WOW! Book 2 is just as powerful as book one and it will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions, some not as joyous. We get to read more of Claire and Tobias story. They fall further in love. Claire is finally at peace and is making a new life but just when things look on the upside for her, their new life is threatened by an enemy from the not so distant past. The semi cliffhanger ending had me crying out for more. The book was over yet I need more now! This was so good, the emotions, the action and the conflict all flowed together to create a perfect energy . Claire and Tobias’s chemistry is STILL as hot as ever. I cannot wait for book 3, for this is a great storyline, wayyy better than a soap opera.

Please note --A brand-new, extended edition of The Midwest Alphas Trilogy was written by the author which she added nearly 10,000 new words.
My rating: 4.7 stars ****

Unbroken by Tabatha Kiss is book 2 in The Midwest Alphas Series. It's action packed, well written, with drama, suspense, secrets, revenge, a twist, mystery, and so much more. Looking forwarding to reading book 3, Undying.

Just as you believe there is a HEA ahead, Tabatha in her usual style throws a spanner in the tale and once again has us hooked to the story and eager to see how Claire and Tobias struggle with the consequences of their actions and threats from the past.

I love the dynamic between Claire and Tobias and both have grown since we originally met them in book one, Untouched. Claire is finding herself while Tobias is concerned what he has to offer her is simply not enough. Decisions made have been tough and they are about to get tougher for these two as they fight to trust, to love and to protect one another.

Tabatha has allowed her readers to begin this book almost as a standalone but, to be honest, I would highly recommend you read this series in order...I can't wait to see what happens with the conclusion of this series as I know the challenges ahead are about to put the love these two share to a gripping conclusion.

This was a great action packed continuation of Claire and Tobias, this is all about Claire trying to become an Alpha Dame, which is the leader or the one in charge of getting fighters to fight in the underground MMA circuit. Tobias is the Alpha meaning he was the overall winner, but has decided to give up fighting and be Claire's bodyguard.
One of the new and popular fighters happens to be Rick the Unbreakable, yep Claire's stepbrother that tried to have Tobias killed. He's good, really good and he wants Claire back.
A lot happens in this book, lots of fighting and and secrets about how the fighting got started. I will say that the author totally fooled me into thinking that people can change, and then its like nevermind I see, you are sneaky, and Rick is still a $$ck with issues . I really liked watching how much Claire has grown up and her relationship with Tobias was so hot. Tobias can be my Alpha anytime.
I happily read this ARC to share my thoughts.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...

Oh man! Now this book was something else, there is so much going I don't even know where to begin.

Unbroken takes place a year after Untouched and we are back with our Alpha and his Dame. I actually felt a connection to these characters and started to enjoy being in their heads even if I wanted to slap them all the time. Tobias assumes Claire will never be happy with him not fighting and does something irreversible. His quick actions leads to more then anyone had bargained for and the past actions of other come to light.

I enjoyed this book so much more than the first, yes there were moments of "come on, that's enough already" but it flowed so well that it made the book more interesting. I can't wait to see what happens next for our Alpha and his Dame.

I loved revisiting Claire and Tobias’ world again after reading their previous story without Tobias’ POV. I just loved getting inside his head and seeing his way of things around him. This book had a few more steamy scenes between Tobias and Claire this time around, which were hot. I loved them together and their interactions and I loved how much Claire and Tobias grow even more and have found their way together. It’s hard to not love Tobias still, he has been such a great character throughout the first two books in this trilogy. Unfortunately I wasn’t such a big fan of Claire’s in this story, she was a bit up and down for me. Although I thought she did come into her own more throughout the book, she did annoy me a little bit.
It was very enjoyable and well written that I had a hard time putting the book down

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book given to me by the author. The second book in the trilogy is good, enough to keep me reading, but I definitely liked the first book better. This one is a slow starter, almost a bit boring in the beginning where Claire is trying to learn to be a Dame. But once you reach a certain point - then all heck breaks loose in the story! Tobias is NOT awesome in this, but an @ss IMO for what he does regarding Claire, & Claire has picked up a bit of blood lust for the fighting that I find a bit disconcerting. I really liked them both better in the end of book 1 than I do in book 2. This book also has quite a bit of mystery/drama as well as a bit more of a cliff hanger than book 1. Hopefully book 3 improves my opinion of Tobias & Claire.

4.5 ⭐

Unbroken is book 2 in this series and takes place about a year after Untouched. Tabatha Kiss developed her characters and with this book I really fell in love with them.

Claire now has found a new task and friends and she's madly in love with Tobias. Tobias is a little bit unsure if he's worth (and yes, he is, but he's not convinced, yet, like me 😉), if he can give Claire what she needs and deserves. And then they have to fight together against a demon from their past.

For me book 2 is more thrilling and sexy than book 1. We already know the characters, their habits, their dreams and fears and now the story goes in a direction I never expected. Unpredictable, thrilling, well written, sexy and romantic.

The story of Claire & Tobias continues with the same intensity and excitement. Puzzle pieces of the darkness from the past are revealed. Shockingly, the scope of the deception is vast, covering many years with deep roots of greed and self interest. Indeed, it is a small world. The danger has increased and personal dreams are put on hold. Once caught up in the tale, this reader could not put it down. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.

This story is even more thrilling than the first part of this series.
It kept me on my toes til the final page and I had to read it in one go!
It is almost unbelievable how much Claire and Tobias have to go through to hold on their pure and passionate love.
This is the very worthy sequel to the first book in the series.
I really enjoyed reading it!

This is the second book in this awesome trilogy, and the course of true love never runs smoothly. This story is filled with mystery, action, drama, twists, and an emotional rollercoaster journey. Hats off to Tabitha for writing such a gritty and powerful storyline. I love these books, and Claire and Tobias. Looking forward to #3. Awesome work Tabitha!!

I received this for an honest review. This makes the second book I have read of Tabatha Kiss. WOW, this is a great series. If you love MMA fighters, bad boys, or even a little taboo story you will love this one. Yes I would call it a little taboo because Claire and Tobias are step-cousins. Freaking hot..LOL

Anyway, Claire Holloway finds herself an Alpha Dame for the Midwest Alphas. She is nervous but loving every minute of it. She finds she has to prove herself at every turn. Of course Tobias agrees to be her bodyguard. There is no way he will let her face this danger alone.

Tobias and Claire’s love has grown. The two of them have come so far and still have far to go. They are having to learn about trust and what it takes to make a relationship work. There seems to be road blocks along the way.

The slim ball Rick makes his appears again in this book. He has become one of the fighters for the Midwest Alpha’s. Claire does everything she can to let Lillian the head of the Alphas know what kind of man he is. Lillian just does not seem to listen or even care.

It appears it is going to come down to Rick and Tobias fighting. Rick still wants Claire and will do at anything to have her. Can Tobias keep her safe?

Claire’s mother is in trouble. Claire’s heartbreaks for what her mother is going through. I love the growth we have seen in Claire. She sees now that her mother was doing what was best for her to keep her safe and now Claire what to help her mother. Can Claire save her mother?

This was a great story and I cannot wait to see what happens in book 3.

This sequel lives up expectations and begins nearly a year later. Tobias is the reigning Alpha and Claire is the newest Dame recruit. Amy is teaching Claire how to find fighters and Tobias is along for the ride at every turn - looking out for Claire's best interest and offering protection when needed. As fight season begins, Rick's moved close to town and reappears out of nowhere to draw the retired Alpha (Tobias) back into the ring. There is a lot more action in this book, and we already know all of the major players involved - they all make at least an appearance. I wasn't expecting such a roller coaster of fast paces action and emotion, but I reveled in it. As "the sins of their fathers" so to speak (or is it stepfathers?) begin to rear their heads, we get insight into a lot of skeletons and how so many characters are interconnected. I was as surprised as both Claire and Tobias at many of the revelations. I was thrilled with the addition of Tobias's POV throughout the book. I always enjoy getting into their headspace and this was done well by Tabatha. The book kind of ends in a WTF moment, but there is more yet to come so I won't hold it against Tabatha...this time. LOL! This is a great series to immerse yourself in. I recommend it.

In this second part of the trilogy, Claire is now an Alpha Dame & training to run a district of the Midwest Alphas. Tobias won the Alpha tournament but hung up his hat, deciding he was done with the cage fights; he wants no more fighting so now he is Claire’s bodyguard. They thought everything was happy and well until dangers from their past come back in the picture. Now Tobias is back into the fighting, just to ensure that Claire doesn't end up back with her step-brother Rick.
The suspense just continues to build from the first part of the book trilogy and mounts even more. This book also ends on a cliff-hanger and leaves you hungry for the ending of the story. This is a series/trilogy that you definitely need to read in order to ensure you can follow the whole story; this book picks up very shortly after the first one left off so if you have not read Untouched then you will be missing a big part of the story. The taboo aspect of a step-family romance is still there, of course - so if you can get into that then you will enjoy this second part of the series. Once again, Tabatha Kiss grabs the reader’s attention & once you start the book you won’t be able to get through it quick enough, just trying to get to the end.

Wow. This book is explosive. Continuing the series from midwest alphas book 1. We stay following Claire and her decision in becoming an alpha dam.

when i first starting reading number 2 i through their cant be any think that interesting. But i was soo wrong. Rick is back and is now competing in the torment. His aim is to win Claire back and defeat Tabios. But problems arise through out the book affecting both Claire and Tabios.

A deal made for who ever wins the alpha tournaments gets Claire as a prize. But if Tabios wins then rick leaves and never comes back. Sounds simple until the double ex kings start to surface and take over the alphas terriory.

Old rivals, deals being made, Revenge and past problems start to arise through out book 2. Including pike making an offer. This story is explosive and hooking. With the twist and conspiracy within in, it keeps you hanging on the each word said. What you see and what you hear isn't allows the truth. Some lies and secrets go far back and can't be changed.

Loved this series and can not wait to start the finale book in the midwest alphas.

Unbroken is Book 2 in Tabatha Kiss's Midwest Alpha MMA series.

We continue from where book 1 left off and follow Claire's introduction to the Alpha Dames. With Tobias officially out of the sport, it is up to Claire to carve out a name for herself and show everyone, herself included, that she belongs there.

Tobias stays close as Claire's bodyguard, but even that can not save her when Rock returns to claim what is his.... Claire!

Just like book 1, Unbroken is so entertaining and action packed from the beginning.
The story doesn't slow or faulter as we are taken on a ride through more trials and tribulations that Claire, Tobias, Amy and Charlie find themselves in.
We seem to get more acquainted with rick and his motives all which set up book 3.
We are also introduced to the Alphas biggest rival on the underground MMA circuit, the Double X Kings.
Many revelations are made and experienced with the main characters as well as the periphery characters.
This is a very worthy addition to the series.

My only negative is the authors overuse of the word 'thick' Crops up everywhere.

Unbroken is the second installment of The Midwest Alpha Trilogy.
This story picks up one year after Tobias’ alpha match and we find our hero and heroine still very much in love and together.
Claire has decided to become a Dame and while Tobias would rather she didn’t, he shoes his support for finding her own way in the world by being her protector and self-proclaimed bodyguard. Claire spends much of time shadowing her best friend Amy to learn the rope of the business. Tobias has given up his fighting ways now that his sister has passed. He’s happy to have Claire for as long as he can, but fears that he won’t be enough for her in the long run.
When Rick come back into the picture Tobias has no choice to fight. For the title, for himself but most of all he’s fighting to Claire.
Unbroken is a wild ride filled with action, violence and a love so hot it will burn you. I’m hooked on the Midwest Alpha’s and I can’t wait to see how the story ends.

A Dangerous Game

When it seems Tobias and Claire are on the track to a fresh start, ghosts from the past decide to test them again. The couple quickly realize they have been tricked into playing a dangerous game, and they have no other choice but to play. They don't know all the players or who to trust. Everything isn't as it appears, and secrets from the past reveal betrayal and deceit. As the game progresses we learn more about the history of the Eastwood family, as well as, the history of the Midwest Alphas.

I liked the continuation, but I had a hard time liking Claire this time around. She was incredibly selfish; all the conflict happening and she makes about her. Also, she didn't believe in Tobias. She was so confident in Rick he abusive ex, but not the young man she claims to love.

The cliffhanger is bigger this time around, and you have to continuing reading in order to get an ending. I definitely feel it's worth it to keep reading.

Genre: Romance - Suspense, MMA
Stand-alone: Not really - This story ends but leads in to book 3
Part of a Series: Yes - Book 2 of the Midwest Alphas Trilogy
POV: Mostly Claire, some Tobias
Steam-level: Hot
5/5

Unbroken starts about a year after Untouched finishes. If you haven't read book 1 (Untouched) I highly recommend doing so prior to reading Unbroken but if you choose not to Tabatha Kiss does an excellent job catching the reader up with the events of book 1. Unbroken is just as gritty and violent as the Untouched and then some. Unbroken also raises the steam level between Claire and Tobias. Unbroken features both new and old enemies and left me wondering what was going to happen. There were parts where I had to put the book down in order to diminish the tension that it built throughout. Tabatha Kiss is an excellent writer and this series showcases her talent. I cannot wait to dive in to book 3.

It has been almost a year since Tobias won the Midwest underground MMA tournament to become the Alpha. He and Claire are still together and she has now become a Dame, in charge of helping to run the tournament with Amy. Tobias has not fought all year, however when he realises that his cousin Rick has come to fight, he enacts an old blood oath rule and challenges Rick to a duel.

He loses his Alpha status to Rick and must now fight his way to the top again. Things get a little tense from here on out as secrets agendas are abound and no one knows who can be trusted. Why is Pike training Rick? Why are the Kings hanging around? How does head Dame Lillian know his father? Fear not as all your questions will be answered and there is still a great cliffhanger leading into the final novel. Can't wait to see how it all ends. I recieved an ARC for my honest review.

Alrighty- book #2 in the fast-paced whirlwind MMA adventure Claire and Tobias are working things out, now that she has turned 18 Tobias isn't holding back when it comes to her, or the Alphas, or is he? She is starting her life over fresh; he is too, do they both want they same things now? When push comes to shove is Tobias going to be the man Claire believes him to be? Small towns are known for hiding big things; this one may be larger than any of them saw coming.
Wow, this one had me all over the place, I was swirling with questions, and lots frustration, so many things are happening in this one twists and turns galore-I am moving onto book three right away because now I need to know how this clustery mess turns out! Gah!
