Lynn Davis has done it again, Deliver Me From Negative Self Talk is outstanding. Not only will it help you get your thoughts straight and help you keep them there, but Lynn gives us the tools in each chapter to elevate what we think and help you question why you think that way. In the world we live in being bombarded with so much negative all around we all can get easily caught up in it, thankfully there is a better way. In this book your even given ways to talk positive affirmations, and of course see what you Don't want to say. This book is so full of wisdom and truth and real life stuff. Lynn has walked the walked and shares with us how to be survivors and overcome to become all we are meant to be in the Lord. So I was given a copy for a honest review and I'm headed out to buy a few for gifts for loved ones. Grab a few copies you'll read it more than once and you will most definitely bless whoever you give one to. Enjoy!

Negative self-talk can cause a person to fall into deep valleys of oppression and depression but this book can no doubt be a help for anyone facing such difficult times with wonderful and practical positive speaking skills worth the few dollars and time to read if one is willing to apply the advice.

For most in this battlefield of dark journeys finding it hard to renew your mind in the things of God unfolding and experiencing the joy of Christ this book with some overall Biblical teachings may just be the leg up you are looking for with easy to follow advice and story line!

Good content, but the grammar and spelling needs to be improved-it is a book after all. There is a difference between "principal" and "principle." Here is the summary: Meditation + Declaration = Manifestation. Very true.

I liked this book. It had some really great truths and the writing style was good. A few things it said, I didn't agree with 100% but it was still a good read.

This free Kindle download caught my attention because I grew up with a father who repeated "life sucks, then you die". I only read the intro and first chapter, but I found too many problematic statements mixed with truth to continue.

Alternative recommendation: Jennie Allen's "Get Out of Your Head: Stopping the Spiral of Toxic Thoughts" is a book I found to be helpful.

I like the idea of this book. The premise is very helpful, necessary, and practical to living successfully. However, I felt that the ideas were poorly developed and there should have been relatable examples included on how negative talk affects one's outcome in life. It would have added more substance if stories were included about individuals who's lives were transformed with the advice given in this book. With that point being made, I think the author could have afforded to do more research about the impact of negativity on one's outlook.

Awesome book, very helpful

I really enjoyed reading this book. Very easy to read and understand. The way it explains certain issues we deal with in a daily basis is so true and I can relate to it. The positive feedback in reference to those issues are so rewarding and uplifting. Thank you so much to the author and am looking forward to more of her reading material. I highly recommend this book and may God bless you all!

Enjoyment

As a small business owner, I deal with negative gremlins in my mind that do a great job of pointing out my faults. I found this book accidentally and am grateful that I did. It is easy to read and uplifting

Writing the obvious

Everything in here is super cheesy and most obvious choices. It is also incredibly repetitive. That being said, we sometimes need a reminder of the obvious so I see where the value can be. For what it is, it works.

We do need to be more careful about what we say to ourselves and what we listen to. God is so powerful, and we are too. We can do all things through Christ.

This book explains why a Christian shouldn’t surrender to negative self-talk, and what she should do instead. I was hoping for more practical advice on how to stop it.

This is an amazing thought-provoking self-help book full of conviction, scripture, and motivational helps and guides to living a life full of hope, health, healing, and happiness. It reminds us that we so often 'sell ourselves short' by condemning ourselves for our past and not giving God the credit and glory for recreating us into the creatures that He wants us to be. Of course, we can't do anything on our own, but with God's help, who can go against us. I love the sensitivity and conviction which this author uses to pick us up and get us moving again into the life that God wants us to have. Thanks Lynn Davis for a well thought out book to put power into the lives of those who are willing to accept God's promises. Keep writing your positive thoughts.

I read this book over a long period of time, thinking and contemplating on various thoughts as I read. I would recommend this book to absolutely everyone. It will change your life.

I read another Lyn Davis book called Renewing Your Mind, it was giant. I really got a lot out of it, this one - not so much.

Perhaps this one is just not my kind of book. Both these books have the same kind of intent, making your mind your friend and benefactor rather than your enemy. Getting your mind to lead you to God rather than to throw you in the ditch.

For some reason Renewing Your Mind really clicked with me and I got a great deal out of it, this one I just couldn’t connect with at all. The other book was filled with strategies to help you think the right way and not fall into the trap of destructive thinking.

This book is just a series of lists - when your thoughts tell you this - you should think that. It doesn’t work for me.

The author has written many books and seems to be very popular. But I would suggest you try the other book Renewing Your Mind first. It beats the pants off this one.

I definitely learned a lot from this one.

I knew from the Bible, that our words have power, but this book will more than likely cause you to say, "Uh-oh. I just saw myself! I have said that...and that...and..." The author also gives you alternatives to change negative speech patterns into uplifting powerful ones.

It's a fairly short read, but one that you'll probably want to keep on hand just to refresh your thought process occasionally, until it becomes as ingrained as your negative self talk was.

Wonderful!

I couldn't put it down! Her story was interesting and captivating, No dull chapters here. There were so many things about her life The compared to mine... My son is in prison but I'm keeping renewed hope and praying differently for him. She gave wonderful examples of praying scriptures. Which is something my pastor taught us to do about a month ago. I was so inspired!

Author is full of wisdom

This book caught my attention because of the title. I’m so glad that I read it. This is like 2 books in one. The first half, or first book, the author coaches us into speaking positivity. The second half, or second book, is her personal story. She stood strong and kept faith in God, continually praising Him for blessings she had not yet received. What a great example.

Short and Informative

I was drawn to this book because of the title, and also because the source was from the Bible. I learned a fewer things and was reminded of the need to speak God's word over my situations (not the same as speaking positively) .
Was a bit Disappointed at the length of the book and also thought it was weak on substance in certain areas. Overall it's an okay guide and a quick read
