Wow I was disappointed in this book. I loved this first one and was thrilled when I heard this book would be coming out. I ended up not liking either main character and thought the book dragged. I get needing to go over ever thing that took place in the first book but if I read one more time how lonely she was or how he realized he was neglecting her one more time I think I might of tossed my Kindle out the window of my second floor apartment!! Even with that being said I will be buying the next book and more than likely the rest of the books that Ms. Folsom writes.
I was doubly surprised when it came to this book. First, I didn't expect this book and a third one, so having to read a development in their fast track relationship and knowing wedding bell about them would be soon, and definitely an HEA was unexpected because I was satisfied with book 1 ending. But it was a great pleasure to read the next big step since they decided to be living together after only a month hence to that Sabrina moving in the big city leaving especially her friend and no job. It was also great that the author didn't put their relationship on the test in every corner just mentioned and the characters were all aware off that Daniel worked a lot and knew that changed but be needed if he didn't want to lose the one that he loved. Yes love after a mere month but don't forget how they started and they were bound by a contract, sealing how strong they were. Must be that strong to move together. for me it was a good thing to read how they deal will they life together, the changes and compromises. and the story wasn't all about them, I was aware of Audrey, the one and vicious. So during my reading I was waiting for her and what will she do. Lastly of my surprise, it was a good introduction for the Elite Bachelor Club! Paul? Yeah, I thought that one could be bad but when I read about him in the book he wasn't a stealer or maybe he character wasn't developed. And a few names were mentioned so I expect great story about them. Zach, Paul, Matthew and the one who came with Audrey.
I enjoyed this story. I didn't like it quite as much as Lawful Escort (the beginning of Daniel and Sabrina's story). Lawful Lover picked up right where Escort left off ... neither book is dependent on the other. It was good to see how their adjustments to being together after such a short time together progressed. Pretty typical with a few twists.
My only real disappointment was that when I completed this story the next one had disappeared from all the online retailers. It was there last night when I got Lawful Lover and it was gone this morning with I finished it. :(
Appreciated the chick lit and superficial kink factors for the most part. Problem was the story went too far into the saccharin sweet direction for my personal tastes. Also irritating was the high school like relationship dynamics between the two.
Lawful Lover Book #2 of the new series Eternal Bachelor Club Tina Folsom
Lawful Lover picks up where Lawful Escort left off. Daniel and Sabrina take their relationship to the next level with Sabrina moving to New York with Daniel. Now keep in mind Daniel is a workaholic and this seems to be his biggest problem with his ex-girlfriends he never seemed to have time for them. He wants so badly to make this work with Sabrina; he’s never met or dated anyone like her. Most of the women were gold diggers but Sabrina was different. Money didn’t seem to sway her, Love and Respect did. She liked things simple. Daniel was in awe of Sabrina, she saw things differently, his apartment, his childhood house the Met and he absolutely could not get enough of her.
These characters were easy to identify with. Let’s face it, all of us at one time or another have been in some very awkward moments when dating someone. Meeting your boyfriends parents, hanging with his or her friends and everyone seems to always want to bring up the ex’s so yeah I could see why she was a little uncomfortable. Pulling up your roots to move cross country with a guy you’ve only known for a couple of weeks is I would say a little intimidating. You’re still learning about each other, and when your significant other is a workaholic you’re thrown into a situation where you know no one, are unfamiliar with the city and find yourself very lonely.
There were a few bumps in the road for Daniel and Sabrina, his ex Audrey for one. She was trying her best to make Sabrina believe Daniel couldn’t possibly be in love with her, and then there was Sabrina’s ex co-worker who was trying to make trouble for Daniel. But in the end they overcame the obstacles proving their love was real. I totally loved the way this book ended and can’t wait for Lawful Wife. Oh and on a side note loved loved loved Daniel’s Mom. I hope we see more of her in the last book of this trilogy. Oh yes and there will be more stories to come. Remember the mention of the guys in the Eternal Bachelor Club, well they each get their own story and find their true loves. I so can’t wait. Sometimes you just want a light deliciously sweet, small amount of angst romantic story to take you away. These are the perfect reads. I give Lawful Lover 5 well deserved stars.
This was another enjoyable book in this Series. Though, I still liked the first book more. It was nice to see how Daniel and Sabrina's love story continues. As it is in life, the course of true love does not always run clear. This couple do hit a couple of small bumps. In this book, there is a brief intoduction of the men of the Eternal Bachelors Club, who will be the leading men in future books is series. Plus, there is also background on this Club, as these gentlemen are college friends of Daniel.
The continuing story about Daniel and Sabrina. In this their relationship has moved forward, but there are definitely obstacles in their path. Someone from Daniel's past is determined to get between them.
A better read than the first book IMO. There's plenty of hot sex in this, plus this story is more realistic than the one before. I personally prefer this authors Scanguards series, she excels in those.
Sabrina moves to New York to be with Daniel. But he has been working hard to close another deal and is spending less time at home. Sabrina is lonely and can't see herself sitting around waiting for Daniel. What does she plan to do? Will Daniel realize what he is doing by working all the time and not spending time with Sabrina? What is Audrey, Daniel's ex-girlfriend up to? She wants him back and what she do to get that accomplished?
Daniel and Sabrina, these two characters always has the right mix of love and trust. I love how Daniel always tries to show Sabrina that for her he'll try everything. And Sabrina, I love how she tries to adapt in order to be with Daniel. If these two are real people and I have met them, I will definitely conclude that they are in it for the long haul.
Fun story. Sex, fun and very entertaining. You will love all of Tina Folsom's stories. The Characters are smart and surprising, the story is sexy and fun and very fast pace. You will not want to put the book down.
Audrey is really fucking crazy. Seriously her jealousy is much much bigger than her brain. And for sabrina you really make me proud to fight your rights being a women and Daniel is totally an awe to you. Can't wait what the last installment has to offer.
Loving having more Daniel and Sabrina. Continuing their romance now that Sabrina has moved to New York to live with Daniel they are getting to know each other but there are a few obstacles in the way of their HEA.
3.5 stars. Not much happened in the book for me, I was bored for part of it but I liked the characters and the HEA. This is building into a series and I will be happy to give the next book a try.
really enjoyed the follow up to Lawful Escort. Still love Daniel and Sabrina and good to see lots more new characters. looking forward to reading the last in the trilogy Lawful Wife
I loved Lawful Escort, and I wondered where the story would go to in this book. I was not disappointed at all. This is a wonderful read full of all the things that make this author's books such great reads. Tina Folsom is such a great story teller, I look forward to everything she writes. In this book, Sabrina has moved from San Francisco to New York to live with Daniel. She has the vision of it being just like their time together was in San Francisco. But Daniel is still the workaholic he has always been. He knows he needs to change it, but if he will is the question. Sabrina is feeling alone and needs to work, so she is prepping for the BAR exam and looking forward to working again. Sabrina is in love with Daniel and she thinks he feels the same way still, but she has her doubts. The evil and easily hate-able Audrey comes popping right back in, trying to destroy Sabrina and steal back Daniel. When she does something to help her dream, can Daniel keep Sabrina from running back to San Francisco? Will Daniels friends try to take Sabrina from him? This book has all the great twists like the first book and it is a great read. If you loved the first book, you will enjoy this one too! I can't wait to read what happens in the next book in the series!
Sabrina has moved to New York to be with Daniel and while she thought that things would continue the way that they did in San Francisco, she spends many of her nights alone because Daniel is still a workaholic. Add to the long nights the jaded ex-girlfriend Audrey and you have a show down.
While I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first, I still enjoyed it. My only complaint is that Sabrina often came off as whinny to me. Don’t get me wrong, I understand why she was upset about the many nights that Daniel spent working late but I didn’t like the way that she always doubted herself and seemed so insecure. Every time she met someone new she was worried that they wouldn’t like her. That got really old quick.
I liked the introduction to the other members of the Eternal Bachelor Club and with the exception of Paul, I liked them all. I didn’t really care for him because to me, he seemed like a snake. Hopefully I’m wrong, we shall see. Book 3 is already out.
I had read Lawful Escortlast year in the Escorts and Thievesbox set. I thought it was just a short story and didn't realize TF was going to develop it into a series. It was worth extending. Daniel and Sabrina are very likable characters, so I was happy to see their story progress. I'm not sure if I'll read all of the Eternal Bachelor series, but this was worth the read.
I loved the first book. So I bought this one. I wish I would have paid attention. . . this book is 159 pages at $3.99. I'm sorry but that's too expensive. This book is like a short story. I adore the characters. I love the relationship. This book wasn't as exciting as the first, but it was still very good. I got the first book for free and I guess that it was the same length (looking back at the page numbers) but it really felt longer. As much as I adore these characters, I'm not sure I'll buy book 3 because again, it's the same price and is short in length. I just feel like I'm not getting enough for my money.
ok so new place new love and man major jealousy issues. Audrey is a witch with a capital B for sure. I feel for Sabrina and Daniel to have to put up with her but am glad to see they can love each other enough to come through those issues. I love meeting the other men of the bachelor club they seem to be great friends and all. I love Holly and Tim I hope Tim gets his own book and fines happiness too he is a whoot. I love to read books from Tina she is a great author. it was good to see this side of her. I still love her vampire ones but this was a wonderful read too.
Sabrina was very ballsy moving to NY for Daniel. That's a risk I can't see myself taking, but it took a lot, and she did it for love. Her only downfall is the insecurity she has in their relationship. She never sees herself as good enough, so when Audrey, that beast of an ex, pulls her stunt, Sabrina just takes the situation as face value instead of reading into it.
Daniel should have seen Audrey's move coming from a mile away.
This story was ok. I didn't like that Sabrina felt so insecure throughout most of the book. But she was also quite adventurous which was great and what's not to love about Daniel. He's great.I love Tina Folsom's writing style usually so I will definitely finish the trilogy. Plus I'm already looking forward to Paul's story in the Eternal Bachelor's Club series. Happy reading!
I bought a cheap kindle "bundle" called Romance at the Beach. The bundle included 5 novels of supposed light romance. Lawful Lover was the second book in the download. I read a couple of chapters and skimmed a few more. There didn't seem to be much plot or character development or anything else except sexual encounters recounted in very explicit detail. I abandoned the book.
