When I came across this manga from NWI Comic-Con, I was left in a state of confusion. Why had I not come across this volume before? After reading this volume, I can say that while it doesn't add anything special to the Gundam UC lore worth noting, the overall plot, action, and characterizations are nice. For me, the more adult themes (the use of swearing to show division in military command, themes of companionship versus military regulations, battle lust versus moral code, etc.) helped push Lost War Chronicles into something worth remembering. With that said, this series isn't necessary to buy to understand the UC lore, nor is it easy to complete with the second volume being rare and, therefore, expensive.

The original Gundam series from 0079-0083 had to be my favorite out the long spanning series; those series in particular featured characters and mobile suits that would later serve to be stencils from which numerous other suits and characters and mobile suits would be spawned. Mobile Suit Gundam Lost War Chronicles tries to switch up the equations but doesn't amount to much.
The series had two protagonists that share the same views but are on opposite sides. The jungle warfare is an interesting take on the series that I haven't seen since 8th MS Team and would have been truly great if the characters weren't carbon copies of one another. Both the Zeon and Federation pilot are exactly the same; both strive to use non-lethal combat techniques and both have young female friends that serve as "pupils."
The artwork is better than Gundam Seed however not as detailed as 0079.

This short manga volume is really best suited to Mobile Suit Gundam fans, especially ones from the old school, since it tells stories which surround parts of the original series. As such, if you've never read or seen that, you'll be almost totally lost.
In addition, due to the short length of the volume, there is very little character development even by manga standards. It's just an action story about a warrior who wants to minimize casualties. His logic isn't always sound, but at least he's an interesting character.

rick they battle others in robots for war that all what they do in the book no friends he has one friends.
