February 7, 2012I have been using this book for several years now and I am thrilled. I have found lowering the amount of estrogen I consume has helped in controlling my stage IV endometriosis symptoms.
The recipes in here are delicious! The coconut mushroom is great, and she has plenty of recipes for alternative milks (like rice, almond, and oat). I've tried most of the recipes, and I haven't run into a dud yet.
The book, I guess, is published in Germany. Don't worry, though, the recipes aren't in metric so you don't have to pull out the kitchen scale :) The spelling is european, so it's weird to look at for me, but there's no slang, so you should be able to understand it clearly. Most of the recipes are Thai or Indian related. So if you don't like those kinds of dishes, this probably isn't for you.
Great book! A lot of the recipes can be made ahead and frozen. The recipes were clear and easy to follow. I also found the ingredients in my local grocery store.
I highly recommend this book if you suffer from endometriosis.

I found this book easier to follow than Carolyn's other book. Not only does it tell you what not to eat whilst following the endometriosis diet but it actually tells you what things you can eat and alternatives.
This book also explains why to avoid certain items. The recipies include milk alternatives and how to make them. I enjoyed the hot.drinks section that has various fruit/herbal tea ideas as well as a dairy free hot chocolate (which I shall be trying) I am definitely going to try the pain relief tea which had fresh grated ginger and raspberry leaves. There is also a large section for cold drinks. Each area of food is laid out very well (all soups together, starters etc.) there is also a section for salad dressings and dips.
The final word abut not changing your diet all at once and do it gradually over say 6 weeks is good.
This book is worth a read and although i do not follow the endometriosis diet (I have tried it and did not work for me but everyone is different and I would recommend trying it as it may help you) I shall be trying some of these recipes.
