"Billie Sue Mosiman's novels are edge-of-the-seat all the way!" Ed Gorman, award winning author of BAD MOON RISING.

"There are only a handful of authors in the world who can craft true suspense, and Billie Sue Mosiman is one of the best." C. Terry Cline, Jr., author of REAPER

Molly Killany is looking for a new life. She's young...and desperate. She'll do anything to survive. Right now, all she's looking for is a free ride.

Cruise Lavanic loves his car and the freedom of the road. He has no ties and no identity. He travels unnoticed, unsuspected. And he kills for pleasure. It's just that lately his "witnesses" he takes hostage to watch him work aren't fulfilling his needs. Is it possible, after all these years, that his mind is slipping?

Molly sees Cruise at a truck stop. He looks good, he seems friendly. He offers her a ride and now Molly's dream of a new life is about to become a nightmare...

Cruise might have met his match in a sixteen-year-old girl who wants to survive her long journey on the death ride.

Night Cruising is an intense story about a parent's worst nightmare, and Billie Sue Mosiman pulls no punches.

Sixteen year old Molly Killany feels alone in the world. Her mother died when she was born, Dad is a marine, and Molly feels bound by rules and convention. Deciding to take her chances on the road, Molly leaves home and ends up at a truck stop. She is looking for work and decides, if she has to, she will prostitute herself in order to survive.

There she meets Cruise, a seemingly nice man who takes her under his wing. Crusie seems stable, if a bit eccentric and promises to drive her across the country to California. On the trip he tells her endless stories, protects her from dangers and offers her advice. Molly feels safe and in control. Until.....

This book was okay, I liked it enough to finish it. Overall, I personally was not impressed with it. I understand the concept - a child runs away and a horrible event happens. Actually, more than a few horrible events happened. There were only 3 main characters in the book and it takes place over a few days/nights. For me, the ending just didn't work.

This book is not just about a killer, not just about a runaway girl and not just about the father who wants his daughter back. It is so much more. This is a fast paced suspense filled book about fear and a wasted life of a man who could have been so much more if not for the torment he received as a child.

Billie Sue Mosiman takes you through the world of night living for a killer who can not stand the day and the rules set by any man or law. His lives by his own rules and just wants to have a witness along for the ride. One thing about this book is after you read it you will be glad just to be alive.

Billie Sue Mosiman is a premier writer. She writes fearlessly. And the whole while, she is weaving a magic carpet with the threads of fear, suspense and sensitive dread. And she's doing it just for you. Night Cruising turned out to be a personal journey for me, having traveled many of the highways and byways found within this story. You will find the seedy creepiness you do your best to distance yourself from will have its hands all over you.
