Alex wishes he had stayed home this summer. He hates camp. He hates the goofy songs. He hates the gross food. But most of all, he hates the creepy campfire stories. Is he the only one who notices that they've been coming true? And will he be able to stop whoever it is before he becomes just another marshmallow on the campfire of life?
Another banger! The opening chapters were genuinely intense and scary. I love when it feels like there is real danger lurking and it's not some cheap cop out. Multiple times throughout this book the main character feels like he is about to die. There's a little bit of everything: nearly falling off a cliff, ghost stories coming to life, an ice ghost, getting attacked by invisible army ants AND Bigfoot. Definitely the scariest of the series I've read so far.
