Well, as a native Floridian, I found Volume 1 charming!
And when people I know started to be referenced, I was just enchanted!
Then I learned a lot about the early days before my family came down in 1925.
So I picked up the other volumes......BIG mistake.
Volume 2 is so awful -- and some of it is only even tangentially connected to Florida.
And some of the murders are gruesome -- and gratuitous.
And while Sir Harry Oakes murder is very interesting, it was in an entirely different country!
And some of the significant murders in Miami of the 1970s & 1980s were omitted...
Then comes volume 3....redundant! And poorly edited.
Just....don't....bother
