I was so happy to be able to read this book. I read the first 2, and loved them. I am not normally a fan of westerns, however these books are so much more. They are about family, protecting your loved ones and righting wrongs. I loved that I got to read about the brothers from the first two books and it was about time that Eliza got her story told. She was a spitfire in the first two books by telling her opinions often and speaking her mind. I liked how her personality played out with her man.
Ramsey was also interesting to read about, in the previous books he was lost and thought dead. The fight for land also continues in this book. Greed will make people do nasty things. I really liked the ending and only hope that this is not a trilogy ad that there will be more books in the series. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review, however all opinions are my own.

Rating of 4 1/2 Stars.
Gallagher’s Choice is primarily Eliza and Ramsey’s story and the author neatly ties up any loose ends from the previous two books. There was lots of action in this book with a surprise or two thrown in for good measure. I think it is a well written story and one that is easy to read. I liked the characters and how they interacted with each other and their community.

While Gallagher’s Choice answered the questions I had from the previous two books, it raised some new questions that I’m hoping means more books about the Gallaghers in the future!

Overall, this was a great story that I really liked. I would definitely recommend this book and series, however I would suggest reading Gallagher’s Pride and Gallagher’s Hope first. I know this series will remain on my bookshelves and will be re-read. I’ve become a huge fan of Ms. McClintock’s work and look forward to her new books.

I couldn't have asked for a better ending to the Gallagher's story. The Gallagher family has warmed my heart, and they have become like a second family. I liked Eliza's strength and her confidence to be a woman who wears pants. Ramsey had the best qualities drawn from all of the other characters. Eliza and Ramsey made the perfect match. I was rooting for their new love to survive the anger and revenge battling in their hearts. Ms. McClintock kept the action stampeding at an all time high in the conclusion of the Gallagher's story. I was on the edge of my seat as more secrets were revealed and the mystery heightened around the Nathan Hunter battle. But Ms. McClintock wraps the story up nicely with a pretty bow.

Another Winning Story

I as a reader have a couple of questions regarding this period piece. I believe that in the 1880’s there was probably a room assigned for washing up however I don’t believe the had indoor plumbing and flush toilets yet. During all of the terrible weather and harsh troubles at Hawks Peak ranch was there talk about trips to an outhouse.

The other thing I questioned is how was Eliza’s trip to Kentucky faster than that of in the previous book the trip of the people who tried to collect Andrew from New Orleans.

The fact that Brenna and Ramsey had an Uncle that was never mentioned by Elizabeth shows the amount of trauma Elizabeth endured at the hands of her husband. Also the story that Elizabeth told Brenna of how Ramsey came to live with her grandfather greatly differed the story that she told Ramsey. Listening to the writers description of the Elder Mr Hunter I believe the second story is plausible.

This was a good series, I look forward to reading more by this author.

This was a decent series

This is not a stand alone book. Although you can put the story togdther...to truly enjoy the series I recommend reading from book 1. The characters continually develop with the storyline. The conclusion of the feud is finally over with. Definately an unusual surprise ending. My negatives about the book are from my imagination with the storyline. Book 2 ended with Isabelle and an inheritance, but nothing was ever metioned again. Gabe and I by never had children.
The Author repeated clues throughout the story, they were confusing. Although discussions and honesty was discussed the Author always said it would be done at a later time. I did enjoy the series, character, and storyline.

Fast and surface level

I’m three books into this series and I feel like all of the characters are surface level characters. I kept reading them hoping they they would develop throughout the series but it hasn’t happened. The books move super fast with relationships but pretty slow with the bad guy plot. I wanted more from all of the relationships. Also, the perspective changes are so frequent that sometimes I don’t know who is talking or whose head we are in.

Excellent Read

I feel as though I am being redundant & I suppose I am about the Montana Gallagher Series. MK McClintock is one of the best writers of this decade. The action including drama, range wars fighting evil, intrigue, love & forgiveness. The Gallagher family especially Eliza is always bring home people who need a family. Great book.

Gallagher Choice

Continuing to learn about the Gallagher family and the rugged life of a ranch in Montana is what I found interesting in this book. While it is a romance it would be interesting to anyone that likes westerns as well.

Gallagher’s Choice brings us for the first time into the perspective of Eliza Gallagher, the rough and tumble female of the Gallagher siblings. She really is no nonsense and does what she feels is right for the family and their friends. She is one that can really take care of herself among the women – she has had to live her whole life out in the hard-scrabble west while the other two ladies (Brenna and Isabelle) grew up in more developed areas. I appreciate the difference between the three women as well.

The battle that has been brewing across the two prior books between the Gallagher’s and Nathan Hunter comes to a head here in some great dramatic moments – even though I thought the end result was a little bit of a let-down.

This time there is a romance that grows between Eliza and Ramsey (this isn’t a spoiler as it is alluded to in the back cover blurb) and it is one that makes sense. Eliza has had to fight in the west and Ramsey is fighting for his very identity – they both have something to prove to themselves.

We are also introduced to a new person that the Gallagher’s help to save – Amanda Warren. We only get a little taste of her character, but there is more to come with her in upcoming books.

I have to admit I was disappointed to see that there was a new narrator for this book. I had absolutely loved Alan Philip Ormand as the narrator of the first 2 books in this series and had looked forward to having him narrate again. So at the time, seeing as I listened to these first 3 books, back to back, I didn’t enjoy the storytelling quite as much because of this. However, with a little bit of time between listening to it and writing the review, I think the intention of having a new and female narrator was to coincide with the perspective change from the Gallagher brothers to that of Eliza Gallagher – and for that reason I commend the choice. So, don’t take my word too much on the audio – the story was awesome!

"Author's Note: I fell in love with the Gallagher family from their first words. The characters are flawed, likable, and yes, sometimes infuriating, but they're real and true to themselves. This is more than just a series - it's a western saga, so some questions won't be answered until the end. The series follows the Gallagher's romance, hope, and revenge over the course of several books - each one offering something new."

I felt it necessary to begin my review with words from the author herself because she so aptly describes the books better than I ever could. The Gallagher's are a saga, one you will love from the very first page of Book 1 through the last page of Book 3, and you will be left wanting so much more.

The Gallagher series takes you from Montana to Scotland and back, from one beautiful country to another. MK McClintock has the ability to weave the details into a story that leave the reader enjoying the friendship of the characters. The covers of the books draw you in, but the story and the people keep you there.

The books are well written, full of the beauty of the countryside as well as the people. The story-lines are intriguing, full of romance and intrigue, and will keep you guessing until the very last page. As the author said, the characters are flawed, likable, and sometimes infuriating and you will love each and every one of them.

I am giving the Gallagher series five stars. You will fast become a fan of MK McClintock.

Gallagher's Choice was a great conclusion to the Gallagher series. While the 2nd book was still my favorite, this one wrapped up the loose ends in a satisfying way. Full of action, this story provided the long awaited resolution to the Hunter/Gallagher feud with surprising twists. Yes, the romance between Ramsey and Eliza was predictable, but the Hunter situation ended up in a way I did not see coming. I love it when an author can surprise me like that!

McClintock managed again to provide a sequel that was not stale or trite. I loved learning more about the characters from the previous 2 books while delving more deeply into Eliza's life. This book was so full of action, that the characters were allowed to more richly develop and endear themselves to me. I ended this series very content, as opposed to some trilogies which left me wishing I had stopped with the first book. McClintock only improves as she goes along!

I received this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Narration - Kathryn Fields -How I hate to say this, but "BO-K" (which I'm calling something between bad and OK)

I'm so sad...I have been absolutely LOVING this series and I can't really speak to the story because I was too distracted by the narration. The first two books were narrated very well and within the first five minutes, I had to stop and Scowl. Because not only was the narrator changed, but she gave Eliza's character a really whiney voice, Brenna no longer had a Brogue and the emotion of the performance was pretty flat. So, was the narrator bad? Or am I just not digging the change? Is this yet another instance of "it's not you, it's me?"

Other than that "Giant Elephant in the Room", I loved this series. I will sit here and hope for a re-record, or the next time I listen to this series, I'll read my kindle version of Book 3. :(

The third book in this series continues and does not disappoint. I couldn't wait to get into this book to see where the family ended up! So many lose ends had to be tied up. I enjoyed getting to know Elizabeth better, a calming presence with her own baggage. Ramsey turns out to be an amazing man, and fits right into the Gallagher bunch. The bond between Ethan, Gabriel and Ramsey created a wonderful sense of warmth and family keeping their women and children safe together and fighting for the ranch.

This one was narrated by Kathryn Fields. I was a little disappointed that the narrator changed, but she did a good job as well. If you are looking to become part of a family, this series is the one to listen to.

In this final book in the Montana Gallagher series, Eliza Gallagher finds Ramsey Hunter and urges him to come home. His grandfather, Nathaniel Hunter, had stolen him from his family as a child in Scotland and raised him in a web of lies that he must now sort out. With the continued harrassment of the Gallaghers and their land by an unknown assailant, all evidence points to Nathaniel Hunter. But it's a mysterious Comanche that may hold all the answers. Throughout, Ramsey and Eliza fight their growing feelings for one another, but in the end can find no other happiness unless it's together. A heartwarming ending to this epic family saga!

I received my copy from Goodreads.com Without reading the previous two novels, I began somewhat lost. Why did Eliza have to go after Ramsey? Why did Ramsey feel he had to become a sheriff? What was the problem with Hunter? The questions were eventually answered and the book stood well on its own, though I would have liked to have gotten to know the characters a bit better. This novel was easy-to-read, interesting and flowed well.
I would rate the book a 4.5.

Good story, again. But, now there is too much repetition of why they can or cannot do this or that. It felt too much like the author was stuck. She needed more action. Still good and clean!
