This book is packed with all sorts of poems and rhymes including a sequence of number rhymes, action rhymes, noisy rhymes and more thought provoking pieces too. Some of my favourites included: “Crazy Mayonnaisy Mum” a singsong type poem, with lots of humour and rhythm, great to read aloud as a class, and “Name the Day” illustrating how God named the days of the week.

A nice books with funny poems. I was a little surprised when my girl had decided to borrow this book, but it was a good introduction to reading poems. They are short and funny, also good for practicing pronunciation and rhythm. The illustrations are a nice addition. At first, daughter was reluctant, then she enjoyed this book very much.

Fun to read aloud!

These rhymes for children are so much fun to read aloud. Alliteration and repeating rhythms are made for saying out loud. Some of the poems have a story element and others are just pure nonsense.
