Being a super hero isn't all it's cracked up to be

Have you ever wondered what it was like to be a super hero?
I'm JW, and I no longer have to ask myself that question...because, you see, I am one. And I'll tell you, it's not all it's cracked up to be. Sure you have super powers and all that jazz. But when you actually have to use them...it can get pretty scary.

This was a pretty interesting little story. I think I picked it up for free one time. It was a cute little story, but there wasn't much character development, so it felt pretty average to me.

This was definitely an exciting read, about an interesting character who isn't thrilled with his super powers. He is very relatable. The only downside for me about this book is that it's so short. It would have been nice to see more interaction between him and his family.

Kindle Unlimited, cute without being cutesy, appreciate that. Have a bunch of his sets keyed up on my ku to read right now. Check his amazon for full list, but read through Trip of a Lifetime, Farty Marty and Other Stories, The Disgusting and Heartwarming Collection: A Collection of Funny and Inspirational Short Stories for Kids, Do Not Feed the Zombies and Other Stories, Collection with multiple Coby Collins, Zack and Zebo, Grade School Super Hero, and Scab and Beads, then another Collection with The Jungle, Coby Collins, Zack and Zebo, Grade School Super Hero: The Complete Trilogy -- the collection are multiple books each with multiple stories in each is doesn't say just one name, and each collection can be bought separately or in various collected sets of various numbers {2 pack of multiple stories, 3 pack, 4 pack, etcetera}

What is the real title of this book? It promises to be all things to all readers. I would classify it as an introductory chapter book for beginning readers, mostly in the seven to nine age group. The fact that it consists of just twenty pages will turn off most middle grade readers. The plot centers on little Johnny Williams or JW. One day he accidentally discovers that he has the power to jump high over a baseman. His teachers and schoolmates encourage him to do it again. The next time as he tries to jump, Johnny winds up on the roof. A few days later when an asteroid is hurling toward earth, JW decides he must push his powers to the limit and attempt to fly up into outer space in an effort to divert its path and save the planet from disaster. Will Johnny be successful? How does it feel to have superpowers?

The author offers free copies of his other short stories as an added incentive to read this book. Children who enjoy superhero or adventure stories will enjoy this story.

The inner sixth grader in all of us wants to be cool or at least accepted by everyone. But most of us don't really want to STAND OUT from the crowd. Delightful tale of imagination somewhat grounded in reality.
