***** 5 Cranky Stars *****

Declan Reede has been given a second chance with the love of his life Alyssa and with Sinclair Racing, even though it is not in the ProV8. He knows he needs to keep his nose clean for the chance to get back in that ProV8 car.

He has embraced being a father and owned up to all the mistakes he made during the four years he was gone. He is starting his new life with Alyssa and their daughter and is willing to do whatever is necessary to keep his nose clean and win back the sponsors as Danny has told him.

Except old adversaries are doing what they can to threaten his chances. Will he be able to overcome these new challenges and claim the life he finally deserves?

Once again Michelle Irwin has outdone herself. There are so many things I just love about her books. One of those things is that her books have depth and length to them. They are not short reads and the detail she incorporates in the story is awesome.

Those small events that can sometimes be overlooked later in the story but she remembers the follow-up. The story is not rushed and her writing flows. Over the course of this series we have truly seen the characters grow and mature. They are far from perfect and still continue to make mistakes yet we understand why.

Declan learned from his mistakes of the past, which was not easy for him and it took the help and support of others including his psychiatrist. Now that he knows what he can have, he no longer wants his old life.

Of course his father and another driver don’t want that for him. Declan has become very protective of his girls and learning to control his temper and keep his nose clean was becoming an issue. He struggled with his self confidence at times and doubted himself. The support of Alyssa, Danny, Morgan, and Eden as secondary characters helped add to the story.

Then of course there were the curves in the road that were not expected. I so love when the plot takes a different road than you expect it to, it really keeps you on your toes.

Of course I didn’t want this book to end knowing it would be the end of Declan’s untold story and now I’m left with a major book hangover.

This is one series I have been recommending to others and I can’t wait to see what the author writes next.

5 Stars!!!

I was given this book in turn for an honest review.

They have their second chance; they have their family, love and whole life ahead of them. With a new found sense of purpose, Declan is determined to show the world; Alyssa and Phoebe are his future. When his past faces him head on, can he fight the knee jerk reactions and strive to be the ultimate better man?

My love for Declan Reede I honestly didn’t think could become any bigger than it already was. Michelle Irwin has given us the sweet, loyal, honest, smart and family orientated young man we could see and fell in love with in Decide book #0.5 in the series. The boy that was desperate to show the world how much love he had to give and to live it with the only girl he loved before outside influences changed their lives and tore them apart.

I feel all soppy and mushy with this book; the love pours from the pages and you can’t help finding yourself whipped into the whirlwind that is Declan Reede. This man has changed and found himself again and along with it he has changed the lives of those around him. He has taken on his mistakes, he has taken on board what he needs to do to have the future they all deserve and he is fighting tooth and nail to have it. Nothing will stand in his way from showing the woman he loves how much she and his daughter mean to him.

Alyssa really grew on me in this book, in the first two books of the series #0.5 and #1 I felt she never took any responsibility herself for how some of their future had panned out, as much as Declan had made huge mistakes and it took him a long time to realise them, she too had not given him the full support he so desperately needed to support him in both a career and a family. She is now a much stronger woman willing to strive not only for her dreams but for those of Declan’s too and she has a lot more trust in him than she has ever shown before. I had a renewed love and admiration for her.

I never stopped gushing over Declan in this book; he was just so irresistibly sweet. In every task he took on he did it with a new found pride and reason to come out on top. He realised, that although family was all he needed he still wanted to strive to do well for them, which meant changing the manner in which he dealt with situations and opportunities. He was now a man, a family man and he was a proud man who had the only two people he needed, Alyssa and Phoebe.

This book was gripping; on more than one occasion Michelle Irwin had my heart in my throat. Nothing in life ever comes easy and Declan’s road to where he wanted to be was far from smooth. The emotions that he and those around him went through had me close to tears. I read with abated breath and with my mind in turmoil as to where this story would go and how it would end. The bumps along the road were not all small; Declan, his family and his friends were truly put through the wringer. One character really boiled my blood in this book, I would have loved nothing more than to crawl into my kindle and have given them a taste of their own medicine; to torture them till they begged for mercy. They really did boil my blood that much.

This book for me was the perfect ending for Declan and Alyssa. They deserved their HEA and they deserved a life together. I am truly made up that my racing man got his girl.

This story gives everyone hope, that when life throws a second chance at you, you take it and you prove you are worthy of it, that no matter your past you can change and have a happy future and rebuild trust and love that had once been torn away.

The Declan Reede series is a contemporary romance full of suspense, heartache, humour, action and love. If you love all of these things you will absolutely love this series from Michelle Irwin.

*** Gifted in exchange for my honest review ***

Michelle Irwin has created a lively series based on the pro v8 racing circuit. With scenes based in Australia including Brisbane, Sydney, and of course my new home in New Zealand got a mention ;) Maybe I will have to go check out the Pro Series when its in Hamilton next!
If you have ever had a petrol head for a Hubby/Partner or Boyfriend or follow race cars you will recognise the tracks Declan races at, and Ms Irwin does transport you to the excitment of the races in her writing. This and the relationship between Alissa and Declan make this series to be an action packed read you will not put down.

In Declare we have Declan about to start a new era, but with the love of his life Alyssa by his side, he knows that whatever is thrown in his path he can deal with it. Although with his arch nemesis Hunter making as much mischief for Declan as he can muster, will Declan keep his cool?

Will Hunter, get found out?
Will Danny finally see the light and give Declan a break?

I will let you work out for yourself so not to spoil the story, But
this book was my favourite of the series, and it gets a full 5 stars from me.
There is swearing in this series, but the characters portrayed in the book are true to life as I discovered when living in Aussie, I met a few fellas that reminded me of characters in this book, and boy do not EVER disturb anyone who is watching Bathurst!! for the majority of Aussie Racing enthusiasts everything stops and they are glued to the race whether via the TV or at the track.
I am happy with how Ms Irwin has finished Declan's road to redemption, and I am glad that we will get a spin off series that will be set in the future when Phoebe Declan's Daughter grows up... I can see him loosing his cool again LOL and can't wait to see what is in store for my favourite Aussie Racing family.

I hope you enjoy meeting the Reedes as much as I did.

This is the 4th book in thhe Declan Reede series and the whole time, I've found myself holding my breath hoping he can get his shit together and become the man you know is hiding under the surface. The man that for a long while, even Declan seemed to be afraid of.

With an engagement ring on Alyssa's finger and the imminent move of the love of his life and their daughter Phoebe into his Sydney home, normal day to day life becomes a challenge Declan has never known. How will this previously notorious playboy cope with being a grease monkey all day, juggling bills and coming home to a family with commitments all the time planning a wedding and trying to avoid trouble with the dream of possibly one day, driving a V8 again.

Book 4 is everything I needed the final of the series to be - it tied up all the loose ends, characters who needed to get what was coming to them, got exactly that, old grievances were pushed aside, new friendships were formed and painful, reluctant goodbyes were made.

The one thing that became evident in 'Declare' for me, was how much author Michelle Irwin, really did love Declan Reede - despite all the mistakes he'd made, deep down, she knew she had to show us that he really was a good guy who just wanted to be loved.

I'm sad to see him go, but in the end, Declan got what he deserved - the woman he always wanted!

This is book 4 in the Declan Reede series. I have been on pins and needles hoping that Declan can get his act together for not only Alyssa but their daughter Phoebe as well. This is the final book for Alyssa and Declan. can he get his things figured out and become the family man that Alyssa needs and knows he can be. Or will his dream of driving again get in the way?

This book made me want to scream and shake Declan from time to time. But everything was tied up and all questions were answered. So if you have not read the other books in this series I highly suggest it. You need to read them before you can read this one and understand everything.

Its been a tough road for Alyssa and Declan and I am so glad I was introduced to this series and taken on this ride with them. Although sad to see them go I'm glad they were finally able to get the ending they deserved a HEA.

Oh Declan oh Declan.

What can I say but oh Declan.

Alyssa and Declan move to Sydney to start both their new jobs.

It looks like no one will interfere with them any more and they can get on with their life's. Well maybe one person. The other Sinclair racing driver Hunter.

Can Hunter run a wedge between Alyssa and Declan or even Danny and Declan or will he get what is coming to him.

We are also wondering if any more kids will be on the cards for Alyssa and Dec or will Pheobe be an only child. All this will be answered in the final Declan Reese book.

Michelle also has a surprise at the end and I can't wait for it.

This book is, perhaps, my favourite of the series. We met Declan when he was a boy, a hot headed feisty boy who was in love with the girl next door, but then he left her for the lure of V8s and engine grease...then we saw him as the still hot headed, tempestuous and broken young man who had lost Alyssa and didnt know know how to cope with that....then we saw him as the young Adult who was fighting to get to know his daughter, while he screwed up a lot, it was usually for the right reasons....but the man? Declan Reede the family man and the sole protector of his little family....well, he blew me away. Our boy has finally grown up.
In this book we see him fullfilling his potential, both on the track and off of it. He learns to calm that temper of his and to focus on the things in life that matter the most.
Alyssa is, for me, a very relatable character, she's had a hard life....exceptionally hard actually and loving Dec has always been far from easy! so you tend to forgive her for being a little hard on him at times. The couple have finally learnt to embrace each other and work as a team.
I love that Michelle placed the family in every day situations, like being exhausted after work and getting up early to take the adorable Phoebe to nursery, it balances out all of the fantastical celebrity jet-setter stuff and adds a vein of realism and normality.
Gah i just cant put into words the amount of emotions this book has conjured up inside of me....but i suppose predominantly im proud. I'm proud of the man that Declan's become. I'm proud of the way he's overcome every obstacle that's been thrown in his direction and i'm proud of Alyssa for sticking by him no matter what! she's one hell of a ''ride or die'' chick! but most of all....I'm proud of Madam Irwin! Regardless of the genre that she's writing, she manages to sprinkle some Michelle magic into the mix and with every single new release she evolves and changes and grows as an author while remaining true to her originality. I salute that! and i salute you!

Once again Michelle Irwin has written another amazing book, I don’t think we will ever get sick of this man we love reading his story.

We found this book to be a bit different and maybe that because we seen the characters grow a lot more we seen Declan really stand up and grow up and put his family first and always thought of their needs before his own so that was really great to watch compared to the party goer in earlier books and he seem to put himself out there a lot more it was great to read.

We seen a lot more interaction between Declan and his daughter there was a lot more dialogue which we really loved. They seem to have more of a bond now and have their own special connection which was beautiful to watch.

We seen Declan stand up to Alyssa’s father who was only being protective of his daughter but Declan really took in the enormity of the hurt he had cause Alyssa and that took a lot of courage one his part. We found ourselves trying to hold that tears at bay when Declan goes to visit with Emmanuel, its truly heart breaking, Alyssa is such a strong person for going through everything she has gone through and yet still comes out the other side.

We loved the little surprise at the end.

We love Declan.

We love Alyssa.

We have loved watching them grow in the series Thank you Michelle Irwin for once again another beautiful hot and steamy book of one of our favorite book boyfriends Mr Declan Reede!!

I felt like I went through the years with Alyssa and Declan as I read through this final book of their story. Although this one felt a bit slow paced compare to the other books but I guess it’s because their life in this book is much more stable than when they first started.

I love how the characters grew throughout the series. I love looking at Declan in this book and see how hs perspective differs from here and from then. The maturity and evolution each character came to was really inspiring and it felt amazing to be a part of their journey.

Though it’ probably highly irrelevant, being a fan of formula one, I had a new appreciation to the sport after reading Declan’s perspective as a racer and my respect for the pit crew grew up a notch.

Declan and Alyssa’s story will be among the books that I’ll probably read again once I find more time or just because. My gratitude and salute to the author for bringing to us such an amazing story and sharing with us the colorful life of Declan Reede.

OMG Declan Reede what have you done to me!!!!

Im so sad that this series has come to an end i've loved every part of his story from the fast living wild and crazy Declan right down to the happily under the thumb of his girls, family man that he becomes.
I read the last couple of chapters as slow as I could not wanting my journey with him to end, this book had me laughing my head off at Declan and Morgan and the antics that they get up to, but I also shed a tear or two as Declan visits Emmanuel's grave talking to his dead baby son had me in bits when he finally realises that whether he is a winner or a loser his family will still love him.
Declan still faces many challenges in this final instalment, and he faces them head on.
Some gripping moments had me thinking he wouldnt get all his dreams come true and I really did start biting my nails down from worry thats how drawn into his story I have become.
Michelle Irwin YOU ROCK!! Superb writing as always, you know far to much about V8 cars and the workings of sexy hot racing drivers!!! ;-)

After reading Declan's story so far I couldn't wait to get my hands on this the 4th and final book. Michelle Irwin finishes Declan's story in the same way that she wrote the rest of his story with conflicts and tribulations that he must make choices about and how those choices then affect those around him and the rest of his life.

Fly down the straight, fight for first, and keep the end in sight. In Declan Reede's mind, the road ahead is free of doubt and indecision. He knows the path that he wants to travel, and that it can only be traversed with love at his side. He's ready for it. Wants it. Only, as he races toward the finish line, old adversaries become new threats. Declan must overcome the past and face the challenges head on if he's to claim the life he now believes he deserves. What will it take for him to declare his true desires? Will it be enough to claim the ultimate victory?

Wow! What an amazing, if not turbulent, journey. Declan and Alyssa certainly had their share of bumps in the road. The started as friends, went to people in love who couldn't be around each other with hurting the other, to hopelessly and completely devoted to one another. They definitely hurt one another along the way but, in the end, they found what was staring them both in the face since they were kids. This is by far my favorite of the series so far but, I still have to read Decode so, that might change. Just have to wait and see what come next!

Wow! It's been a rollercoaster ride for Declan Reede. Reading Declare was bittersweet. This is such a great series I did not want it to end. Declan has come such a long way and it hasn't been easy. You kind of want to hate him in the beginning but you just can't, you end up being his biggest fan. Well, besides Phoebe. :) It had a very happy happily ever after, which made me happy.

Seriously though 5+ stars for this series, it has everything you could want!

Please note this review may contain spoilers.

With DECLARE, we have gladly and sadly reached the end of Declan Reede's untold story, and what a story it was. We've seen Declan, a teen who thought he knew what he wanted in life, turn into a young piece of shit that you wanted to kick in the nuts, who then grew up to become an honourable family man. His wild days are over and we see a man whose idea of a perfect night is one spent with his family. Although he's changed, there are still some elements of the old Declan to be seen here and there, and thank god for that. His cockiness is a big part of who he is and I'm happy to see that he retained some of it, despite his personal growth.

What can I say about DECLARE? The beginning had me crying. The bachelorette stripper scene had me laughing. The wedding reception speeches had me cringing and furious on Declan's behalf. And the ending? Well, the ending was perfect. There's also a wonderful epilogue that is set six years in the future and briefly shows what Declan and Alyssa have been up to. I felt there were a few things we needed closure on, such as his mum, his dad and his therapy. Apart from Alyssa and racing, they all played a big part in all four books, so I was a little disappointed that those parts were never finalised. But other than that, I enjoyed reading DECLARE as much as I enjoyed reading all books in the Declan Reede series.

So is this the last we'll hear of Declan and Alyssa? Maybe not. PHASE (The Untold Story # 5) is scheduled for release in August 2016 and will be about their daughter, Phoebe.

Wow, this series is a very well written flowing story where every detail matters. Michelle Irwin has again outdone herself. This is not a light read, but it is addicting. Every word is added with propose. These characters have grown and all events add depth to their personalities. The plot has curves in the road sending the story in another direction I didn't see coming. It will be keeping you on your toes and turning the pages. A racecar driver, Declan Reede, is taking steps to win back the respect and love of Alyssa, the racing circuit and those sponsors that he lost. Keeping himself on the straight and narrow will not be easy with those conspiring to set him up to fail. He knows that this is his chance to have it all. The new life with the love of his life and their daughter and his dream career as a ProV8 racecar driver are on the line. Can he embrace fatherhood, own up to his mistakes and start at the bottom all over again ? On one hand he has Alyssa, Danny, Morgan and Eden as supporters of his dream life and on the other is his father and the other drivers who seem to have their own selfish reasons to keep him down. Can he deal with even his own self doubt and gain the life he deserves ? I have as book hangover from reading until I passed out for love of this story that I needed to know where it would take me. I am sad to see that this will be the last book solely devoted Declan, but I look forward to seeing the untold story of a new character in this page turning series.

What can I say about this final book in this good series?
Declan and Alyssa still have burdens to bare. But Declan has grownup so much and it is showing.
Everything he has ever wanted is finally there for him to grab but will his demons come to the forefront?
Alyssa is planning their future and she has faith in their love. Is there a checkered flag in their future?

So many twists, turns and shockers this book totally blew my mind. I have read all the books in this series and this was my favorite. Loved the ending although it made me feel sad because it took the final book for me to finally like Declan. But there is a sneak peek at the end so I have something to look forward to.

Start with book 1 but get it and get reading.

Declare by Michelle Irwin

Declare is the last book in this series. Michelle has taken you on a rollercoaster of a ride with this series.
I have watch Declan and Alyssa fall apart only to reunite. I've watch Declan grow in to a responsible man/father/boyfriend. It hasn't been easy for him or Alyssa.

If you think this book is going to be just about tying up loose ends your wrong. Declan has everything he wants, he is now a father has the beautiful Alyssa at his side living in Sydney. What could possibly go wrong? "Hunter" he is a nasty piece of work and to me he is jealous of what Declan has and he will try and destroy it all. Can Declan and Alyssa come out of this unscathed, will there wedding go ahead? Will Danny final realize what a mistake he has made? Finally will Declan get to race a ProV8 again. So many questions, but the answers are there in Declare.

I'm gutted this series has come to an end. I've loved reading about Declan and Alyssa. I'm going to miss reading about them, maybe Michelle might do a follow-up of when pheobe is older.

Wow... This final book was epic!! I can't stop smiling after reading this epilogue! 😍😍

"I shifted my gaze from the ceiling and onto her angelic face. My heart expanded looking down over her. She and Phoebe looked so similar when they slept. Both held my heart hostage, and I never wanted that to change."

I have to say again that I find incredibly amazing that the author was able to write 6 books with only Declan's pov. It's so unusual to see series starring the male character pov only, it just gave credit and made everything Declan did or thought really legit. This was one of my favorite parts of this series.

In this final book, Declan and Alyssa are finally solid together, leaving the problems only for the external world.
But someone starts messing with their perfect world.
Hunter was the driver hired to take Declan's place at Sinclair and, because they have so dark history together, Hunter uses everything he can to get under Declan's skin. The difference from then and now is that now Declan has a soft spot. As Hunter continues to harass and say things about Alyssa, Declan starts losing patience, and that's exactly what Hunter wants.
Declan will have to step up, ignore Hunter as best as he can and see the bigger picture. His beautiful family.

As the book goes on, Declan really shows that he is back in their lives for good. They hit some bumps but their love is stronger and they fight tooth and nails for it.

I can't believe this is the end. I loved it so much. Six books filled with so many emotions and situations that the characters are already a part of me. I love when I connect with the story this much, it just makes me love the reading world so much more.
I can't wait to read this novella about them, to get a little more of this great couple! Also, can't wait to start reading Phoebe's story. It was really great that the author created a story of her own. <3

As long as I had Phoebe and Alyssa close to me, everything would be perfect.

Loved it

Wow what an ending. This whole series has been a whirlwind of emotions. Laughing, crying, crying some more, angry and now I’m happy again. Finally it all comes together in the end. The ONLY thing that STILL upsets me is, he tells no one why he was always crashing. THAT just has me upset. But all in all ya can’t have it all.

This was a great ending to the series! Declan has finally gotten his life together, and noting will stop him from taking care of his family and making everything up to his girls for abandoning them when they most needed him. The story was great, I loved all of the characters (especially all the side characters) and Phoebe! I love Phoebe!

Definitely recommend this entire series!

I was a little reluctant to start reading 'Declare'... being the final story for Declan Reede, but not exaclty for the series (if you'd read the book & the note at the very end you would understand) I was a little sad & wanted to prolong it as much as possible. But I couldn't put it off for too long, I really needed to know if Declan & Alyssa would finally get together.... With almost finding myself on Michelle Irwin's doorstep after reading 'Decipher' book 3, OMG that wouldn't have been good... I started a little hesitantly. 'Declare' is book 4 (book 5 in reading order) of Michelle's "Declan Reede: The Untold Story" & what a finish it was for Declan & Alyssa, PLEASE read this series in order for the best reading experience.

Oh my what eggshells can I walk on?? It would have been preferable to the hostility Decaln had to endure whilst staying with Alyssa's parents over the Christmas break.... Michelle really made me feel very uncomfortable, which is what Declan was feeling the whole time he was there, I loved how much emotion was conveyed through Michelle's writing. Declan, Alyssa & Pheobe head back to Sydney in order to start their new jobs & lives together as a family. Declan has his first taste of being a family, of having his girls around him always.

I'll be stopping there, I don't want to ruin ANYTHING for you. I FREAKING loved every second of this book, from the minute I started till the very end I was riveted!! The details with in the book, even told by Declan, helped you understand the personal growth he has gone through since he was a teenager till having Alyssa & Pheobe enter his life. Michelle has somehow channelled Declan to the point where the words not only painted pictures in my mind, but you felt everything he felt too...

This is the last book in the Declan Reede series and it is the one I have been dying for. I finally got all my answers questioned, got to see those who had theirs coming to them finally get it and to see where their relationship ends up.

In the first books Declan never took it well when things got tough or didn't go his way. This always irritated me with him, don't get me wrong I loved him but boy did he make it hard during those times. In this book he has to show everyone that he isn't the same man that he was before. He has to show them that he has grown and matured and also that he's learned his mistakes. He has a lot to prove to a ton of people and his future in racing will depend on that. Not only that but if he goes back to the way he was before he could lose something that is even more important to him... his family.

Michelle has done an outstanding job writing a series that will have you hooked and dying for the next in the series. She wrote characters that you will love and that you will feel emotionally invested on how the story goes. Declan and Alyssa have had a rough journey to finding each other again and building their love to a stable place and Michelle did an amazing job writing about it. My heart broke, my chest ached, the suspense of seeing how it would all turn out, god I there were times I was so mad, I was elated, I felt such a series of emotions while reading this series and this book made it all worth it. I am so happy that I chose to take the time to read this series and I think you may as well.

***Review has been gifted in exchange for my honest opinion and on behalf of Kats Book Promotions/ Katsindiebookblog.*** This is the last in the series but yet, there seems to be more to come in the future by this incredible author! I was left wondering after Decipher how this book was going to go, but I was not disappointed in how the story continued on. Now we have added into the mix of Hunter, Declan’s arch nemesis in the world of racing. Hunter seems to definitely be pushing Declan’s buttons in the worst ways possible. Declan is doing what he can to stay as calm as possible. He’s got a bright future ahead of him with the wedding to his true love Alyssa as well as giving his baby girl the proper last name.
However, with the stunts that Hunter is doing, Declan seems to be slipping up in front of Danny. Declan knows that he can’t get but so many more second chances. Can he prove to his boss that Hunter is the type of person he really is? Or will Danny just give Declan his walking papers yet again?
This story still keeps you on your toes, just like all the other books. You see the love for Declan and Alyssa grows even more, as well as his growing love for his daughter Phoebe. You can even see how, Declan himself, has grown into a great man. Don’t miss out on this final book, each book has proven to get better and better each go around, and this one is the best so far!
