One night in a moment of sheer madness I confessed my secrets to him. All my life I’ve been pretending. Pretending to be the woman I thought I should be instead of the woman I really am. I’ve been faking it and I am good. No one has ever guessed. Except him. He just looked at me and knew.

Chad Fellows is not the man I want, but he’s fast becoming the man I need.

One night in a moment of sheer madness I held her in my arms and let her cry. I did the right thing, letting her walk away, no matter how much she calls to the part of me that wants to rescue her. We are nothing alike, and she’s a mess of complications in a life I’m trying to keep simple. But then I touched her and made her tremble and now I can’t turn away.

Jennifer Dawson is the author of the popular Something New series, spicy, small town romance released with Kensington, and pens the dark and edgy contemporary romance series Undone.

Jennifer Dawson grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and graduated from DePaul University with a degree in psychology. She met her husband at the public library while they were studying. To this day she still maintains she was NOT checking him out. Now, over twenty years later, they’re married and living in a suburb right outside of Chicago with two awesome kids and a crazy dog.

Despite going through a light FM, poem writing phase in high school, Jennifer never grew up wanting to be a writer (she had more practical aspirations of being an international super spy). Then one day, suffering from boredom and disgruntled with a book she’d been reading, she decided to put pen to paper. The rest, as they say, is history.

These days Jennifer can be found sitting behind her computer, writing her next novel, chasing after her kids, keeping an ever watchful eye on her ever growing to-do list, and NOT checking out her husband.

So, this is the FIRST time that I've ever said this, so brace yourself: If I could rate this a 6, I totally would. I absolutely loved Chad and Ruby's story. They had this one moment out of time that changed the dynamic of their previously platonic relationship. This snippet allowed Ruby to see that there was more to Chad that she ever could have envisioned before. Slowly the spark that ignited built itself up until they couldn't resist the flame and each other. The relationship develops in an absolutely breathtaking way. The tender way Chad pushes beyond her subconscious walls is like a work of art. You can tell that the writer put a lot of thought into every little detail and nuance of the character traits and the hard work paid off because I was completely captivated. The characters are dynamic and unique. The personalities and prose, mature and honest. I was legitimately blown away by the experience of this book. That is exactly what it feels like, an experience. I didn't just read it. I felt it. The sensuality of this book is off the flipping charts but it's not just the sex. It's the intimacy. The little details that make me believe that what these people are building is genuine and honest love. I wouldn't recommend you start this until you have a good block of time to finish it because the waiting feels like torture. If it's not on your TBR you need to add it. If it's on your TBR it needs to move up in your queue. Seriously :) I really hope you guys pick up this little gem because I want to gush about the IT dude that wears khakis. It sounds outrageous but let me tell you Chad will reach places in you that you didn't know you had :-p LOVE doesn't begin to describe this book for me. It's going into my favorites. Safety: They do see other people after their initial "moment" but to be fair, Chad followed up the day after and Ruby didn't want to pursue. Nothing sexual was done with these other people. Once the decision was made to see where the connection led, no other ppl entered the picture. Neither were virgins. Condoms until they decided not to. No rape/abuse/sharing.

ARC received and a ENJOYED thoroughly for an honest review :)

What can i say for this series??? I'm freakin' loving them!!!

I loved the first book very much... Michael was my dreamy man!!!
I liked the second book, but it wasn't like the first one for me...
And then came Chad and Ruby and they turned my world upside down!!!!

Who could thought that preppy Chad would be like that??? Ugh???
I loved this book very much and i can't wait to see if we will have another one story about Brandon this time!!!
Pretty please, Jennifer???

I'm dying for his turn!!!

We met Ruby and Chad in the previous books...
Ruby is Layla's best friend and Chad had a failed date with Layla before Michael...
Now, Chad is really good friend with Layla and Michael, Leo and Jillian and of course, Ruby...
In the novel "Unraveled", the six of them had join Brandon's club in Valentine's day and there everything changed...

Layla wanted Ruby to go with them because she was sensing her curiosity about the dominating thing and she wanted to make her see and accept it...
Chad, even though you couldn't guess it with the first glance, he was in the same scenery...

So, those two came closer and Ruby revealed her secret to Chad and then their ways got seperated...

Now, two months after that night, Ruby and Chad will meet again in Layla and Michael's engagement party and for once again everything will change...

They both had persuaded themselves that they didn't care for the other and it was almost true, since they were opposites in every aspect.
Ruby will never date a guy like Chad...
And Ruby wasn't Chad's type at all...
After all, he had so little time to devote to a person who needs so much attention...
But with this reunion, they can't deny anymore that there is a huge attraction between them!!!

"He's the first person I look for as I walk into the crowded room.
I don't want it to be true, but it is.
Chad Fellows. The cute, nice guy I'd deemed harmless and not my type when I first met him has turned into my biggest nightmare. And he's still not my type. At all.
I just can't stop thinking about him."
{Ruby}

"Persuing Ruby will take work. Effort. Patience. And for what? We are not really compatible. We live different lives and have different goals.
But Christ, I want to see her come. Want to be the one to make it happen for her.
Of course, the one thing we do have in common she won't even acknowledge."
{Chad}

So what will happen from there???
Will Ruby and Chad give a chance to what they are feeling to grow up and to become something real???

And if they come really close, will Chad have the patience to unlock Ruby's fears???
Will Ruby accept Chad's dominant nature or will she run away from him???
Will Chad suppress what he wants for Ruby's sake???

Well, i loved those characters very much...
Ruby was a simple girl with a simple life.

She adored music and the bad boys, rockstars were her type, even though that a relationship with those guys wasn't working for her, at the end. She was thirty years old and she was living like she was still in college...
She was a unique person with lots of fears and she was so unsure of herself...
Chad wasn't anything like she wanted...

"I want him. More than I've wanted anyone ever. I've been infatuated over guys, angsty, giddy and longing, but this desire is new. Demanding. It terrifies me, because I know the truth. Which is bad enough, but he knows the truth too, which is worse.
I can't deliver on all this heat and tension between us."

Chad was like the American golden boy... Handsome, cute, gentle, with a really good work and with preppy style. But Chad wasn't just that!!!
He was such a surprise!!!
Chad was a dominant male in bed and he was anything like his outside image...

At this point of his life, he didn't need perplexions... He didn't have the time for that...
But Ruby did something to him and he wanted to discover where this attraction could lead them...
The only problem was Ruby's fears and her denial of what she really was...

"Christ. What am I going to do with her?
Well, I have plenty ideas, but I'm going to need to take my time. But I can't deny she's doing something to me. Something more than sex and desire. Something more than my need to help her. Something I haven't felt in a long time, maybe not ever."

Ruby and Chad together were so hot...
Their chemistry was so big and the air around them were so fogged with hot steam...

Yes, they had lots of things to deal and to work out... but the sexual tension between them was something that you couldn't ignore...
Chad had to suppress his insticts in order to help Ruby and Ruby was denying to acknowledge the truth that was underlying before her own eyes!!!
I really liked the way that Ruby was changing while she were with Chad...

And Chad! OMG! Who could thought that he would manage to come really close to the place that i have Michael!!! He was so sweet, so caring, so thoughtful toward Ruby and i loved him for that...
He was a gentleman in public and an animal in bed. Hell yes!!!

"For the first time in my life I feel authentic. Every time I admit that I'm scared, or insecure, I gain a tiny bit of freedom." {Ruby}

"People underestimate the truth. Underestimate how hard it is to be brave and speak it, even when they are scared. That Ruby does this with me so quickly, and so fucking completely, is one of the most gorgeous thigs I've ever seen.
She has no idea how rare it is. Or how strong and powerfull it makes me feel that she's chosen me as the person to tell her secrets. Dominance and submission is not about rules and orders and scenes, but this, right here, is submission.
Laying yourself bare and trusting the other person won't break you.
And I will not break Ruby."
{Chad}

For once again, i would like to say that i really liked the rest of the gang and i must confess that even though i'm not so much in those kind of books, Mrs. Dawson had made me a huge fan of this series with her wonderful writing style.

This is an erotic romance, hot and steamy, but it's also so much more...
The men are dominants and the women submissives, but it's nothing like the usual kind of stories... The things here are more soft and more enjoyable... They can made you hot and bothered but in a good way!!!

If you like spicy books, this is a series that you have to try!!!

Sensational read ! Jennifer Dawson held me captive from start to finish and I literally devoured this story in a matter of hours.

Debauched is the third full-length novel in the Undone series. It can be read as a standalone but I would recommend you to read before Unraveled book # 2.5 which is a bridge to book 3. In Unraveled we get to see the beginning of Ruby and Chad's story. On Valentine’s night Ruby (Layla’s best friend from Crave) is invited along with Chad Fellows by their group of friends at a sex party at one of Chicago’s most anticipated new clubs. Rapidely Ruby starts questionning her feelings. Chad awakens a submissive side that she refuses to even contemplate and that she never even considered existed. She wants nothing to do with being dominated. A D/s relationship is a treat she doesn't like but somehow can't stop being fascinated by.

Debauched takes place two months after Valentine's night. Since that night Ruby hasn't be able to stop thinking about Chad. Invited as a maid of honnor at her best friend's engagement party she brought a date with her to give Chad the illusion she has forgotten all about what happened between them that night. Night when she drunkenly confessed to him little secrets she'd never planned on sharing with anyone.

Ruby's a Minister's daughter and growing up in a world where men are kings colors her perception of domination. She also has a complicated relationship with sex that in her mind, bordered on dysfonctional. She thinks that she's defective when it comes to her pleasure. Until Chad comes into her life. Nothing could have prepared Ruby for the ride Chad took her on.

Chad is so AMAZING! He’s a sexy, smart and intuitive man and underestimate him is a BIG mistake. He's obessessing about Ruby since their last encounter. At that time when Ruby confessed, he was in a comforting mood but not anymore. He wants her and he's coming after her. Chad started something with her and there is no stopping him. He wants to push her, break down all her walls and barriers. He's a man on a mission.

How I loved them together !! They are nothing alike. The two of them couldn't have been any more different. Yet, you know what they say about opposites… explosive chemistry and emotional connexion, MAJOR fireworks here ! The sexual tension and build up was pure perfection. The characters have a lot of depth and I enjoyed the hell out of this story. It's intense, raw, heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time.

If you want to experience a beautifully well-written, captivating and highly addictive story this book is for you. On a side note I really hope to see Brandon get his own book. :))

I started the Undone series at book two and while I liked it I think this one is my new favorite. Normally I read books in order just to get to know the characters and while this could be read as a standalone I highly recommend starting the series from the beginning or at least with the novella before starting this book.

Chad and Ruby's story starts on Valentine's Day in Unraveled. They are both invited to Brandon's club with a group of friends and that's where the changes start for them. Ruby reveals a secret to Chad and they go their separate ways.

This story begins about two months later and neither one of them have forgotten each other or that night. They meet again at Layla and Michael's engagement party and things tend to get a bit steamy but that's only the beginning for this couple.

These two say a few times that they don't care for the other but when they are together they are combustible! I really liked Ruby's character and how she was curious but didn't want to loose herself that she thought her mother did. I also liked how much patience Chad had with bringing her into this world.

Chad's character was a bit of a surprise. He comes off as a preppy good American boy but underneath all that he dominant and oh man some of the things he says super hot!

I don't tend to read a lot of this genre but Dawson has a way with words and writing her characters strong but yet adventuress. I could see the changes in Ruby as she grew closer to Chad and the more she tried the more she loved. I also thought the conflict within herself well was written and made it more real.

Already I am hoping Brandon will get a book because let's face it he just sounds hotter then hot! This series is hot and spicy with HEA that will make you swoon!

I don't like Chad, but I do like the way he cares for Ruby. Ruby's issue is all in her head, and it sure does take a while for that to change. Love seeing the previous couples again.

Debauched is the third installment of the Undone series and i have to say the author once again created a wonderful story, generally the series have become an addiction. In this part we have Chad's and Ruby's story, both characters are very lovable especially Chad i liked his dominant, possessive personality for me it's captivating as a reader i kind of felt he was commanding me and not the heroine so yeah his character was really persuasive.

Ruby is the woman who haven't accept her true nature, her sexuality is locked somewhere in her mind but fortunately for us Chad has the key to unlock her. This whole journey was very enjoyable and fascinating from the beginning till the end, it was very interesting seeing Ruby's development surely her story shows us that nothing is impossible but you have to work really hard to gain it with the right ways.

The explicit dialogues and the hot sex scenes were the highlights of the story, also the appearance of the characters from previous books is one the things that i always love seeing in series because you can see what is going next in their lives also they make the background more familiar and interesting.

Coffee Dates with Debauched:

First Date: I was excited to begin this first date after the interaction between Ruby and Chad in Unraveled (Undone, #2.5).  We first met Chad in Crave (Undone, #1). He was a blind date Layla met and things did not work out, but they became friends. I did not see Chad as dominant if fact he seemed like a straight-laced IT guy. I have always liked Ruby, Layla’s best friend. She is edgy, unique and very much the polar opposite of Layla. These two are attracted to each other and both are thinking about the last time they were together. Their first encounter in Debauched was humorous and incredibly hot as the banter, denial, and stolen kisses had me slipping into their story.
Second Date: Ruby has been unsatisfied for a long time, and her idea of the perfect man is not really doing it for her. She thinks Chad is all wrong and while she finds herself jealous of Layla and Michael’s relationship, she really is not seeing herself in a Dom/Sub relationship. Chad wants Ruby and knows he can satisfy her but wonders if he is ready for a committed relationship. Once these two decide to explore a relationship Dawson begins a slow-building courtship filled with banter, tender moments, exploration, and delicious heat. One of the things that sets Dawson apart it her insight into the characters and they way in which she allows them to grow and explore.
Third Date: Character growth, self-discovery and trust must be conquered as their relationship develops. The angst was low-key and I enjoyed seeing Ruby come into her own and find happiness from within. Ruby and Chad have a beautiful connection and I enjoyed their conversations, quiet moments, and discoveries. The sexual tension was incredibly hot from teasing to late night phone calls. When Chad and Ruby finally connect the air sizzles as Dawson turns up the heat. It was erotic, incredibly sexy and beautiful. Debauched wrapped up beautifully and I liked the updates on our previous couples and moments spent interacting with them. Chad and Ruby left me smiling as our date ended.

Like many of you I stared reading again (and I say "again" because this actually began at very early age when I discovered my mothers secret stash of Sandra Brown novels) and loving romance and erotica thanks to a certain BDSM book *cough* FSOG *cough* but even if I've read my fare share of BDSM books, lately I haven't been in the mood for them. Truth be told I've grown kind of bored with the whole Master/Sir-chain-Saint Andrew's Cross stuff and honestly I've been avoiding reading them.

Until now...until Jennifer Dawson made me remember what BDSM is actually all about and more then that, she made me understand exactly what's going on in the head of the characters and how the whole dominant/submissive relationship functions, past all the props and rituals...and because I'm far from having a submissive personality (even if a enjoy sometimes being tied down and called a slut as much as the next girl) the truth is that in bed I love to call the shots and maybe (until now) I never fully understood what it was all about.

description

But through the story of Ruby (a woman that doesn't consider herself a submissive and more then that...refuses to see what's right in front of her) and Chad (a guy that at first sight you wouldn't peg at being a dominant) I got to experience a raw and very realistic story of finding and accepting yourself.

description

Their story actually begins in Unraveled but that's just the first taste...this is the main course and the desert ;)

description

I totally recommend this book even if you're not into BDSM books because besides the very good writing it has a very realistic story to tell...

First person, Dual-POV, HAE. Can be read as standalone.

Still very impressed with this series so far. I realize I'm kinda working backwards, but the more I read about this group's dynamic, the more it convinces me to pick up another in the series. I was excited for this one. Preppy IT guy with a dominant streak, and a black-wearing rocker chick? Sign me up.

He is both angel and devil. Good and evil. Saint and sinner.

Ruby makes her living as an ad graphic designer, as well as designs on the side and sings in local clubs. She has a 'type': man-child rocker guys, but once she's introduced to Chad, a mutual friend of the group she hangs out with, and reveals a very intimate secret with him one drunken night, she can't seem to stop thinking about him. He's the exact opposite of what she'd go for - khakis and a steady job? Unheard of in her harem of boyfriends. Her secret? She's never had a successful orgasm with a man. Ever.

Once Chad hears Ruby's heartfelt confession, he can't get her off his mind either. Though the signs are there, he's not inclined to believe that she'd be submissive. And that's the only type of woman he goes for. But once he starts to peel back her layers, being ever so patient with her and her ever active mind, he reveals Ruby to be not only the perfect submissive but possibly his partner in all things.

They both seem to have found the yin to their yang. These books are a lot of sexual exploration on the heroine's side, and a whole lot of dominance in the heroes. Yummy reads, all so far.

'Til next time cuties ;)!

E-ARC received thanks to the author.

MY GOD. I've probably reread this like 3-4 times after I finished it the first time. I never thought I'd say this, because I'm a hardcore Michael Banks fangirl, but Chad Fellows just might be my favourite alpha male..........sorry Michael, I still love you very much tho.

ok so where do I start?

the main reason why I love this so much is the characters. I'm already very much intrigued with Chad the first time we met him with Layla, and that feeling escalated when we got him in Unraveled.

and this book is just basically me swooning over him, tbh.

 photo tumblr_n026j6GMqi1qg2judo1_250.gif

in a way, I'm thankful that this story is told in dual POV because we get to see how hard it is for Chad to be in charge. Ruby is in so much denial over her true nature so it's pretty challenging for him to handle that, and I love the way he handled Ruby's insecurities and in a way guided her into accepting the submissive part of herself. Also; my Ruby girl, I adore her so much, flaws and all. I totally get her reservations regarding The Life, as she put it, and I love how her perception evolved once she got together with Chad.

Overall, I rooted for this couple and I'm so glad they got their HEA.

*crosses fingers for Cameron Fellows' book* I NEED MORE OF HIM OK ONE SCENE IS NOT ENOUGH

4 stars. I am a big fan of this series and Jennifer Dawson. This book was no exception and I really enjoyed it! This Ruby and Chad's story. Ruby is Layla's best friend, from Crave, and Chad is a man that Layla tried to date one time when she was still mourning over her ex-fiance who died. Chad became a good friend to Layla and Michael so he is in their group of friends now. Often Layla, Michael, Jillian (Michael's sister) and Leo (from Sinful hangout as a group with Ruby and Chad included. Ruby is a free spirit. She dates bad boy musicians and she doesn't want to grow up. Chad is clean cut and a computer programmer. They are not each other's type at all and have never really considered each other as potential relationship material. But Ruby finds herself jealous of Layla's relationship when she gets engaged. Ruby doesn't understand their D/s lifestyle. She is curious but scared to see what the fuss is all about. On Valentine's day, the group of friends, including Chad, go to Brandon's BDSM club and Ruby is shocked at everything but Chad can see she is scared so he keeps company when the couples go off to play. He is intrigued by her curiosity and begins to see her in a new light. They have a conversation about the lifestyle. Ruby is shocked to learn that the guy she thought was conservative and stuffy is a dom. Chad is surprised when he finds out that part of the reason Ruby doesn't get the appeal of BDSM is that she has never had an orgasm (given by someone besides herself). Their conversation is cut short though, when they are interrupted, and they don't see each other again until Layla and Michael's engagement party six weeks later. They have both been unable to stop from thinking about each other and can't keep apart at the party. Once they get their hands on each other, Chad wants to help Ruby with her orgasm problem and she is more than willing to explore a relationship with Chad. They find they have more in common than they thought. Chad helps Ruby get over her past hangups over her religious upbringing and learn to let go. He is very patient as they slowly work up to getting her comfortable enough with him to get out of her head. It is really sweet how he helps her along the way as they fall in love. Chad finds that Ruby is submissive and that they are having a D/s power exchange, but Ruby does not know that their relationship is like that, even though she knows Chad is dominant. She still doesn't understand what the lifestyle is all about. It is up to Chad to show her who she really is and help her to see all that their relationship can be together.

I really liked both Ruby and Chad. I enjoyed watching Ruby's "coming into her own" and facing her relationship hangups so she could be in real, mature relationship. She was a great mixture of innocence and unsureness and it was really nice watching her find herself and blossom with Chad's help. Chad was so sweet and patient with her. Their sexy times were hot too.

I wish there had been an epilogue because I felt like the conflict wrapped up to close to the end of the book so I needed more resolution. But it didn't hamper my enjoyment of the book at all. I just wanted more of Ruby and Chad once they became the couple they were meant to be. Hopefully there'll be glimpses of them in future books. I did enjoy catching up with Jillian and Leo and Layla and Michael too.

I read a lot of BDSM romance books and I really like Jennifer Dawson's version of the lifestyle best. Her couples seem to have so much fun and it's not all heavy and depressing. I really like this series and I hope there is more to come!

I think the last time I read such a believable transformation for a character in that genre of books was when I read the Liliana Batchelor series by Holly Blackstone (https://www.goodreads.com/series/1031...).

Debauched (Undone #3) by Jennifer Dawson was a surprising book. It was not my first by this author but I admit I did not read all of the books in this series. Which is no big deal as far as the understanding of the plotline of this book goes. It is only a personal loss because If you do not read the whole series you are missing out on great books.

I think if I say “ I could feel the story developing “ that might be a tricky sentence if I am -like in this case – talking about a romance featuring subjects of dominance and submission.

But it is also the truth – because the author really lets the reader feel the journey of what I would call “self discovery”

I liked that the story is told from both perspectives – so we get to hear both sides along the journey. For me that was a welcome change because thinking about it – I can not remember ever reading a novel in that genre from both view points.

We get to know Ruby with all her doubts and how she blossoms ( I avoid the word CHANGE and all cost) when she is together with chad. How she questions herself but also instinctively does what she is “expected” to do. It was actually kind of funny watching her growing understanding for the situation and yet trying to avoid giving the whole development a label.

Chad is such an interesting character. He is first introduced as the total visual contradiction of what he is supposed to present. But he also further develops during the story even if only in the eyes of Ruby. He is so dominant but not unreasonable - not like most of those dominant males you encounter lately in the book world. The reader gets to understand his thoughts and how his actions work out with Ruby.

But the reader also encounters moments of insecurity, struggle and (dare I say it) a kind of fear – when he realizes what is already obvious to the reader.

Great story – can not wait for the next book by this author

Please note that I received a copy of this review in exchange for my honest review. It in no way affected my opinion of the book. Also, not that I have not read the first two books in this series. I didn't not feel that it affected my understanding of this book. However, I will be going back to read the first two when I find the time.
I loved this book! The only issue I had with it was that I found the female main character confusing from time to time. But really I think that was because the character was confused and didn’t know what she wanted. In the end it all worked out.

What I really liked was that we were on the journey into kinky sex with Ruby. A lot of books in this genre jump in with a character who has already been a part of this world and things are explained as you go along. Ruby was not part of the D/s world when we’re first introduced to her. She has friends who are part of that world. So we learn along with her. However, she wants no part of this world and does everything to avoid it. But then she meets Chad who is part of that world and she can’t stop thinking about him.

Chad is definitely a swoon-worthy guy! He thinks he can help Ruby. (I so want to put more here, but that gives away part of the plot-line.) He goes about helping her in a gentlemanly way without her really realizing he’s helping her.

Ruby is a little lost as far as life goals and is pretending to her friends to have her stuff together. Chad sees right through this and breaks down her walls. I like that as she relinquished control of her sex life to Chad she gained control of her personal/business desires and began to get her life together.

I tend to do a lot of my reading on my lunch break while at work. When I started reading this book, I purposely did not read it at work. However, there came a point in the book where I just had to keep reading and so I broke it out on my lunch break. I may have even continued to read it after my lunch was over just to finish the book - wink wink.

If you like this genre of books, you definitely need to give this book a shot!

'Debauched' tells the story of a woman named Ruby and Chad. They believe there is nothing in common between each other; however, with the progression of the story they start seeing it's not quite like that, and so do we. I'm quite an advocate that one doesn't need someone to come save them, but sometimes we need a little push to realise who we are and why things are not working so well in our lives. That's what Chad does, he contributed to Ruby's happiness in such a way that made me see him, and certain situations - not entirely related to this book - in a new light. The characters are indeed well developed; they have tons of chemistry and the most important - they make you love them! One of the most important things for me is to have relatable characters and the author did just that.
Another aspect that really gripped me was the psychological part of the story, it's quite interesting how Mrs. Dawson broached the topic. I regret I can't tell more without ruining the experience of reading this book. If someone reads the synopsis and decides not to read it, it will be a loss. I had no intention of reading it because it didn't sound griping enough, but when I actually had an opportunity to read it, it was just amazing. My recomendation: Go in blind, read the book without reading the synopsis because it doesn't make the book justice. The book is pretty amazing and to see everything unraveling (in a good way) is just fantastic!

"She thinks it won’t work, but I know better. She’s at a disadvantage, because I know how she’s wired a thousand times better than she does. I’ll use the power only for good. To empower her, and allow her to become the woman she’s meant to be, and not the woman she’s pretending she is."

And here I thought Michael from Crave was the hottest Dom to walk in the fictional world! Chad literally leaves Michael in the dust with his Alpha attitude and I couldn't be more in love with him if I tried!

Gifted copy for honest review.

I loved this one. This is a story about Chad and Ruby. The story and character were great. Ruby has issues and one night she gets drunk and tells Chad her secret. Chad calls the next day to make sure is okay. However, he can't get her out of his mind. If anyone can help Ruby it will be Chad.

What an awesome book. The sexual tension between Chad and Ruby was off the charts. When they finally got together it was like fireworks on the 4th of July! They are so perfect for each other, they compliment one another.

Disclaimer: I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Debauched is the third book (or fourth, if you count the Unraveled novella) in the Undone series by Jennifer Dawson. My reviews for the previous books aren't on my blog, as they were on the previous incarnation of Whimsical Nature, but you can find them here:

1) Crave   2) Sinful   2.5) Unraveled

This series is admittedly not what I would consider my tastes. It's borderline erotica (I'm hesitant to call it erotica outright, because I'm sure there's more full on ones out there haha), there's BDSM elements - dominance and submission, and the plot is the romance.

And I love it. All of it!

Dawson creates such great characters in the world of these novels, and Debauched is no different. We've already met Ruby and Chad in Unraveled and this is a continuation of their story which delves deeper into their lives - characters from the other instalments pop up of course, and it was nice to see them all again.

Ruby has convinced herself that Chad is all wrong for her; and she most certainly doesn't want to buy into the dom/sub scene, but her friends relationships with their partners cannot help but pique her interest. Ruby starts out uncertain, and Chad is sure he knows just want she needs, but isn't convinced a relationship is a good idea. They're not sure if they can make it work; or if they even want to make it work.

Chad is patient and sweet with Ruby (I think he might actually be my favourite), while she had mildly irritating moments because she had an image in her head of how she was meant to be, and just couldn't figure out that wasn't her at all. They are actually kind of adorable together, and the wilder side of their relationship is just...it's hot, I'm not sure how else to put it, keep a cool drink on hand

Debauched is told in first person with dual points of view, and it works really well (as it has in the previous books). It feels like you get the whole picture and get to know both characters. I don't think it would be as effective if it was told any other way.

The writing is excellent and there is something addictive about it for me. Each time I've read one of these books I've had an awful lot of trouble putting it down to go and do things I need to; and I often stay up late reading them.

I'm actually thinking about re-reading them all, and I hardly ever do that!

I definitely recommend this series if you're a fan of steamy romance with a bit of kink.

THIS IS HOW BDSM SHOULD BE REPRESENTED

Good Lord, I am so put off by 50 Shades-esque bdsm books. Seeing a book tagged bdsm is more likely to make be cringe and back away slowly. But THIS?! It's like my faith in kinky books is restored. Oh my God. Praise be.

Dominant guy who *isn't* domineering, finally. He doesn't lord his power over her, doesn't act like he's all that & a bag of chips, he's not full of himself and doesn't get off on his own power dynamic. (I mean he does, that's sort of the point, but he's not a DICK about out). He's honestly so sweet, and so romantic in many ways, and his specific and gentle approach to BDSM and Controlling Consent is A++ On Point, you sir you get a gold star for the day. I want a day with Chad irl. These other bdsm doms would TERRIFY me in real life, but Chad? I'd *love* to be under his gentle, patient, understanding, powerful shadow.

MFC was lovely as well, it was nice to see someone who wasn't crazy submissive who quivers when he so much as calls her name. She was a perfect blend of defiant and sub that came across so realistically that I SWEAR SHE'S ME!!! I think that's what I liked most about this book, is how well I was able to self-insert into this character. Reading her going through these things he asked of her (like, "I know you're going to touch yourself tonight. Call me after you come thinking about me" or even "I want you to play with your tits; you don't have to admit to me if you do or not. But I want you to do it." omggggg~) felt so damn real because I had every nervous, uncertain, timid little hesitation SHE had, and seeing her fight through them and do as she was asked and feel so relieved at being under his control, it just~~~omg it was so so so well done, okay, just take my word for it!!

I'll stop rambling now. Great book, great characters, amazing sex, SUPER-AMAZING teases and unique kinky moments that I've never seen anywhere else or even THOUGHT OF.

My only gripe: it didn't make sense to me why mfc was so *against* the very idea of "Yes, I am a submissive woman and you are my dominant partner". I don't understand why she was so vehemently against that notion? When she was clearly acting out that very thing the whole book...? But I think that was just me not quite getting it, and it didn't get in the way of the story at all, so no harm done!!

Grade A content.
10/10 recommend.

I didn’t like this and idk why like I enjoy a little bdsm and I liked both the characters individually. But like as I was reading I wasn’t rlly rooting for them to be together. I think a lot of that is bc this book has a trope that I’ve never liked which is when a girl who either doesn’t like submitting/ isn’t into that or a girl who’s like completely innocent to that world and usually sex in general. I just don’t enjoy it like I don’t think the naive girl makes it hot and it usually just pisses me off. In this book it just irked me like ofc girl can’t cum with a partner which like okay pretty normal, however she can do it by herself so like our main character Chad (which the name come on, like I can’t imagine moaning Chad) is like yo I could make u cum. Like he was nicer abt it but that’s the gist which ehhh already not something I’m into. But then it’s like he a dom and she says she’s not a sub but ofcwe have these magic cues that he and these other dominants see which i just don’t like. I think it comes from I think a woman should be able to say like yo I’m not into that and that’s the end of convo. Like I imagine myself saying yeah I’m not into that and some dude going well yk there’s signs that we see like ru kidding. I also hate the way everything ends up so neatly fixed. Idk I’m gonna stop complaining cuz it’s mostly stuff that are just things u don’t enjoy however Ik a lot of ppl would enjoy these types of books.

The PERFECT book!

I love romance books mixed with eroticism.. and to find one with:
The perfect guy and girl, the perfect chemistry, and the perfect storyline is an achievement!!

I love the Author's writing style to bits! This book is one of my all time favourites ❣️

Even with the BDSM aspect its light-hearted because the characters are so well written. It doesn't feel dark like other BDSM novels. I feel like these characters could be friends of mine they're so relatable, so fun and sparkly.

It does touch on feelings of inadequacy, which I adore. It made me think about the times I doubted myself as a woman and all that entails.

Sometimes comparison is the thief of joy, but love and sensuality reign supreme here! The sexy scenes are sooo enticing🔥🚒

Absolutely loved this book! Chad is the ultimate book boyfriend with a deliciously dirty mouth. The heat is off the charts, but it doesn't steal the spotlight from the emotional connection the characters share. Love the way Chad patiently coaxed Ruby to accept who she is. Ruby could be a bit oblivious at times and quite stubborn, but she is the perfect counterpart to Chad. Not too angsty without any significant OM or OW drama. Some light BDSM. Overall, definitely recommend!

Ok, what is up with the men in this seriessss. They are soo caring, supportive, mature and overall INCREDIBLE.
Chad was no different and he had my heart melting every few minutes.

He was so freaking patient and understanding with Ruby and their story was really something very nice to read.

The only thing is that it felt too short for me, AND that is entirely my fault for not reading the previous books in the series.

Obviously, I didn’t know that the very beginning of their story actually started in another book of the series, so I unfortunately missed that. That wasn’t a problem to understand everything in the story from the beginning of THIS BOOK though. But many times while I read the book, I wished I would have read the other ones to be honest🥲.

It was an amazing book nonetheless. I absolutely loved Ruby and Chad REALLYYY🥰🥰

No my type of thing?

Omg. I think Chad and Ruby's story is my favorite of the series so far. I honestly don't know how Jennifer Dawson does it, but she is an amazing writer. Their story was one you could totally see yourself in. I just loved both characters and their own struggles. Damn, its a hot love story. Its a must read!

I really enjoyed the story of Chad and Ruby. Ruby was cool and feisty and Chad was thoughtful and mysterious. I thought they were a good combo. I liked all the thought behind the growing power dynamic and how Ruby didn’t think she was into Chad and his world when in fact, she was perfect. I do love a story with self discovery and character development. I’m off to read the others!

Chad and Ruby are the best

I reread this book every year, it will always be one of my favorites! Chad is just the man in real life you actually want! Smart, sexy, sweet and intelligent and the best Dom, while being able to talk absolute filth! Seeing Ruby really come into her own without really changing who she is was so fun!

Ruby & Chad’s story is by far the best in the series. Chad was adorable but hot as hell in the bedroom.
He was the asking kinda of Dom outside of the bedroom vs demanding like the other guys which made him so much more likable.

This was really good. Very hot scenes. For me personally, I am not a fan of this type of a relationship, however, writing was excellent. This was a book that I thought about when I wasn’t reading it, and I couldn’t wait to get back to it. Very good!
