There was nothing wrong with the writing style and I wouldn't mind reading this author again. I just couldn't stand the heroine whining and griping throughout the whole story.

According to the author this is her steamiest book. And since I don't like books with steam rising from every page, I had my doubts before I started reading this. But, I have to say, I loved it! Yes, it is steamy. But not in every chapter. And with a wonderful and sweet story in between the love-scenes.
So, I'm glad I did read it!

I thought this was a very cute read, it wasn’t as good as the first one but was a great listen. It was hard for me to identify with Lauren and her easy ways of hook ups, one nightstands never a second night. For her to feel so much against relationships her parents much have been something else. The author does talk about this but I still cannot get a handle on it. All couples fight, pick, and snap at times. I wish the author could have made me seen this more clearly. This is very much a story of overcoming your past, starting over and learning how to love and what love is when you had no one show you.

Ms. Klett did a great job of narration there was one place where she repeated a few words so I am thinking this is where she took a break. Besides that if any breaks were taken I could not tell. She really showed me how Kyle really felt about the whole hook up thing. Her character voices are wonderful she has the accent down right and really pulls you into the story. I did not hear any background noise or any place where the volume was higher or lower than any other place in the book. She really gets into the emotion giving such power to the characters feelings. The audio was clear and clean giving you a wonderful listen. Her male and female voices were a delight to listen to. You have no trouble knowing what each one is feeling or their emotions. I really feel she did a wonderful job I really enjoyed it.

Kyle my heart really went out to him I am not sure if he was looking for a relationship when he fell into it. He fell fast and hard trying to keep it light but having a hard time of it. He was a very likeable character that any women would love. Lauren didn’t give me enough information to make me feel for her. I would have liked to have seen her and her parents at least try to work out their relationship so maybe she could have understood them a little better. I wasn’t raised with the best family but still I have no trouble having a relationship. I am not one that gets close to many, I like being married and all that goes with the relationship. It was just hard for me to really understand her. I would have liked to have seen how things worked out for them a little farther out past the 3 month mark more along a few years.

It was nice to get to catch up with the characters in the other book and see how their relationship is going. I missed seeing the brother he added so much to the last story. I wouldn’t say this was a book I had trouble putting down but it was a good read. The narrator really adds a lot to the audio. I am looking forward to the next book not sure where that new person will come from when it was just the two girls. It should be interesting to see where the author is going to take this. It is worth your time to give it a listen I feel more would enjoy it.

I volunteered and/or requested a copy from NetGalley/Edelweiss/Instafreebie/AudioBookBoom/book tour/author/narrator/publisher to review.

So I’ll admit it, this series has turned even me, the world’s biggest romance Scrooge, into a softie. It’s clear that Courtney Hunt is great at creating likable characters that leave you completely invested in their story. This is such a great quality, that I don’t even care if the book is a romance story. I simply just enjoyed being along for the ride.

Initially taking place simultaneously as the first book, Forever A Bridesmaid, Erin’s partner and best friend, Lauren finds herself juggling everything while Erin is away in Savannah. What she doesn’t expect is to find the guy of her dreams while wearing a penis antenna headband for a bacherolette party. Completely different from the more timid Erin, Lauren has no qualms with taking advantage of the situation and bedding the hunky photographer, Kyle, that same night. While Erin had a no one night stand rule, Lauren has an only one night stand rule. Of course, this proves difficult as she continuously bumps into Kyle and before she knows it, just like Erin, she’s breaking all of her own rules.

One of the best things about this story is that it doesn’t take on the same pattern as the first. Lauren doesn’t find herself in a whirlwind romance. Instead, she’s constantly trying to keep Kyle at arm’s length. Also, the timing is different. While Erin and Matthew’s story took a week, Lauren’s takes a few months, which also allows you to see Erin and Matthew’s story unfold more, while still being invested in Lauren and Kyle’s story. Much like the first book, it’s fast paced and I was surprised by how quickly I was reading. It felt like I had just picked up the book and yet, I was already rooting for the couple to find a way to make it work.

I’m not sure how many books will be featured in this series, but I am looking forward to reading the next installment, Never A Bridesmaid. And if the two books of this series are any indication of how the rest will be, I think this may have a great chance at becoming a really popular series. Especially with so many of you romance lovers out there. But you know, if someone like me can fall in love with this series, it doesn’t matter what kind of books you like. This is a series I would highly recommend to any bookworm who is looking for something lighthearted and enjoyable to read.

Lauren and Kyle story was sweet, funny and at the same time ‘give yourself and opportunity’ story. Refusing to a life like her parents, bickering all the time, she didn’t want a relationship, just one night-stand to enjoy and live the moment. When she met Kyle, the photographer she mistook for a stripper, her life got complicated. Kyle felt attracted to her and wanted something more than a hook up but she was not to budge. Stubborn woman! Could all be lost for Lauren and Kyle? Her family upbringing had marked her making the phrase “falling in love” or the word “commitment” something that has to be avoided at all cost. Liked how Kyle’s character was outlined. He had his own issues but was opened to hers. He seemed real. The story pace was good, Lauren’s struggle with her feelings made me feel upset. Why she was hurting herself in that way? It was not fair for neither of them. Think I get caught in the drama. The story follows Forever a Bridesmaid and we get to know what was happening with Lauren while Erin and Matthew were falling in love. Enjoyed the story, laughed with the bachelorette parties and the descriptions and I’m ready for Dylan’s story.

Another cute story, but this time it's about Lauren, the other half of the Always a Bridesmaid team, and Kyle, a photojournalist turned wedding photographer. Lauren's determined not to enter into any sort of relationship with anyone until Kyle comes along who realizes he wants more. So slowly they end up together... but then when she realizes it, she freaks out.

This story takes place between the last chapter of book 1 and its epilogue. Land K are really cute together. They come off as a typical couple who fall in love without realizing it.

The only drama here is the one that's created by fear and paranoia about relationships.

This takes place at the same time as Forever a Bridesmaid v1, but in Boston. Thank you, as always, for the beautiful word pictures. Some of the best visuals in a sex scene. Holding yourself to one night only, never a repeat because your parents failed at love seems like cutting your nose off to spite your face. First hot, intense sex, then slow, soft steps to friendship interspersed with desire, joy, feeling safe, comfortable and yet still skittish. Fear is the great disabler.

Is this the end?

Once a Bridesmaid (Always a Bridesmaid Book 2) - Courtney Hunt

I liked this one, I did but I was not happy with the conflict and how it was resolved. I know the reasons why Lauren freaked out, but I still thought it was childish and short-sighted.

But, I loved everything else about the book, so I gave it 4 stars. I really liked both Erin and Lauren. I'm sad that their tales will be ending. Is it possible that our professional groomsman Dylan will be able to get a book?

Absolutely loved it. It has just the right amount of everything to make a story great. It was such a good read. I highly recommend it. To watch her try to keep herself from even dating and just having one night stands and then letting love sneak up on her before she wants to admit it did was awesome. Lauren and Kyle.

I enjoyed the story and the sweet chemistry between Lauren and Kyle, when we were allowed to see it. Lauren's insistence that "this is not a date" started to wear a little thin about halfway through the book. I was not a fan of her cold, tough demeanor. Kyle had the patience of a saint and deserved better treatment.

My least favorite book by this author

There is almost no introduction before Lauren and Kyle are doing ‘it’. Again. And again. I really don’t mind s.. (I don’t know if I can use the word in a review, so I’d better be safe) in a book, but for me this was too sudden. Yet it is what Lauren wants. Just s.. with no strings attached. She doesn’t want to be tied down. In her experience that just leads to bickering and bitterness. But Kyle does want more.

I didn’t connect. Not to Lauren (I didn’t like her all that much), not even to Kyle (I liked him a bit better). The POV changed from Lauren to Kyle, but somehow it didn’t seem to come from them. Too descriptive maybe. I found that the feeling wasn’t transferred to me. I kept hoping for it to get better, but… no. And it surprised me, because I have read books by this author that did deserve 5 stars!

Lauren and Kyle dance around each other, coming together, pulling away, coming together again... There is this whole section where they are friends with benefits, but Lauren insists they’re NOT boyfriend-girlfriend. At least that’s what she says, but really they are, she’s just not calling it that. And the tension is completely gone. Then Lauren pulls away again and Kyle finally has enough. And frankly, so had I. It got to a point where I just thought: ‘Oh Lauren, quit whining and just go for it! Just get your head out of your *** and accept his love!’ Maybe, if I had liked Lauren better, I would not have minded her internal struggle so much. Sorry.

I received a complimentary copy of this book and voluntarily posted an honest review.

Once a Bridesmaid (Always a Bridesmaid Book 2)
Read first in this series and enjoyed all the very detailed descriptions of things taking place and background scenery.
This story is about Lauren-the woman who lives in Boston and works at Always a Bridesmaid with Erin from the first book. She's staging a bachelorette party where the bride wants all male organ decorations.
As she takes them out of the tote I am just sitting here laughing my butt off!
Kyle the stripper shows up early and he wants to look around. She assumes he's the stripper and he is not!
She gets all wrapped up in Kyle and we are able to hear his side of the story also...he learns quickly after having sex with her that she won't do a repeat. They meet often as he's the photographer for the wedding...
Love finer details of the locale-the duck story! I was there often but never there-going to eye doctors in the city for several days a week for years and never ventured to see them. Also treasure the other events that had a place in the story: Gloucester during holidays and other city things. Also appreciate the ending how it all fits into place-the locations and what is real and what is not.
Things become confusing for Lauren and she breaks it off although many try to reason with her...can't wait for the third in this series.

I really enjoyed this book! Courtney writes stories rich in dialog and detail regarding the feelings of the characters. Lauren grew up with parents who left a negative impression of love and relationships on her that has her wanting NOTHING to do with it. She doesn't want to be miserable like her parents are and so she attempts to protect herself by only engaging in one night stands. Being a professional bridesmaid gives her plenty of opportunity for men, but she doesn't break the rules with any until she meets Kyle. Kyle is a gorgeous photographer who has spent his life wandering the globe capturing riveting images, but after a scandal over a photo, he has been in the Boston area searching for a gig. He ends up helping his best friend as a wedding photographer and meets Lauren. They hook up after a rowdy bachelorette shower and Lauren walks away, she broke one rule already with Kyle and wasn't liking to break any more even if their chemistry was off the charts! Kyle wasn't as happy with the one night status, the chemistry between he & Lauren being more than he experienced before.
Though the developing romance between them isn't typical and it isn't everyday you read a story where the man is ready for a relationship before the woman, this story captured my attention and I hated tearing myself away from it!

What a read!!! Had me clicking my kindle at the speed of light to see what would happen next. This is my second book in the “Always a Bridesmaid” series that I have read in which I have read totally out of order book 3 first now book 2. So this great series can be read as stand-alone or as the series. I was mesmerized with this book and the female character Lauren was a very determined young lady that knew what she wanted and took it. Kyle Rawlings was any girl’s dream of a man sexy, loving, patient, understanding and most of all great in bed. I have received this ARC book and this is my voluntary and honest review from my heart. I wanted more of this great story and did not want the book to end. This book is full of witty dialogue, steamy sex scenes and characters you will fall in love with while hoping they will find their HEA.

I loved this book but I found myself really torn about Lauren, being a professional Bridesmaid and seeing people happy you would think she could get past her parents fighting all the time, at some point in our lives we just have to pull our big girl pants on and move on. I loved loved Kyle, I knew he had a backstory, I just felt it, he was sweet and patient and I found myself through most of the book silently telling him to just give up but I knew he loved Lauren even if she wasn’t ready to admit it yet . But Kyle finally had the guts to say goodbye and that got her attention and made her realize she really did love him. Sometimes you never know what you have until you almost lose it for good. I would have liked to have seen the book be a little longer so that Kyle and Lauren get married so we could see how she handled that.

The book was a quick read. Lauren helps her friend fill in at weddings and sometimes that may mean her stepping in as a bridesmaid. She has no desire to fall in love or get married. Kyle the photographer talks Lauren into basically dating him with benefits. Lauren is just out for fun no seriousness for her. She feels like what happened to her parents would happen to her so she wants no part of commitment marriage ect. Anyways having a casual thing going always leads to one or both falling for the other and messing up the fun. In this story it was Kyle who did that and Lauren broke off the relationship she never wanted in the first place. Then you kind of figure out what happens from this point forward. it was fast but predictable it did have some steamy scenes. I recommend the book.

Once A Bridesmaid by Courtney Hunt is the second book in the Always a Bridesmaid series and the first one I have read in this series. Not reading the first book did not keep me from enjoying this one. Courtney wrote book 2 as Lauren's story, so Erin's in the first book didn't take anything away from it; Erin and Matthew are minor characters in this book. There are some steamy scenes in this book, so be prepared. The story is well written and kept my attention. The characters are well developed and you can relate to them. They have all the normal hang-ups and insecurities of everyday folks. I definitely would recommend this book to anyone who likes contemporary romance with some steamy scenes and a good storyline. I received an ARC, but voluntarily read and gave my honest, fair review.

I find this series to be absolutely fantastic, and this second book is certainly no exception. The plot is inspired, the writing creative, and the characters refreshingly real. These characters completely draw you into the story to the point that you just don’t want to put the book down. They are honest, strong, and relatable, and they just jump right off the page. This is a true love story. It will steam up the glass on your e-reader and touch your heart at the same time. This wonderfully romantic journey to love is one you won’t want to miss. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet and sexy read.

I really enjoyed "Once a Bridesmaid" by Courtney Hunt. I'm still fairly new to this author, but having read the first book of the series "Forever a Bridesmaid" I quickly became a fan. Her writing style is great and I love how the previous story in the series is intertwined with this one. I hope to see the series continue on with future books.
Happy Reading...enjoy!

What a wonderful story! Even though she had a horrible childhood & refuses to commit to more than only one night stands, she meets up with a photographer who worms his way into her heart. I love how he takes his time to let her ease into the idea of liking & wanting him more than just the one night stand. I chuckled every time I read, "This is not a date." She can deny it all she wants but we all know what happens when subtle changes happen in their "arms length" distance.

I am volunteering to leave an honest review for an ARC of this book.

I was not a fan of the heroine in this story. She was so stuck in her mindset and it seemed a bit like a broken record... something happened, heroine was happy, remembered she doesn't do relationships then sabotaged herself. I wanted to give her a good smack. Because I couldn't relate to the heroine, I didn't enjoy the book as much as I might have. The writing was fine, very few errors apart from the odd wrong word, but the book itself wasn't to my taste.

Lauren & Kyle's story was captivating. I love when the hero has to work to win the love of his heroine. And, Lauren definitely did not make it easy on Kyle. I really liked how their friendship developed. This was romance at its best!

Good but after the first chapter it was very predictable. I knew that their “fight” would be about Lauren getting scared of being in a committed relationship with Kyle even though they were already basically in one without the title. I don’t like when you can tell that one person clearly likes someone more than the other person.

A really great story with truly lovable characters. Kyle is so hot and so patient waiting for Lauren to realise that he is the best thing to happen to her. Great support too from Lauren's friends. Some really steamy moments. Can thoroughly recommend.
