I’ve been dipping in and out of this book online all year, but then my friend bought me a hard copy. This is a stunning book. Leaning into the traditions of BCP in supplements the traditional readings with alternate versions of many well known texts, from the Lord’s Prayer onwards.

There are also beautiful readings for some of the common prayer liturgies. The Compline “it is night” poem is possibly one of my most favourite of all Compline readings.

I use the NZ BCP with my work colleagues occasionally just to draw new and fresh perspectives on familiar prayer liturgies. I wonder if you might not find it similarly helpful.
