Officer John O’Connor is giving up on life after a terrible accident. His family are at their wits end when he refuses any kind of therapy. The only thing keeping him sane is his dreams of a beautiful woman he pulled in for a traffic violation months before.
Physical Therapist Stephanie Kelly is healing from a broken heart. When she is hired by Nightingale’s personal care and physical therapy, she’s ecstatic but she's shocked when her boss asks her to take on a new patient. Shocked because the patient is her boss's nephew and he’s not exactly keen on therapy. He’s also the cop who's been heating up her dreams.
As Stephanie helps John get back on his feet, they grow closer, but someone is out to hurt Stephanie, or worse. After multiple attempts on her life, John’s family tries to figure out who’s after the woman he loves and stop them before it’s too late.
What does someone say to describe themselves? You could start with giving what others say about you. Scratch that. It doesn't really matter what others think about you. It matters what you think of yourself. So here we go.
First of all, I'm a wife and mother. I'm also a new grandmother. That alone would fulfil any woman's life. To be honest it does. But.....
I'm also a writer. Someone who loves to tell stories of love, suspense, heartache and of course happily ever after. For most of my life, I've written those stories for myself. A type of therapy, I suppose. I love the characters I create. They become part of who I am because there's part of me in them.
So.... Now that you know this about me. I hope when you read my books, you fall in love with them.
You should also know that I'm a Newfoundlander. What is that you ask? Well we're a proud people who live on an island, off the east coast of Canada. Some people believe Canada ends with Nova Scotia. It doesn't. If you keep going east, there is a beautiful island full of amazing people and magnificent scenery. That is where my stories are set because let’s face it. The best stories always come from the places you know and love.
If there is anything else you would like to know about me. Ask me!
Sorry, a cop who gives up on life because he has a busted collarbone, ribs and a broken leg with the prospect of making a full recovery is just whiny and not my type of hero... DNF 21%

Stephanie meets John as she runs a red light taking her sister Marina to the hospital. As Officer John O'Connor stops the beautiful woman, he finds that Marina is in labor and an ambulance is needed immediately. Marina names him Officer Hunky because he's so good looking. John sees Stephanie again later at the hospital after his shift to return the handbag she dropped at the traffic stop. He finds it hard to forget her because their attraction is so strong.
Months later John is severely injured in an auto accident with a moose. His aunt, who is known as a matchmaker, decides Stephanie is his perfect match as well as a highly experienced and well liked physical therapist. She is hired to be his therapist and live in caretaker while he undergoes rehab at home. As his therapy progresses, their attraction grows stronger. They are so cute together and their interactions with his family are fun as his many brothers tease them. His grandmother is very tiny but rules the men in the family with only a glance or a few words. She is fun and loves Stephanie right away!
Someone is trying to scare or hurt Stephanie and John's family steps in to protect her. The suspense builds as the attempts escalate without any concrete evidence to lead to the suspect.
His family consists of six attractive and lively brothers that I hope will find their loves in future books. I see a good series in their future and can't wait to read more!

Review: *****5 Hunky O’Connor Brothers Stars*****
I was blown away by this exciting, romantic, suspenseful love story by a new author to me, Rhonda Brewer! This first book of the O’Connor Brothers series was very well written and drew me in from the first chapters. John O’Connor, a police officer, pulls over a car that runs a red light. What he encounters is a frantic, very upset beautiful young woman in the driver's seat who immediately explains she is trying to get her sister to the hospital as she is in labor. John experiences an intense attraction to this young woman which confuses him. Everything turns out ok with her sister and they go their separate ways. What ensues is a series of events that includes the death of John’s twin brother’s wife from cancer, and after the funeral, John decides to drive to his cabin to get away but tragedy strikes and his car collides with a moose and he is severely injured. We meet all of the O’Connor brothers and wow, what a bunch of hunky, flirtatious men! Then we meet the adorable, spitting fireball, Nanny Betty! A tiny slip of a woman who rules this clan with a stern look and iron fist. I fell in love with her! John’s family hires a physical therapist and live in caretaker to get him back on his feet, and the gorgeous young woman who John pulled over walks in his door. That is as much as I am going to give you! There is suspense, attempted murder, crime, some very steamy encounters, and a romantic ending that will make you swoon! Plus a hint of which O’Connor brother may be in the hot seat next!

OMG!!!!! I had the time of my life reading this book and it left me on a book high for days. If you enjoy romantic suspense with a little comic relief in form of a nana that is pint size but takes no prisoners then John and Stephanie story is the 1-click you will definitely enjoy.
Stephanie was the chosen one by John aunt for more than just helping with his therapy after a tragic accident where the family thought he would not recover from but what the aunt didn't know was that they crossed paths prior and the reunion had him seeming like a butt but Stephanie pushed on through and worked her magic. She did not let any of their past loves get in the way even if it did seem like they wanted her dead. They tried their best but in the end love prevailed, mystery was solved, and a whole lot of WTF was along the way. Yes, be ready to scream, curse, and talk in tongues to yourself from beginning to end.
I can't wait until book two because the way Rhonda ended one I know it will be another doozy. I have another suspense series that I will stalk and author for that matter until the series is done.
Oh! My! God!! DANGEROUS THERAPY by Rhonda Brewer had me DEVOURING this BOOK in One Sitting!! From the Very Beginning, pulled over for Something that was out of Stephanie's control by Officer O'Conner and trying to help her out after figuring it out what had made him pull her over for. Stephanie and John's Storytelling was Such an Emotional and Inspiring experience for the both of them. Even from the moment they met months before, there was an Chemistry between the two that had them Intrigued. Stephanie being a physical therapist and John being a cop....helps him get back to "himself" but Not before Obstacles get the way and someone after Stephanie. Not going to Spoil anything for you but DEFINITELY a MUST Read BOOK!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I give this 5 stars because it is sweet, sexy, and has jus the right amount of suspense. Nanny Betty is a loveable and funny character. There are plenty of batty grandma characters out there, but this one seemed real as though the writer was inspired by her own. My second favorite part of this book was the romance. What's not to like about the trusted and true trope of care taker/ nurse role falling in love with her handsome patient?
This read was pretty good. It would be lots better with a good edit. This book has a hot cop, a beautiful physical therapist, a cute meet, a bad wreck, a Cupid Aunt, a hilarious Nanny Betty, two great sets of parents, 6 obnoxious but loving brothers, someone who wants our heroine dead, a list of suspects and some hot sexy scenes.
A well written book with interesting characters and relationships from family, friends, and lovers. I will start reading the next book right after I'm done with this review because I'm hooked.
Awesome start to what I think is going to be a great series. Those O'CONNOR brothers are hot. I loved this first one and I am looking forward to the next one. I highly recommend this book. Great read!!
Nice plotline but the content is really simply too much of everything. Too sweet - too over-the-top - too many characters - too cliché – I think the author wanted too much at the same time ….
A steamy read full of romance, suspense and angst. John and Stephanie meet in an unusual way but can't get each other out of their mind. A tragedy brings them back together and their chemistry is off the charts. This was an easy read because there was never a dull moment from the time our two characters meet. If you are looking for steamy, romance, great characters, suspense, angst, twists & turns and a family that will have you LOL then this is the read for you.
A well written book with interesting characters and relationships from family, friends, and lovers. I will start reading the next book right after I'm done with this review because I'm hooked. It is sweet, sexy, and has just the right amount of suspense. Nanny is a lovable and fun loving character. There are plenty of batty grandma characters out there, but this one beats them all, its real as though the writer was inspired by her own experiences in her own life. Romance is always a plus in a book, this had it in a very nice way. A nurse role, falling in love with her handsome patient? You will really enjoy this book.
I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a great book. Rhonda Brewer brings a story home. I loved Dangerous Therapy and look forward to reading more by her.
I absolutely LOVED this book! The storyline was fantastic. I found myself laughing out loud on some of the conversations! John and Stephanie's characters were amazingly written. I've started reading more of the series because I can't seem to get enough of the O'Connor’s!
The author does a wonderful job of drawing you into the story. She has captured true family dynamics and small town living. You will keep turning the pages to see what happens next and fall in love with the story and characters. John and Stephanie's story will enchant you and the author drops hints at the stories to come without any cliffhangers.
2.5 stars - Rhonda Brewer’s book “Dangerous Therapy” has a lot going for it – a charming romantic couple, big, boisterous, very close family on his side, smaller, yet equally close family on her side, an engaging locale (Newfoundland), and a mystery that could probably have been solved a bit earlier in the storyline. The book is more romance with a healthy dose of suspense than romantic suspense. I have no problem with that. And I liked the story. However, the book is in serious need of an editor. There were numerous continuity errors, for example John’s bedroom is initially described as large and then a couple of sentences later it’s small and cozy. Or James is holding a bottle of beer at a bar then a few sentences later he quickly swallows his scotch. Huh? Then there is the punctuation and capitalization problem. Not only was capitalization used incorrectly, it was used inconsistently. Poor punctuation detracted from the flow of the story and I had to reread too many passages to be sure I understand what the author was trying to tell me. I realize that independent publishing is very important to new authors (and more established ones, too), but please hire an independent editor. The potential is there in this book, but a lot more polishing needs to be done. I’ve bought the second book in the series just in case this was a one-off. If I find the same kinds of mistakes, I’ll have to give the rest of Ms. Brewer’s books a pass. There are so many good, well-edited stories out there. I don’t have time to waste on a poorly written one.
This book from the beginning I couldn't put it down. The charters are so amazing you can't help falling in love with them. The whole family are absolutely amazing. I have seven brothers and one sister and I know how overwhelming it can be when everyone is together in one place and they trying to stick their nose where it doesn't belong. Can't wait to read book 2.
I can't believe that this is a debut novel, Rhonda Brewer did a great job of creating a world that is full of action and fun. This is one series that I think will make you want to keep going back to see what is happening. This book is filled with all of the things that make me love reading.
Dangerous Therapy is a romantic suspense novel, but there is lots of fun and romance thrown in to make those pages fly by. I couldn't put it down, their story had me laughing out loud at some points and wanting to scream at others. This story pulled me in and it completely left me wanting more. John and Stephanie meet under some really interesting circumstances and the story just gets better from there.
You won't want to miss this one. Take a chance on an author who I think is going to be a huge hit very soon. Love this book and will be anxiously waiting for book two.
I really liked the set of brothers featured in this story. The setting was unusual since I've never read anything else set in Newfoundland. Though I'm not sure whether it was or not, it read a bit like a first novel. Also the phrase "it was weird" was definitely overused. Otherwise, I liked the story, and the person I thought was the villain ended up good. I enjoy when a story can surprise me. It was a nice suspense, and I will probably read more of this series.
The author for this book is right on. She made these characters come alive from the very first page. The plot was very well written, and made you want to turn the page to find out what was going to happen.Aunt Cora was a brilliant addition, I hope she continues to pop up in other O' Connor brother volumes. As you can tell I loved this book. Good job MS. Brewer. Keep them coming.
I received this book as an ARC for a honest review. This book was read and reviewed by Stacy Aube for Cutting Muse Blog Review.
This book made me fall in love with the whole O'Connor family. I have to say my favorite character was the grandmother. She was hilarious and kept everyone under control. This is the first book in this series and will defiantly not be the last I will read.
I really, really liked this book. It was easy to get caught up in the story of the O'Connor and Kelly families. These are characters you really care about. This well-written romantic suspense story is funny and heartwarming with a great storyline. I am looking forward to reading James and Marina's story.
