I’d managed to fail at both by fraternizing with the enemy’s brother. Guess I’d followed in my mother’s footsteps by ignoring all the rules when it came to love.
Mom was marrying a man only six years older than me. A man who was also her student. But the biggest surprise that came out of their wedding wasn’t my new stepdad’s academic status or his age.
It was Jack Davis—my stepfather’s best friend.
Jack was the guy who could change the whole game. He was quite possibly my soul mate. But time and circumstance were against us—there was no easy way around it. I was moving back to New York in two weeks and his sister, Aubrey, was the one person my family hated most in this world. How would his sister—the enemy—deal with another Edwards girl claiming what she believed was hers? The idea of letting Jack go crippled me. Would I have to cut ties with the only man I’d ever let into my heart?
This book was definitely full of surprises.. I'm still trying to recover from all the twist and turns that it gave.. Jack and Stella had to overcome a serious turn of events that had me at the edge of my seat, but this author didn't disappoint in the sense of how everything went from sweet and smooth.. to hard and maddening.. but in the end everything turned out the way it was supposed to.. like they say.. love conquers all..
“There weren’t enough tomorrows. We were running out of them and I’d be damned if I would let that get in our way.”
“I need you, Stella. I need you so much I don’t know how I’ll survive even one even one second without you, but I will, because you’re mine. You didn’t know it then, but you were mine from that night at your mother’s wedding. It hasn’t been long and skeptics will be skeptics, but I don’t give a shit what anyone else has to say. I’ve never felt this alive. You’re it for me, baby. Here, there, wherever. I will make this work if it’s the very last thing I ever do. I promise you that.”
Freeing Destiny is told from dual points of view and follows the story of Stella and Jack. Stella had her whole life planned out. She was supposed to be moving to New York in just a few weeks to start a promising new career. What she didn’t plan on was Jack. From the moment she met Jack, she couldn’t deny the sparks and connection between them. He made her want things she never thought of before and had her questioning all of her carefully laid out plans. The more time that Stella and Jack spent together, the more she realized that they just didn’t have enough time….They needed more time. So, Stella decides to take a leap of faith. She’s going to delay her plans and take a chance on Jack. All is going well, but as their time together is inching closer to an end, these two will be hit with a shocking twist…..Jack’s evil sister, Aubrey has returned. Aubrey has caused enough problems for Stella’s family and her return spells nothing but disaster. Will Jack and Stella get the HEA they so desperately want? Or will Aubrey find a way to destroy the one thing that makes Jack happy?
Freeing Destiny was a quick and easy read for me. I was pulled in from the very first page. I fell in love with Stella’s character almost instantly. She was smart and determined; super easy to connect with and you could really feel the love that she had for her family. Jack entering the picture made her question everything and made her come out of her carefully planned box. I adored Jack. Yes, wasn’t perfect, but once he met Stella, he knew she was the one. He knew her time in California was limited, but that didn’t stop him wanting to see if what he and Stella had was real or not. Stella was so unlike the women that he was used to. She real and had an innocence about her that just drew him in. The two of them together was like an unstoppable force. They knew they shouldn’t get attached, but their feelings were so strong that they couldn’t deny what was happening to them. I loved watching the two of them fall in love and try to navigate their way through things.
Freeing Destiny is the second book in the Fate series by Faith Andrews, but it can totally be read as a stand-alone. This book can easily be read in one sitting and keeps you captivated the entire time. Freeing Destiny is a wonderful book about first love, hope, courage, and taking a leap of faith. This story is well written and has no shortage of laughs, romance, steam and of course, no story would be perfect without a little drama. And I gotta tell you, this book did have some exciting twists and turns. Those twists had me holding my breath right until the very end.
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
"Stop fighting it, Stella. There are certain things in life that happen for a reason. You and I are going to happen - no matter what the fucking purpose or result entails."
Faith brings us another beautiful love story with Freeing Destiny. Stella and Jack find something very unique, something that not a lot of people are lucky enough to share. The minute these 2 connected at the wedding of her mom and his best friend, they both knew that they were done for, even though love was not on the radar for either one. But sometimes destiny, and fate, has other ideas in mind for you.
This is such a lovely story. Stella is such a sweet character, she's kind and caring, she has an innocence about her, but she's also strong and determined. Jack, oh my, what do I say about Jack?!? I flove him! I've never used that word before so that should tell you something! He's smart, undeniably sexy, patient, caring, generous...he is everything you could ever imagine wanting in a man. The relationship that develops between them is so special, so extraordinary, so pure. There's an instant attraction that runs deeper than just the physical- it's like something just clicked into place for each of them the moment they met.
"That's what you do to me, Stella. You make time stand still, every second counts, every moment means something."
Freeing Destiny shows us that although you may have your life mapped out, everything planned down to the last detail, you need to be open to unexpected chances, unexpected changes...to open yourself up to all of life's possibilities. You never know what might be around that next corner.
I received a copy of this in exchange for an honest review. This book was amazing! It started up right where Feel Again ended! I hated to see Feel Again so I am so glad that Ms. Andrews continued the story and added so much more with Freeing Destiny! If I was able to rate both of these books higher I most definitely would! So for anyone out there that is looking for an amazing love story, well 2 amazing love stories, and a story about second chances and destiny, read the entire Fate Series by Ms. Andrews. It's heart warming, hopeful, at times sad, suspenseful....all of that and also a book that makes you feel! The characters of the book are so well developed and the story line couldn't be more perfect! If you want to read a 5 star series and know what one is suppose to be like, read The Fate Series! Kudos Ms. Andrews and thank you, I am honored to be chosen to read and review these books. It certainly wouldn't hurt my feelings is you were to write a book 3 to this series and I would be honored to read and review it also!
Freeing Destiny is another fantastic book from Faith Andrews! I loved everything about this story - the extra glimpse we got of Caleb and Gabby from Feel Again, the amazing and unexpected connection between Jack and Stella that turned into love, and the twist from the past that didn't make it smooth sailing for anyone.
Jack and Stella make you laugh, swoon, and hope against hope they can beat the odds. Even though its a continuation of Feel Again, it can most definitely be read as a standalone (and guaranteed you'll want to read Feel Again if you haven't!)
What am I going to do now?!? I've finished all of Faith's books and now I feel lost! Holy crap Freeing Destiny was one hell of a follow up to Feel Again! I fell in love with these characters a little over a week ago when I picked up Feel Again and then fell in love even more this time around! And especially with Stella and Jack! Jack, Jack, Jack, he is utter perfection in a guy. So if there is a real life Jack out there this girl is looking for you! And Stella, Stella is so completely beautiful on the inside and out and just together they are perfect. Flame and Sunshine, there's no other explanation then that! (You'll have to read the book to understand!) there's romance, suspense, happiness, and crazy with a capital C!! This book taught me so much about how great love can be and I'll be carrying that into the real world with me! I'm sad to have finished this read because I can't wait for more!!!
"How can something so right be so wrong" Stella is strong and has a plan she's very smart and she has her future planned. Then came Jack oh swoonworthy sexy Jack and these two have something with each other they both have never experienced. When the past resurfaces well you need to read this book!
Aww, I loved Jack and Stella's story!! With every great story, there us a support system, angst, maybe even a twist, and this story has those things and more! Jack and Stella have a connection right from the start and it is great to see the relationship build in the time they have together!!
Freeing Destiny is the second book in the Fate series. If you read Feel Again, this is Jack and Stella’s story. As with every other book of Ms. Andrews I loved it. I always look forward to her books. I love the emotions she brings out in me and she creates such amazing and beautiful characters, and at times may throw one or two curveballs into the story as well. Freeing Destiny is a beautiful love story about taking a chance on love, regardless of the circumstances and the fears.
Stella is witnessing her mother’s happiness with a man for the first time in a long, since her father passed away. While at her mother’s wedding her eyes meet with Jack’s, her new step father’s best friend. From the moment she mets him she knows that there is something about him, she feels the pull towards him. But there are so many reasons why her and Jack cannot be togehter no matter how much she feels the spark. One very big reason being that Stella is moving back to New York in two weeks to start on the path that she paved for herself. Starting a relationship now is out of the question.
Jack has never been the type to want to settle down and get married. But when he sees the beautiful Stella from across the room everything changes for him. He is attracted to her but it is so much more than that. He feels this pull towards her and he does not want to let go. He wants to know her and spend time with her. He knows that their time together is limited but he doesn’t care. When their time is up he will do what it takes to make it work. When it comes to Stella he is all in, even if it means risking his heart. But that doesn’t mean that Stella feels the same way. She has her own reservations regardless of how she feels about him. When Stella finally agrees to spend more time wth Jack and to see where it goes, what will happen when it is time for her to leave. Will they both be left with a broken heart or will they find a way to make it work?
I loved this book. Jack and Stella just fit so perfectly together. Jack is hot and sexy but he is also a very loving and caring man who was very patient with Stella. He understood her fears and why she was afraid to get close to him but he just knew in his heart that they were meant to be together.
Stella is the type of person that doesn’t just fly by the seat of her pants. She has a plan and Jack never fit into that plan. But she knows that she is falling fast and hard for this man and has some very tough decisions to make. Decisions that may not just affect her but sometimes love is worth taking the risk for. When Stella is with Jack she feels it in her heart, how much she wants to be with this man. And sometimes your path in life takes a detour and you have to decide which way to go. And for Jack and Stella this was their biggest hurdle.
I loved watching these two fall in love and loved the moments that they shared together. Jack was just so loving and such the perfect man. Once again Faith Andrews made me fall in love with characters that I did not want to let go of. There were a few moments that completely surprised me and I wondered how it would play out. But in the end she left me with a huge cheesey smile on my face because the ending (sigh) was just perfect.
I also loved that we had the chance to see the supporting characters that we loved from the first book. It was great to see Caleb and Gabriella, and Nina and her boyfriend Ryan. I love the relationship that Stella has with both her mother and sister. She has such a strong bond with the both of them and I loved the touching moments between them.
Once again Faith has created a beautiful love story. Stella and Jack’s story was so touching. To see these two fall in love and decide to take a chance on love even though they were so unsure of how it would all work out in the end will touch your heart. Jack and Stella found a love they never expected but sometimes the risk is worth it and ends up changing everything in the best way possible. Another fantastic job!!
Freeing Destiny is book two in the Fate series by Author Faith Andrews. I have absolutely, without a doubt, LOVED this series. So, to get more was such a wonderful treat. It made all my senses alive and my appetite ready.
"When you love someone the way Caleb loves your mother, everything else melts away."
Caleb and Gabriella are finally getting married. Since Feel Again, we have waited for this moment. It is the culmination of tragedy and triumph that has brought them to this point. Jack is the swoon-worthy best man, Caleb's confidant and friend. He is also stunningly handsome and coming to a turning point in his life.
"You're mysterious and beautiful and just one look at you makes me want to peel apart your layers and find out who you are."
Stella is the daughter of Gabriella. She is a picture of beauty and grace with some special secrets to boot. She is excited about the next steps she is taking in her life, nothing holding her back; until Jack.
"Sometimes the chase was better than the victory, but with Stella-the victory was definitely what I craved."
Do you know what it feels like when you have a really good friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, but as soon as you do, it was like no time was ever missed? That was what it was like for me in the opening pages of Freeing Destiny. Told in dual points of view, this book had all the feels and a touch of taboo, considering Jack's relation to a certain psycho-chic. I thoroughly enjoyed Stella's inner dialogue and the fact that she craved Jack, not just liked him, but CRAVED him. She also had this old-fashioned notion of love that was endearing. Being able to experience this love journey through Jack's additional point of view added depth and a magical pull that gently tugged me along, holding me in his clutches. He was charming and kind, but loved with a fierce and protective love. The family ties that these characters shared allowed for unexpected moments, some tearful, some happy, and some crazy and filled with angst. It further served to make an already amazing and sensual love story more unforgettable. I can’t get enough of these characters, their stories, and this series. Another stunning addition by Author Faith Andrews.
Faith Andrews continues the journey of the Edwards women in Freeing Destiny ( Fate #2). This time Gabby’s pragmatic daughter Stella is at the center of the story, finding herself caught up in a fast moving and what is supposed to be a short term romance. Jack, her new step fathers best friend is taken with Stella and sets out to charm her.
While I felt lukewarm about Feel Again, Fate #1, Freeing Destiny was just a little sweeter to me. I liked seeing these two fall in love, knowing they were facing a separation, they were enjoying their time together, approaching it day to day. The story is delivered at a steady pace and through both Stella and Jacks points of view. They both believe they are in charge if their feelings are are able to choose how involved, how entangled their hearts become, they allow themselves to dream about the possibility.
I like the young love and getting swept away in the romance. I could feels Stella’s excitement with the connection she feels to him. Stella is inexperienced in all thing love and so gets rightly caught up in all things Jack. He does a sweet job getting under her skin. I didn’t feel like i got to know Jack all that well, but we are privy to his thoughts and feelings on Stella which gives us a fair idea who he is.
Once again, Jack’s sister Aubrey appears in the story to play the villain and in her crazy mind she creates reasons to feed her vendetta against the Edwards family. When she see’s the opportunity to exact her revenge the pace of the story picks up and Stella and Jacks real challenge is presented. They thought the impending 3000 plus mile separation was the toughest challenge they would face, but this isn’t so when Aubrey is around.
Freeing Destiny is a solid 4 star read for me. The mystery aspect of the plot is a bit predictable but I really enjoyed the feel of young and first love between these characters.
*I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review
Hooooly Crap! Freeing Destiny was simply amazing! When I first started reading Stella and Jack's story I had no idea what to expect. But as I kept flying through the words more and more and more in love I fell. Everything just flowed together perfectly and everything that happened made this story that much more. This wasn't just a romance but it had a little added mystery as well, and I love a good mystery. Family drama, too. Who doesn't love a good spit and spat war? Jack is full of so much whit and he's Hella funny.... And Stella she's just perfect for him.
When Stella's mom gets remarried Stella is excited but also scared, scared that life won't be the same. She missed her dad SO much. But meeting a man at the wedding calms her fears, the bad thing, though, Stella and her family are all moving back to their roots in 2 weeks. Back to New York, halfway across the continent. Which sick because there's something about this new man that is reeling her in. Stella is the level headed one in the family, but not when it comes to this man. A man who makes her take the jumps and steps in a new direction. A direction she needs to find herself. Destiny might not always hit at the best of times but it's the way you work it out that makes it right..
The title, Freeing Destiny, couldn't be any more perfect for this twist of fate romance. The whit, the laughter, the heartache, the drama, the aggrivation of certain people, this book had it all. And I absolutely adored it!!
This story pretty much starts off where Feel Again ended so there are lots of glimpses of Gabby & Caleb as they begin their life as a married couple. However, this is Stella & Jack's story. They meet at the wedding seeing as Jack is Caleb's best friend and best man.
Stella was a sweet girl and I was very surprised at her innocence and lack of experience, when it came to men. Although, the fact that she needed to live in the same city as her whole family kind of makes more sense after that. Most young adults want to go off and spread their wings but this family seem to want to stick together.
Jack was a nice guy with a bit of a reputation. The whole insta-love intensity he felt for Stella was a big over the top for me initially. He is a very passionate guy though and once he begins to feel things for Stella he is not afraid to express just how much he cares for her. This is what happens when you finally meet 'the one' - you become who you are truly meant to be when it is right.
'This was the real thing. Something I'd been unintentionally searching for all my life."
The ‘villain’ of the story added a suspense factor that turned the story on its head for a while. Nothing like a bit of drama to make the road to happiness a bit rocky!
This had a fairly predictable storyline which can be a common recipe in romance novels. A very quick read with not too much angst but just the right amount of sweet to make it enjoyable.
I absolutely love Faith Andrews and her books. After meeting both Stella and Jack in book 1 of the series I couldn’t wait to read their story. Faith writes such dynamic characters in a way that they become a part of your world and you can’t help falling in love with them and becoming enraptured in their story, and Jack and Stella were no exception. This was such a sweet and moving love story that pulls you in from the beginning and doesn’t let you go even after you are finished.
I loved Stella and Jack together. Their relationship and feelings develop quickly because of the circumstances they have. She’s getting ready to move to New York in two weeks. Their connection is both physical and emotional. The spark between the two grew quickly and they fit so well together. You will fall In love right along with them. There is a lot standing in their way and Jack and Stella must decide whether or not to let fate take its course.
I loved this book. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves a romance that moves you and has characters with depth that you will easily fall in love with. Go One-Click!!! I can’t wait to see what Faith has in store for us next!!
Stella met Jack at her mother's wedding. This was the worst possible time for her to meet someone she was interested in. She was moving to NY and starting a career with her sister. She didn't have time for a relationship. When she met Jack and spent a few days with him though, all bets were off. They had an easy chemistry and before long they were both head over heals. Stella decides to stay in California a little bit longer to see where this might lead. Unfortunately, Jack's sister, Aubrey, makes a return home while Stella is with Jack. Aubrey hates Stella with a passion. She will go to great lengths to see Stella out of Jack's life.
This is a great story of love persevering. What Stella and Jack have is magic. Loved watching their relationship build and them finding a love of a lifetime.
Stella Edwards had her life planned out. She had big dreams and a plan to obtain them. Jack Davis was a habitual playboy who didn't know what hit him.
After meeting at Stella's mother's wedding to Jack's best friend the two find an instant chemistry that they can't deny. With time against them and plans already set in motion Jack and Stella must decide if the plans and paths they have are what they really want or if taking a chance and allowing destiny to take over is worth the risk.
Freeing Destiny takes you on a journey of hope, courage, self discovery, love, fear, and faith. Is love strong enough to handle the obstacles thrown at it? Are some plans worth changing? Freeing Destiny is a must read.
I was given an ARC for an honest review. This book was wonderfully written, telling the story of Stella and Jack. Stella meets Jack when her mother marries Jack's best friend, their romance starts to blossom from the first meeting. In every relationship there are ups and downs, but can these two over the obstacles that seem to come their way. If you want to read a book that has a little of everything in it, then you need to pick up a copy of Freeing Destiny by Faith Andrews, believe me you won't want to miss this one!
Where to start? I absolutely loved Stella and Jacks story. These two captured my heart from the beginning. I loved Jacks honesty and his ability to see what was right in front of him. He had no shame in his love for Stella. Stella, she's sweet and understanding and determined to live out her well thought out plans before she met Jack. These two definitely had their obstacles but wouldn't let them get between them.
Such a sweet book with a touch of crazy which I was addicted to. Let's just say that I LOVE to hate the Crazy...
Such a fantastic book by Faith, yet again! This book was seriously amazing. Like. I think I'm going to read it again, as soon as I can. Stella & Jack follow a crazy journey to find love, With all the twists, turns, and a psycho, can they make it work? Read this super Amazing book and find out!
Faith is amazing! This book captured my heart from the very start to the very end. I wanted this book to continue on and on. I LOVE the characters in this series!!
From just the prologue of this book, I knew without a doubt that Freeing Destiny by Faith Andrews would be a book I wouldn’t soon forget. That very first page, and that very first chapter really, had me so beyond ready for what this book would give me, and I knew I would love it. I just knew. Sometimes you just know when you start a book that you’re going to love it, that it’s going to give you everything you want and need, and that it’s going to blow you away with everything it has…and Freeing Destiny by Faith Andrews did that. It did all of that and so much more.
By the end of this book I was so enraptured with this soul touching story, so in love with these amazing well rounded characters, and so emotionally touched by this story, that I truly didn’t want it to end.
When I tell you I loved this book, I mean that I LOVED this book. It was beautiful, full of heart touching meaning, and bursting with more thoughtfully crafted feeling and emotion than you can shake a stick at. I felt every word with these characters, I lived and breathed it right along with them, and I fell harder than I thought I possibly could for Jack and Stella. From beginning to end I was in full on, swept off my feet, let me feel it all, love with these characters and their breathtakingly emotional story.
Now I have to say I wasn’t surprised one little bit that I loved this book so much, or that I felt so deeply connected to it, as this is a book by Faith Andrews. I have read every single one of this talented author’s books, and she never fails to deliver a story that will make me feel everything, will pull at my heart more times than I can count, and will literally give me it all in one meaningful, fulfilling, and mesmerizing package. Freeing Destiny was no different, and I think it just might be my favorite of Faith’s books to date. There was just something so real, so magical, and so destined about what Jack and Stella were sharing, and they both touched every part of my heart through Faith Andrews’ stellar writing.
Freeing Destiny was one of the most emotionally touching stories I’ve read. It was full of beautiful meaning, had a powerful love story of two authentic and amazing characters, and had the perfect balance of fate, destiny, and romance that you will not forget anytime soon.
The events of Freeing Destiny follow Jack and Stella, two people who share an instantaneous connection that literally sparks off the page, as they try to see what could happen if they give into the fate and destiny and take that proverbial leap of faith. From the moment these two’s eyes meet, they can’t look away, and more than that, they don’t want to. They can’t stop looking and thinking and wanting to know more about one another… There’s just a slight problem: she’s moving away to New York in just two weeks, and his sister is the one who tried to destroy her mother’s life and happiness. The odds seem to be stacked against these two, yet they can’t seem to stop wanting to discover the possibilities of what they could share together.
She’s cautious and guarded with her heart, and he’s bound and determined to find his way into it. He’s a man who’s never believed in settling down, yet one look at her changes everything he’s ever thought before. She’s never been one to take a chance on love or deviate from her plan, yet one look at him changes it all. He soon needs her like his next breath, and he doesn’t want to let her go. Just as quickly, she’s questioning everything she thought she knew about what she wanted and what comes next, and she can’t stop falling hard and fast for him.
Even though circumstances are against them, and there are quite a few things threatening to tear them apart, Jack and Stella decide to take that leap of faith and embark on a journey together that will change their lives in ways they never expected.
Freeing Destiny is their unforgettable story about the amazing, beautiful, and breathtaking things that can happen when you take a chance, risk it all, and see what destiny and fate and love can give you, if you only open yourself and your heart up to it.
I am telling you now that their story will touch you on every emotional level, and you will feel and experience every ounce of this book with them because of Faith Andrew’s vivid writing. She puts you in this book, heart first with them, through every moment of romance, every touch of heat, and through every instance that will break your heart just a bit. She lets you be there with them through it all, through every twist and jaw dropping turn, as Jack and Stella see if they can make it all work through everything that comes their way. The level of emotional connection you feel towards their characters will make this book mean everything to you when you read it, and it’ll allow you to fall so hopelessly for the two of them, as they do the same with one another.
You will be hoping with all you have through every page that these two can find a way to make it all work because you will know with every beat of your heart and every breath on your lips that these two are destined to be together.
It’s pretty suffice to say that I loved Jack and Stella’s characters with everything that I had. I loved that Jack was just a good guy, and that you knew that through every page. His tenacity, his charm, and his true feelings for Stella had me loving that man in a heartbeat. The more I got of him, the more I knew that he was man doing all that he could to be with the woman he needed. Stella’s character was so easy to relate to on every level, and I found her to be very real, so so sweet and good natured, and a genuine person with a heart of gold. I loved that she took everything that came her way in this book in stride. She never wavered and she fought with all she had, and I have a serious love and mad respect for her after reading this book.
Like I said, the connection those two share is out of this world, and it will soon find itself into your heart. The sparks literally fly between Jack and Stella, and those sparks continue to fire and dazzle and mesmerize you with all that they have. Their relationship might go from 0 to 60 in no time (much to Jack and Stella’s surprise, I might add), it might break few rules, and it might have these two questioning everything they thought they wanted and knew, but their connection and their need for one another can’t be denied one little bit.
Every moment of questioning and wonder they have, every fear and doubt that enters their mind, every leap of faith they take with their heart, every single bit of feeling they share with everything that comes their way, and every moment you get with them that makes you blush or melt or break or fall is worth it because what Jack and Stella share is everything. It’s fated, it’s destiny, and it’s full of effervescent spark and magic that can’t be denied no matter what way you look at it.
Faith Andrews not only wrote a love story that I felt and embraced every word of, she gave me such a fulfilling reading experience that wove together superb supporting characters, a fantastically crafted and paced story, and the best twists and turns you don’t see coming.
It’s no secret that this series is one of my favorites, so it felt a bit like coming home to be with all these wonderful and distinctive characters again. The connections that all of these characters share is real, deeply felt, and weaves its way through this story in such meaningful ways. I really can’t tell you enough how much I enjoyed feeling that connection along with everything that Jack and Stella were sharing because it made me feel like I was a part of this story and this family.
Freeing Destiny is about love, life, and taking chances. It’s about what can happen when you give yourself over to fate and destiny, and the beautiful, emotional, and life changing things that can come your way when you take that leap of faith and give that love and feeling a chance to grow. It’s about believing in what you feel, and having the fight and tenacity and determination to see it all the way through even when it’s tough or scary or even when it means going into the unknown.
It’s about finding that one person who changes you, who changes what you think and feel and want. It’s about finding that person who changes everything, and how that everything sets you on the path you were always meant to be on, and even though that path might be bumpy and different and you might not know what’s around every corner, it is oh so beyond worth it.
And really, in the end, this book is about love. True, soul touching, deeply felt, can’t get out of bed because it means leaving my love, love.
Getting to experience that level of love and adoration, along with everything else Faith Andrews so phenomenally creates and crafts makes Freeing Destiny a book you need in your life and your heart this instant. This book will move you, touch every part of your heart and soul, and in the end you’ll just be grateful you had the chance to experience everything that it so breathtakingly and beautifully gave you with Jack and Stella.
Freeing Destiny is yet again another amazing book written by Faith. The characters are well written, and the story is just captivating. Even though I wouldn’t say it’s a necessity to read Feel Again before reading this, I do highly recommend it. We fell in love with Caleb and Gabriella in the first book and you see such heartache Gabriella had to endure to get her happy ending. Now, her kids are grown and they are happily married.
Freeing Destiny is Stella’s, one of Gabriella’s twin daughters, story and I just fell in love even more with this series. Everyone around Stella is in love, from her sister to her mom. Stella is one of those sweet girls that you immediately adore and want to see her get her Prince Charming.
Then, along comes Jack, Caleb’s best friend. After Gabriella and Caleb’s wedding, Jack and Stella begin spending time together. Right from the start, you can feel their connection. It’s like two souls connecting as one. Two peas in a pod. But, time is not on their side at all.
Stella is leaving soon to follow her dream across country, never knowing she would find her soul mate in Jack. I simply adored Jack. When he falls in love, he falls hard. He’s sweet, sexy, and such a lovable character. The more time they spend together, the more time they want. Will Stella change her plans? I’ll never tell.
As their story continues and just when you think they’re getting their happily ever after, Faith throws in such an amazing twist! It’s definitely not what I was expecting and I think that’s what is so addicting about this book. The way Faith draws in characters from the previous book adds some suspense to Jack and Stella’s lives and that’s another reason I couldn’t put this book down. But, as Stella finds herself in a precarious situation, you still feel the bond she and Jack have. Actually, their love grows even more.
“You make the world-my world-a brighter place just by being in it.” - Jack
The relationship between Jack and Stella is just beautiful. I felt myself giggling like a schoolgirl because I was feeling so happy for Stella seeing her get her man. Jack is adorable and I love the friendship he has with Caleb. They are more like brothers instead of best friends and you can really feel their friendship deepening even more with Stella dating him and him being involved more in their family. Stella is the type of girl everyone needs as a best friend. I have loved this family in these two books and I’m really sad to see it end. Don't get me wrong, I’m glad they all find their happiness but I’m also going to miss them. It’s been sad but yet a happy series to see this family overcome such grief and finally get the life they all deserve.
If you want a series that will bring out many emotions and make you fall in love with each character, then this is one book you need to read. Faith has done it again and I’m still a forever fan. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next and I recommend this 5 star book.

I was looking forward to finally being able to read on of Faith Andrews books and let me tell you she did not disappoint. I loved Stella and Jack's story! Faith had me wanting so much more of these characters and I couldn't put it down. This book is sweet, loving, and sexy with a side of revenge.
Jack sexy, charming bachelor not looking for love or to be tied down. He likes to have fun.
Stella is the sweet, innocent bombshell who has her whole life planned out. She knows where she's going and doesn't need a man to get her there.
Do you believe in love at first sight?
Jack didn't, that is, until he laid eyes on Stella at her moms and his best friends wedding!
"All eyes should have been focused on the bride, but I couldn't deflect my attention from Stella."
When Jack and Stella meet, there is an instant connection and sparks fly. No matter how hard Stella tries to ignore the pull in order to keep Jack at arms length and in the friends zone it was inevitable. They have an undeniable chemistry that makes you want to keep reading to see where they go and how they get there.
"You're mysterious and beautiful and just one look at you makes me want to peel apart your layers and find out who you are."
When Jacks sister, Aubrey, comes back into their lives after being gone for months, she is hurt. The people, the family, who are supposed to love her had abandoned her. She turns to revenge. I won't lie…I wanted to throat punch Aubrey on a few occasions. I won't say much more on this because I don't want to spoil it. I will say though, the reason her family pretty much "abandons" her is all explained in the book.
I love the banter and the obvious love and closeness between Stella and her twin sister, Nina. I adored the both of them. They are both funny together and very protective of each other.
"He's freaking hot, in that buff-and-scruffy-but-knows-how-to-rock-a-tux kind of way. Too bad he's related to that twit in a can."
This book can be read as a standalone. Yes, some things may be ruined for book one if you read this first, but you can read this and not get lost. Everything is explained in the book.
This story was beautifully written and so full of love, hope, and taking chances! Faith is truly a gifted author and I can't wait to read more of her work!
"You are so beautiful, Stella. Thank you." "For what?" "For you. You're a gift."
Oh my swoon! The magic that Faith Andrews started (after breaking my heart) in Feel Again is back and better than ever. The opening of Freeing Destiny grabbed my attention and kept it through every twist and bump in the road. I loved getting to catch up with Gabby and Caleb and witness their love in the aftermath of all that they had been through. It was the celebration of their joy that caused Stella, Gabby's daughter, to start to question all of her plans.
I really liked Stella. She has this almost shy self confidence about her that draws you in. You can't help being enamored by her kindness, innocence and foot in mouth syndrome. Some of the things that came out of her mouth had me in stitches. Now, if I liked Stella, then I LOVED me some Jack. His patience and sweetness and sexiness and just good guyness made me fall for him as fast and hard as Stella did. There was one moment that really sealed the deal for me- when Jack told Stella no- and his reason why had me swooning my socks off. And Stella too! They are drawn to each other and although they can't quite explain how or why they feel this way after only knowing each other for such a short amount of time. I loved that Jack was there to walk beside Stella in her journey of self discovery. But he learned a few things about himself along the way as well. They knew going in that their time together was going to be limited but they can't deny what they feel. So, they decide they'll to do whatever it takes to make it work. They knew it wasn't going to be easy, and when someone catches wind of their happiness, things really spiral out of control.
WOW! This twist showed a facet to Faith Andrews' writing that will be a completely new experience for her seasoned readers. AND I loved every heart racing, jaw dropping moment of it. There were so many ways that situation could've played out and I was reading furiously to see how it would all play out. Freeing Destiny had a great mix of everything- humor, sexiness, sweetness and danger. The balance was perfect and I felt it all along with Jack and Stella. The hope, fear, happiness, desperation, anger and love- most of all the love. Trust me when I say that you will be so engrossed in Jack and Stella's story you won't realize that you've reached the end until you try to flip the page and there is nothing left to read!
What do you do when you have your life mapped out and you meet someone that makes you question all of those plans? That's the issue that Stella Edwards runs into when she meets Jack at her mother's wedding. Stella, 21, and her entire family are on the verge of moving from California to New York when she and Jack make an instant connection. They have two weeks to see where things go. I loved watching Jack and Stella together! Yes, they had an instant connection with each other, but it wasn't smooth sailing in the beginning. There were lots of stops and starts as they both tried to guard themselves while falling in love at the same time. I appreciated that Jack was truly one of the good guys and would own up to bad behavior. It didn't take long for both characters to realize that what they had was more than just an attraction - the question then was what to do about it. Stella had a moment early on that I just loved: "San Francisco was my current home. New York was my soon-to-be home. Jack was my heart's home." I think I even fell a little bit in love watching how Jack treated Stella. From the reason behind his nickname for her to how he approached the physical part of their relationship telegraphed that this was it for him and I really rooted for them to figure things out. The cast of characters in Freeing Destiny all appear in the prior book, Feeling Again, but you can easily read this book on it's own. Having said that - I would suggest reading Feeling Again first. Some of the interplay between Stella, Jack, and the supporting cast makes more sense with the back story from the first book in the series. This is an incredibly well written book that covers a lot of emotional ground. You have a young woman working to find her place in the world and a couple trying to figure out if a relationship will work. There is the interplay between sisters who have done everything together and the desire to not disappoint a parent. Just with all of that you have a great story that you don't want to put down. Ms. Andrews then surprises us with an element of suspense when Jack's sister, Aubrey, makes an appearance and proceeds to rip everyone's world apart. Freeing Destiny was a book I was looking forward to reading and it definitely lived up to expectations.
There are those books that you can read and put down all at the same time. Go one with your life and come back and pick up where you left off. Then there are the books that you can't put down. You read while the water is boiling while you make dinner and when you are at a stop light. I would put Freeing Destiny in that later category. I had never read a Faith Andrews book before, and I can say this will not be my last. I did not realize until I was halfway through the book that it was part of a series, but it can be read as a standalone very easily.
I think that Stella and Jack may be in the top 10 of my favorite characters. Stella has not had a bad life per say, she had to deal with her dads death, but she took it in stride and became a better person for it. She is in her last year of college and is moving to start a fashion line with her twin sister. At the wedding of her mom to her younger man husband (Cougar!!) she meets Jack, who is the best friend of her new stepfather. To say that it was lust at first site is pretty accurate.
Now you know that there has to be the catalyst in the story, and that would be Jack's evil sister Aubrey. This is the part where I wondered if there was another book as I was a little confused, but the book is pretty good at describing what happened in the other book. It seems that Aubrey has it out for Stella and her twin and pretty much blames them for all of the bad in her life. Aubrey is written brilliantly and you know that you are going to love to hate her and list her as one of those characters that you can't miss.
"Stop fighting it, Stella. There are certain things in life that happen for a reason. You and I are going to happen - no matter what the fucking purpose or result entails."
Jack and Stella have their ups and downs and that is what you want in a good story. It makes you think that even if you have your life mapped up, you never know when life is going to throw you that curve ball and make you wonder if what you thought you wanted is actually what you really want in the end.
