Murder on the Midnight Plane was one of the first Usborne Mysteries I ever read (along with Escape from Blood Castle). I really enjoy the logic problems like figuring out the seating on the plane, hilarious punny characters/suspects, and entertaining art.

I first read these as a child, and have memories of picking them up off the shelves at the library. I now have a collection of these books so I finished them up over this winter break.

Some of these puzzles are still quite challenging! As a child, the oddball characters, detailed illustrations and the mysteries themselves held more interest than the puzzles, as I remember getting stuck quite often on those. But some of the images have stuck in my mind for 30 years and were immediately familiar upon reading this again. I love the cast of characters with their pun-tastic names and the whole thing is really quite clever. I will look forward to passing it down to my son when he is old enough.

Great book, loved this series of books as a kid and even more fun to do with my son, who now loves them as much as I do. Shame they are not in print now, but managed to track some down on Ebay. Takes ages to figure out some of the clues.
