NANCY DREW DIARIES GN VOL 08

In "Tiger Counter," Nancy Drew and her friends Bess and George, have volunteered at the River Heights Animal Protection Center, never dreaming that they might soon need protection from the animals. But that's what happens when a truck delivering circus tigers breaks down by the woods, and the big cats escape. Nancy and her friends were nearby responding to a call from Mrs. Eartha when suddenly they're swept up in the deadly mystery of the missing tigers. In "What Goes Up..." Nancy Drew gets caught up - literally - with a crook with a million dollars in stolen cash when he escapes in Nancy's hot air balloon - except he doesn't want Nancy along for the ride.

This was a quick read with more adventurous themes of tigers escaping and a thief stealing a hot air balloon. It is amazing how everyone in Nancy's life just goes along with her running into danger or getting involved when told not to.

Definitely more appealing to kids as you really have to suspend disbelief for both stories. Good graphics. Nice that Police Chief McGinnis is still keeping River Heights safe with Nancy’s help after nearly 85 years!

It was different to read Nancy Drew through the use of a graphic novel but it was still an enjoyable read.
