Portrays Hanukkah menorahs from all over the world, dating from fourth-century Israel to modern-day America; discusses the history and culture of Hanukkah; and includes songs, prayers, and readings of the holiday.
A brief history of the Hannukiah accompanied by photographs of menorahs, preserved in museums, in various forms all the way from ancient to modern times. The extensive and beautiful selection is followed by the prescriptions for the lighting and the prayers transcribed in English and Hebrew.
The only thing I found odd was that the book claimed that Hannukah is the only feast not mentioned in the Bible, but the author must have meant later, Protestant bibles, as both books of Maccabees exist in the Catholic version.
