Though not a wolf herself, Lucy has always been part of the wolf pack. Years after discovering she's a witch, Lucy’s ready to go and find others of her kind. The only way to do that is to leave the only family she has ever known.
Caleb is the Alpha’s son, and one day he'll take over as ruler of the pack. Lucy has always interested and intrigued him, and now that she is planning to leave the pack, he realizes that he cannot allow her to leave. He strikes a bargain with her—he'll give her everything she has ever craved, and in return she stays. Together they explore the attraction between them, and Lucy starts to practice with her magic.
However, strangely, Lucy has the abilities of both a witch and a warlock. When she almost kills one of the pack females, the truth is revealed about who she is, and the danger she poses to everyone. Caleb will do everything in his power to keep Lucy safe. She is his mate, the one female that calls to his wolf, and he refuses to lose her.
When witches and warlocks come to destroy Lucy, she has to make a choice. Is her love for Caleb strong enough to sacrifice herself and her magic? Will she survive when put to the test?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
"The Alpha's Virgin Witch" is the story of Lucy and Caleb.
A sweet love story between the son of an Alpha as well as the town's most powerful witch. Caleb has always watched the shy Lucy from afar, but when her powers decide to come in, and threats on her life mount from her enemies, he decides to finally claim her. They have a sugary courting, and hot sex, only for the evil to intrude on their happiness.. It was a good-ish read, but honestly to me it felt more like a YA erotica than an adult novel. I enjoyed the strength of the heroine, how the hero was always obsessed with her, as well as the sweet ending. That being said, I can never understand when in books the heroes openly sleep with OW while being in lurvee (looking at you Caleb and Guy), and the heroines accepting it. Also I know they are wolves, but the whole parents having sex infront of kids was ew.

I've only read the MC books, so this was a nice departure. It reminds me of K. Cole A Hunger Like No Other. The H and h have a similar relationship. They know they are mates but fight it and fight with each other until it becomes too much to bear. Then they can't keep their hands off each other.
What can I say but I loved this book. It was not what I was expecting, aka no pack group mating in sight. After the last few books, I've read by this author I was concerned about this most of all. The heroine is a witch in training and discovers that her powers come from her birth parents being a witch and a warlock. Being that witches and warlocks normally don't mate, she was the strongest witch and as such the covenant of witches and warlocks were searching to harness her powers for evil. The hero had always been looking out for her since she was a small child. He's tries to protect her from most of the unpleasantness of growing up in a community of wolves being that she was human, or so they thought. Included in their story was her best friend and her mate. Even their story sounded very interesting. This story could've been a standalone. I loved every crazy moment of it and wished it could have been longer. Especially, the struggle between the witches, warlocks, and the heroine. The struggle between good and evil was present in almost all the decisions made by the heroine. This was a well written book with just enough sex talk to keep it spicy but not too much that it overwhelmed the story. Now if only all of his books like this. It's a keeper for me.
It could’ve been great. However, he kept claiming how he always wanted her and was always watching over her yet he screwed most the girls in the pack. This is yet again another playboy wolf and virgin female. It’s not right that the girls in the books have no experience and are pure for their special someone while the guys have banged and discarded every woman they come across. Especially when they know they have a meet in their future. Why would you want to know the body of hundreds of women and ruin that special moment that’s for her? How will she feel knowing that all those women know exactly what you do and like in bed. It takes away the romance and uniqueness of it. And in a pack if he banged women there those women that slept with your guy are always there and always a problem or at least a reminder that they had his body first while he “liked you”. Liked you so much he couldn’t stop screwing the other females in between checking in on you. Then you end up with sloppy remnants of a “mate.” Sorry if this seems like a rant, but this just seems like a pattern in these mate books lately and it’s awful.

I really don't get authors who have "plus sized" or even just "normal sized" heroines (who still get bullied and called "fat") and promote "loving your skin, loving your body" and yet the women on their covers are stick thin & muscular.
The next book in these series is called "Fat Mate" which, to me, is just plain insulting...
Some people are so obsessed with weight & appearances and only hold false claims to be "body positive" authors/readers.
This was a great story. Lucy was amazing from the start. So glad she decided to stand up for herself and her only friend Bianca . I loved the conversation between Lucy and Caleb so playful and flirty. These two were great together and as the story progressed they became even stronger. Another good story from Sam!
This was very...messy. The writing felt disjointed, more like a rough draft than a published work. The dialogue was immature for the characters and the roles they portrayed, and the plot moved too fast for all the crap that was shoved into this short book. The relationship between Caleb and Lucy moved way too quickly for the type of background that was already established for them; the "I love you's" came too soon and they didn't come across as genuine. I think if the plot had been slowed down a little and they actually took the time to get to know each other, the story could have run a little smoother, and their romance would have been more believable. Caleb not being able to scent Lucy as his mate was a HUGE handicap to their romance, and not in a way that's advantageous to the plot.
Caleb was crude in the beginning; his personality in general left a lot to be desired and I didn't think he got much better as the story progressed. I really didn't like the "deal" he made with Lucy in the beginning; it was a little creepy to be coming from this type of Hero. Caleb's felt drawn to and protective of Lucy his whole life, but he was still fucking around with other chicks in the pack. Now you could argue that he didn't feel the "claiming heat" with her, so he didn't pursue her, but he didn't feel it with anyone else, either. While it was sweet that it's later revealed that Caleb was almost always somewhere near Lucy to protect her, I don't like that he kept himself separate from Lucy. Nothing was stopping him from talking to her at least once in a while, and there was no real purpose for his distance.
Now, this is my very personal opinion, but in these shifter books with small towns and small packs, why do the Heroes fuck just about every chick in the pack except the one girl they've had some feelings for? If that girl is so special to them that he "doesn't treat her like the other girls", why is the guy with those other girls in the first place? Yes, hormones and wanting to have sex are strong motivators. But if these guys have some feeling that the one girl is special to them, why aren't they at least friends with that girl? Call me a prude, but I really hate it when the Hero fucks around even though he has one girl in mind. Use those big balls you're always swinging around and do something about it; befriend the heroine or ask her out, so you at least know where you stand with her or if a relationship is even a possiblity between you two. I don't get the appeal of authors writing Heroes in this vein, apart from using it as a plot device to cause drama and jealousy. Also, in these small packs, everyone fucking each other before they get together with their fated mate is kind of gross and not very intelligent. You know your mate is going to be around all the people you fucked; you don't think that's going to be awkward and uncomfortable for everyone?
Back to specifics, Lucy quickly devolved into a woman struck by betrayed-by-her-body syndrome, which is another thing I fucking hate. From the first page, I was thinking that I could like Lucy: she sees that she isn't truly accepted in the pack (except for a select few) but she accepts herself and is looking to find a place where she is actually welcomed. But then Caleb suddenly starts to talk to her and not leave her alone, along with some unsavory advances in the beginning, and she's suddenly hot for him. I didn't like that Caleb suddenly started talking to her just because she wanted to leave, and I didn't like that he used Bianca as leverage to keep her there. I think if it weren't for Bianca and Guy's stupid side-plot, Lucy could have had a clearer mind about leaving. Caleb's sudden romantic interest and sexual proposition dissolves her into a weak heroine who loses her backbone to hormones.
I briefly skimmed the last 20 pages of this. Sam Crescent has all of these books out with such high ratings, but I feel like no one is actually reading them and truly thinking about why they're giving something 5 stars. I keep trying SC's books because the plot lines are very promising, but the books themselves do not deliver. I feel like SC's books are being manufactured without any real feeling to the writing. The depth of emotion that belongs in a romance is almost never there, and the characters are written to sound immature or they're just underdeveloped. I wish that SC would go back to each book and really take the time to flesh-out the story and give the characters real development. I'll keep trying SC's books, but I have a feeling that pretty soon I'll give it up as a bad job.

Lucy has been living among a wolf pack all her life. She isn’t one of them though. She is a witch. She wants to find her coven but that isn’t a great idea. Her wolf parents know the truth and her going back to the coven will cost her her life. Caleb has known Lucy from the beginning. He knows she is his mate and he is going to protector. He isn’t going to let her be taken by any coven.
I do love that Lucy was close to Bianca and always protecting her. She was a true friend. Guy and Caleb were two Alpha Beta that really kept a watch on their mates. I do wish that Caleb would have stood up to Patricia sooner. That girl was a “B.” The pack was solid. The passion that Caleb and Lucy have is so touching at times. I was in shock a few times about Lucy’s fate and what was to happen. Really good story.
I hated that the MMC was still with other women for years before he “decided” to go after the FMC. They were in the mid to late twenties before they got together. The same thing for the side couple. That mate instinct was clearly not that serious in this story.
If you ignore that the story was full of interesting twists on covens and I liked the power battle. The romance itself was very instant but still sweet to read. For a Sam Crescent book it was a bit fuller then some. I wish there was more to the epilogue though. It was kind of short.

Ah goodness! This book is sweet and one of my favourite. Both characters are really sweet to the core. I like the endless effort of H to romancing h to fall in love with him, even though he doesn't have to try so hard; given he's already a sweet-caring-sexy-hunk. I also like the little side story about their friends, though I hope they get their own book. But oh well, a reader can only hope. The ending is a bit unexpected. Although I wished it ended differently, but this choice of ending is actually okay.
Although definitely for the over 18 reader, Crescent has managed to mix in even amounts of romance and suspense to keep readers entertained and involved in the story. Blending in enough humor to keep the story from becoming too dark. Another winner for Sam Crescent.
You know, I really enjoyed this. I think it was the best Sam crescent book I have ever read. We've got love, magic, wolves, warlocks. Dude, this was awesome. I truly enjoyed it!
This one was the best! So good! The plot was Awesome and it flowed so good you can't put it down. The couple is a stubborn pair but the end goes out with a Bang!
