Book 2 in the Faith Series

Faith Iris Daniels or Daniels for short, had a shot at a real home life. Ahead in school, out of foster care and moved to a new town she thought she could start over, but when the past catches up with her and the feeling of being unwanted surfaces she does the only thing she feels she does best. She runs.
Making the decision to go back to her hometown before anyone could send her there themselves, she realizes that she had made a big mistake.

****

I felt groggy as fingers tightened on mine. "Daniels, please baby, wake up." A rough voice whispered. I opened my eyes to midnight blue ones. They were red and puffy as if he had been crying.

He swept back my hair and let out a relief chuckle when he saw that my eyes had opened. "It's about time you woke up, baby." He leaned over to kiss my forehead and my lips.

I pulled back confused. I took my hand from his and leaned away.

His brows dipped. "Daniels?"

I was scared. "Who are you?”

I liked this second installment in the Faith Series. It was fast paced and I did end up finishing it in one sitting. While I did enjoy this book, it still wasn't everything I wanted.
In every book I read, I want to be interested in the plot and connected to the characters. I want the author to describe the situation and the scene clearly so I can visualize it and be able to connect.
With this series, it feels like Nikki Bolvair knows where she wants the story to go and is trying to rush through the book to get to the good parts. There isn't a lot of details in the scenes and the plot is moving so fast that I barely have a chance to connect with it or the characters.
I will admit that the author has gotten a lot better since the first book. She just hasn't gotten where I need her to be to rate the book higher. While I am interested in the story, I am having a hard time connecting with the characters and their relationships.
I love reverse-harem stories and because they are so fictional and unconventional, there are certain things that have to be present for the story to make sense. For one, the author has to make the male character's feelings about the relationship and the other male characters seem real. In this series, I feel like something is missing when it comes to this. I find it really hard to believe that the McGuire brothers just decided based on a kiss or two that they are ready for this kind of relationship. It doesn't feel real to me and there is a disconnect.
Overall, I like this series. It does need some work, but I am not ready to give up on it quite yet. I wish that the author would slow the plot down and make the books longer. I feel like the books would be so much better if she did that. I will be reading the next installment and I hope that Nikki Bolvair continues to improve the story like she did with this book.

Title: Brokenly Found
Series: Faith, #2
Author: Nikki Bolvair
Rating: 4.5 Stars
“Because it's not about sex. It's not about lust. It's about you.”

The first book was good but too short to fully form an opinion and Brokenly Found was definitely what I expected. It was longer, fast paced and action packed. I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting.

The story picks up where the first book ended - Daniels is running away on a bus after overhearing Brady and Sarah. I really enjoyed how the author focused more on Daniels and the McGuire boys' relationship in this book.
“I want to hold hands, steal kisses from you and keep you safely tucked between my brothers and me. I want you, Faith Daniels. We want you.”

Short but sweet

I can't help but fall in love with Faith and her boys. The characters are developing well and I'm curious where their story will lead. Great series for RH fans!

Rushed possible spoiler in review

I don't usually leave reviews but I have left a review on both the 1st and now this book. I read the first book because it was free and someone suggested it. I put a review about 1 of the characters called Tucker who was mentioned in he first book and it was said he could possibly make trouble for the MC but then after 1 brief mention he wasn't mentioned again in the rest of book 1. Now onto Tucker is not mentioned again until halfway through book 2 it just seems the book is all over the place. Jumping from 1 thing to another.

Didn’t realize these were short, episodic books. Nothing wrong with that. Just a real quick read.
Daniels wakes up in the hospital after having run away. It seems like her past is catching up to her. Luckily she’s emotionally mature enough to talk things out. But what’s with this guy Tucker who has it out for Tyler.
Like this one as well. I love it when characters talk through their problems together.

Good stuff

Great read so far. A few more typos than the previous book, only noticeable because they were sort of glaringly obvious. Like "rouge" instead of " rogue", etc. But they weren't bad enough to distract me from this mediumish -burn RH with an interesting cliffhanger.

On to book 3! =)

This was worse than the first book, with the writing of the romance. They are calling each other boyfriend/girlfriend very quickly. The beginning started out exciting, but that bus crash and amnesia storyline was over in like one chapter. What was the point of that? They are super short books so I'll probably check out the rest.

Would have been...

More stars but I don't like cliffhanger endings. The start of a poly relationship is an interesting premise. But for that cliffhanger killing it. I'll never know how it ends.

So good!

I’m normally into more of a paranormal genre but this series was recommended and I’m so glad I gave it a chance! I gave it a four star because I prefer more of a suspenseful story line but this is still a great read.

These books go so quickly, I’m one to love a quick read, but you don’t even get into the story before it’s over. Frustrating. These characters and plots could be sooooooo good, but instead you just get snippets and glimpses into them. Kinda a bummer. On to the next I guess

I still think this is just a teenage angst book but I'm already drawn in so I am following along checking it out. I will probably finish the series. I'd recommend this to young teenagers. Or no not Young maybe 17 18 year olds.

Interesting

This story was interesting. It had a little drama, a little romance and a little bit of action. It was a fun read.

I have gotten very into reading Reverse Harem novels lately. It's super hard to find decent ones that don't just read like fan fiction. This series is really good though. Both the characters and the story are fully fleshed out and well written. I'm enjoying becoming invested in this world and pleased that I discovered this author.

If you haven't read book one yet, don't read this review. There is a little bit of a spoiler, too!

Faith has run away from the Brady's and from the the McGuire boys. She takes a greyhound bus to get away, which ends up crashing-next thing she knows, she's in the hospital.. and doesn't remember the boys or her move with Brady. Not too long after everything comes back to her and the secret that she was afraid would tear her from the McGuire's comes out. Daniels starts to really feel like she has a family and her relationship with all 3 boys starts to take off. She finally meets Tucker.

There really wasn't a lot that happened in this book other than in the beginning. It was more focused on her relationship with Brady and with the McGuire boys. I really like how Brady is becoming a father to her-it warms my heart!

Brokenly Found begins right after the first book ends. Daniels is running from the things she's learned, but she never imagined getting into an accident trying to get away, but that's what happens. Now, she's having problems remembering things, and she's unsure how to proceed with the information she learned, and with her guys.

But, they won't let her give up and run, and her foster parents won't let her run either. She must now stand up for what she knows and believes before it is too late.

This book was really good! I enjoyed it a lot more than the first one, and I was super excited about the progress that was made between Daniels and her guys.
The plot line also hooked me and wouldn't let me go until the end.

However, the only downside was the ending, and the fact that I must wait to read the next book! I'm super excited to read it though.

Book 2 starts up right where book 1 ended. Daniels ran from Brady, Sarah and the McGuire brothers, wrongly thinking it was better to run than to wait for them to throw her out. She can withstand the pain of leaving them, but not losing them not of her own choice. Her bus crashes leaving her badly banged up with no memory of the last few months. It is nice to see that Brady and the boys truly care for her.

Luckily the amnesia doesn't last throughout the entire book and Daniels comes clean with the reason she ran. I appreciated that the characters actually communicated and misunderstandings weren't allowed to fester. I also liked Daniels growing closeness with the boys and the introduction of Tucker into her life. Again the book is more a novella and we are left hanging for book 3.

Faith and the McGuire boys are making great strides in getting to know each other and creating a relationship until that is, a misunderstanding and an unearthed connection sends Faith running. An accident leaves Faith with no memories of the last three months, or the McGuire boys. Tyler, Kayden, and Lincoln are heartbroken but determined to get back to where they all were, starting with “dates” (unfortunately things don’t go as planned). Love the storyline here! With each chapter more and more comes to light about that night and how there are so many connections between the characters. Speaking of the characters, they are so personable, vulnerable and yet so strong at the same time you can’t help falling for them!

Truth be told, I love reverse harem; it's my guilty pleasure. So I'm obviously going to read anything fitting that description. But this was hard to get through.

For it being such a short book, it sure is slow. Maybe it's just the writing style that I hate, but man was it rough. And all the errors; I can handle some bad grammer here or there, but when you start mixing the boys names up... Well lets just say I'm not to happy.

You may be wondering why I'd even bother reading the second book in this series when the first was just as bad... Well I guess that's just my wishful thinking, to bad this time my wishing didn't get me anywhere. Sad day.

I really loved how the story just picked up from book 1. Daniels is in the hospital after surviving the bus crash. She comes away badly bruised banged up and no memory. Everyone wants to know why she ran. Now she has to keep a secret from everyone especially The McGuire's. She wonders if the boys will still like her.
This book got pretty intense. You really feel for Faith and all she has gone through. This child deserves love. I can't wait to see how the boys take over her Liv

Daniels ran from her new family and the McGuire boys, wrongly thinking it was better to run back to her old life than to wait for them to discard her. A Bus crash leavers her with no memory of her new life or the boys but slowly her memories return. We also get to meet the elusive Tucker.

This is quite a slow paced read and again quite short. I am enjoying the flowering parental relationship between Daniels and Brady. And there was another cliffie!!!

These are more like novellas than books, which I think is a bit unfair to the reader. I was just getting into it and it was over. And someone really needs to help Ms. Bolvair edit her books. I can overlook the occasional mistake, but I have trouble with authors who spell their characters' names inconsistently. That's just sloppy.
