John Sayers is a storm researcher determined to crack the mystery of the violent weather that is ravaging his home state of South Dakota. After a failed test of his new tracking system, he encounters Madeline Kinney, a cult researcher who is pursuing a nefarious "church doctor" through a string of several small Midwestern towns. He dismisses her efforts until she reveals the church doctor may have taken the life of his friend.

As John perfects his system to predict the path of the next tornado, Madeline tries to rescue others from the spreading influence of the church doctor. Together they discover hidden forces at work in the sky and on the ground that culminate in a revival like no other.

Good read

I like books about weatherevents. This did not disappoint. I think the ending was a surprise. I didn't expect it to end that way.

This book is fairly short (126 pages) and easy to read. It is an interesting story about a man who is a storm chaser who meets a woman at a diner. They become friends and she tells him how a cult leader has come into her church and is brainwashing the members, including her mother. She wants to expose him as a bad person but can't do it on her own. The storm chaser, because of his knowledge of weather science, sees something about the pastor that an average person doesn't so he is able to help.

I found it very interesting that the author put together a story plot about two things that I would never think could go together - the science of tornadoes and a cult leader. I liked it.

This is a story of tornados. A story of storm chasers. A story about God. Learned much about storms and the horrific damage they cause. The characters were likeable and presented to cause one to learn more about them. Is a short book but very well presented. Thanks to Goodreads.

I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway. Thank you.
It was interesting, well written, and easy to read. It is about a storm chaser called John, and Madeline a cult researcher, who is concerned about a disturbing pastor who has infiltrated her church. The descriptions of the tornados are fantastic. This book leaves some unanswered questions so I'm assuming there will be a second book. I'm interested to read more by this author.

I was a goodreads winner of Race the Sky. I was fascinated with the storm science. How the researcher probes the storms with scientific instruments that communicate with computers. Anyways, very interesting. The storyline, I was not too interested in. It did not grab me. I think it was well written but not my genre. I liked the fact it was fast paced and moved quickly.
