ability to make women fall at his feet. I couldn't find a single redeeming qualities about any of the characters in this book. It was boring and predictable, but I had to laugh when at 80% the couple finally decided to practice safe sex...too little, too late! I wish I had some positive thoughts on this story, but the only reason it is getting a whole two stars is because I finished it.

More Melody Anne greatness

Have you ever studied the book and run able to put it down? Kept you up all night wanting to read more and figure out what happened next? It seems like every time I read a book by Melody Anne I get consumed and can't stop until I have reached the end of the book… no, makes that the end of the series!
