All three beloved Johnny Lion books are back Whether he is reveling in the adventures of his first book, finding a cure for the rainy day blues, or experiencing all the misery -- and coziness -- of a bad, bad cold, Johnny Lion is a delight. First introduced in 1956, Johnny Lion now has a new four-color look as certain to charm readers now as then.

This was one of my favorite books when I was a wee one. I think it was the artistry, there is something about the way in which it was drawn that captured my attention. This book is a must for me to purchase and I hope my soon to arrive little girl will love it as much as I did. I think this is a great book for kindergarten and younger as it is a fun and easy plot line to follow.

I got this book for Nana for Christmas a few years ago, because it was one of her favorite books as a kid. She used to check it out from the library over and over.

Tonight, she got to share it with Jack. They laid on the floor in his room and read it, with Jack snacking and occasionally checking out to play with his table. But he listened for most of the book. He liked roaring like a lion and especially loved the red boots and the splashing in puddles, one of his favorite activities.

A hit with my 4 year old. Not the most captivating story, but predictable in a way that allowed my daughter to feel that she was figuring out the story.
