Rate this book

Striking into the Eye of Terror like the spear of Russ himself, the Space Wolves crew of the warship Reiodi bring to heel a thrice-cursed traitor from the days of the Horus Heresy. Read it because

Hot damn!
As some of you probably know, Lucius the Eternal is one of my all time favourite characters from the Horus Heresy/40k, and man was it good to read about him again!
The story was very well done, from describing the horrific scale of Chaos to the kickass "in your face" action of our Super Human warriors. I think this is the first time you actually get to see Lucius be "Eternal" in Black Library fiction, and man was it awesome. I feel like they might be setting up some possible plot points concerning who exactly he will become in the future, and I really can't wait for that.
It also seemed to me that this might be leading into either another set of short stories, or possibly something even more! I'd honestly be ok with more short stories or a novella or something, but oh man a Lucius the Eternal novel? That is something I have literally dreamed about.
Anyways, Lucius was done extremely well, I didn't like his duel opponent for 1 thing, mainly because it just felt wrong to me, but it was a very small part of the story. I also really didn't expect(in a solidly neutral way) the route the Space Wolves went, but I don't want to spoil any parts of this Glorious story!
Oh and 10 stars for the cultist. Shit was awesome!

A really good short story if you’re interested in how Lucius works and the process of which he comes back eternally

Yeah this was ok, not bad, but I always thought the process was slower, not quite the sudden way it happened in the story

For the third story in Black Library’s 2015 Advent Calendar the action returns to the 40K universe with Ian St. Martin’s In Wolves’ Clothing, in which a pack of Space Wolves finally track down Lucius the Eternal on a daemon world deep in the Eye of Terror. Battling twisted cultists and the constantly shifting surface of the planet itself to bring Lucius to heel at last, pack leader Hrothgar leads his Wolves to a famous victory, but at what cost to their souls? Fans of 40K will know what happens next when Lucius meets his match…
