On Halloween the night is full of strange creatures: witches, vampires, ghosts – and dragons. In their seventh adventure Eddie and Emily take their uncle's pet dragons trick or treating. But the dragons have quite the sweet tooth, and it's not long before things go ghoulishly wrong...

When Eddie Smith-Pickle and his friend Emily need a new computer, Eddie sends an email to Uncle Morton asking to borrow his dragons. They already have fancy dress costumes, but they aren't good enough to enter the Fancy Dress Competition at the Halloween Parade. Eddie needs the two dragons to help the parade go with a bang, and his uncle does send them
As the economic climate is bad, Eddie's mum says she can't afford a new computer, so Eddie will have to hope everything goes to plan and they win. Emily still plans to go as a ghost, but Eddie has changed his mind about going as Frankenstein; he's going as an Egyptian mummy instead.
The Dragonsitter: Trick or Treat? is laid out as a series of emails from Eddie to his uncle, each one full of fun, humour and at times anticipation. The fun really starts when Ziggy and Arthur come to stay for a while week. His uncle can't be there to see them as he's preparing his trip to see Bigfoot. The fun in question comes from Ziggy and Arthur concerning the disappearance of a certain engagement ring.
There are a lot of Dragonsitter novels, so imagine all the adventures Eddie and Emily will go on one email at a time.
When Eddie requests that his Uncle Morton send his dragons to help them win a Halloween costume contest to get a new computer, Uncle Morton sends them along with Gordon. But when Gordon proposes to Eddie's mother, Arthur eats the ring, Eddie's mom won't let them go to the contest until it... you know.
Another great installment in the Dragonsitter series! Eddie and his Uncle Morton continue to send emails back and forth, as Eddie and his family try to deal with a failing computer, an upcoming Halloween contest, and a surprise visitor. What kind of mischief will the dragons get into this time?
