Great illustrations. But missing a clearer time indication. Which sometimes makes it hard to follow the general story. An abundance of names (which is no suprise) bit could be worked out more clearly. Side discriptions help out. The ones beneath the illustrations are unnecessary.

I liked how they put the stories into a historical and political context. I think it was missing one of my favorite stories- but maybe I just don't remember reading it.
