H was OTT possessive. I loved that. He was awesome.
Some of the writing seemed a little...immature maybe?? Or needs a better choice of words. I mean come on...

I love this series and will definitely continue. Hopefully the next one is a somewhat better. I'm also getting a little tired of the whole BBW angle...I don't mind reading stories with h's like that but it seems there's a lot of emphasis put on how the h looks and how she's been so mistreated over the years because of her weight. I love how the H's are possessive and love a full-figured woman but I'm starting to not like how much her body image is talked about..but that's just me.

Waaah, I simply love this series. And the best part is that it's been released sooner than the planned 30th October (the release date according to Goodreads).
The story starts with Alivia giving up on men and even thinking of getting artificially inseminated, since all her past lovers and dates turned out to be a disaster and extremely unfulfilling (she says she's never had a orgasm durring sex and now ain't that a sad thing). Thankfully for her, Garry is searching for a mate Karel desperately needs, since his mother is dying and her dying wish is to meet her son's mate. After yet another failed date, that almost results in Alivia being drugged and raped, Alivia and Karel give their passion a chance to grow into something more.
I loved Karel, he's the perfect mate for Alivia. Since the first time he saw her, he knew she was his mate and did everything to get her, even if that meant eavesdroping on Alivia pleasuring herself while thinking of him.
Of course, the poor fella couldn't have just stood outside her door and let her with her BOB do all the work, no, not if he could provide it himself. I was great to see him take things into his own hands. ;)
As for Alivia, she's had a painful past but she didn't let that define who she was. She loved being in her skin and when you combine that with a great personality, you get one very likable character.
I'm not sure who I liked more, Karel or Alivia. They were both perfect for each other and a great match.
In the Roar has mystery, action, romance and a great epilogue. Can't wait to read the next story. :D

~ 4.5 In the Roar Stars ~
Note: All the books in this series are quick reads with very little plot and an insta-match. They are great if your looking for a little steam and some sexy shifters for an afternoon break.
This PDA series has become one of my favorites that I look forward too. I need something every now and then that does not have a deep plot, that I can just sit back enjoy the short and sweet times.
Karel and Alivia where great together. I really enjoyed that Karel did not pressure Alivia, giving her the time she needed to let her head catch up with her heart. I also love that we got to return to alien plant that the shifters live on. This one was a little different then the previous PDA books in that Karel did not do anything stupid to get his women upset with him. We also got a little action, trickery, and mystery with our plot in that a bad guy is trying to hurt a previous couple. Gerri is still as fun as every with her matchmaking skills and I can’t forget the hot and steamy sex… oh boy!
The only thing that I am getting a little tired of is the BBW angle. Yes, I know this is a BBW series. It just seems that the author is putting to much emphasis on how the heroine's look and how they are mistreated over the years because of it. I don’t mind reading stories with heroine's like this, but the emphasis is getting to over powering and I’m starting to not like how much her body image is talked about. I do love the possessiveness of the hero’s and how they love their full-figured woman.
In the Roar was a fun read from begging to end. I feel in love from the first to the last page and can’t wait for the next installment to hit the bookstores.

Well hot damn, what can I say? This books was absolutely fantastic!
We taken on a journey as a shifter instantly connects with a human, his mate. The human gets taken to a alien planet to interact with his world and from there so much happens. After being belittled by other humans for her weight and looks she expects everyone to be like that, shifters included but she soon realises they’re not.
Reading about the torment the main character gets for the way she looks and her weight is heartbreaking but she loves how she looks and it’s absolutely beautiful.
I haven’t read many paranormal books but it’s always a treat when I do especially with this one. A Jaguar shifter is definitely new for me, I loved how fiercely protective shifters are of their mates. It’s been fun reading this novella. It’s my first book from this author and I’m glad I chose this book.

The Bottom Line
Yep I keep trying. Good idea, still a bit shallow but I liked Karel as a hero, precious little of him really being hot and possessive. Subplot with dying mother was a new twist, even if still not well drawn. I keep coming back for the potential and hoping one day it pays off.

A need for family, babies, and a mother's love. Karel is the chief security officer for Alyx; however when his mother falls ill he must find his mate before she dies. Alivia wants babies and the love of a family. Gerri overhears Alivia talking about how horrible men are and that she should just get a frozen pop. Omg I loved it. The author is superb at writing these stories. The last few books are out of this world literally.
I've loved that these books are part of the PDA series, buy you can read them as standalone, but once you read one you are going to need the next. These are super growly & extremely panty melting sexy. Be warned though, they are super addictive with incredible hot sexy scenes to make you drool.
Karel, a jaguar & the head of security for Alyx the Alion King is desperate to find his mate, so he calls the brilliant Gerri Wilder, the head of the Paranormal Dating Agency who said she will help him.

I was so happy that Karel got his own story! And it definitely didn't disappoint! This was very fast paced, sexy-as-hell, with some suspense and mystery thrown in. Another amazing read from Milly Taiden.
I loved Liv. She's very feisty and spirited. She could hold her own and didn't let anyone boss her around. I really felt for her and her struggles.
Karel.. so sexy and alpha. I love how protective he is of Liv and he just knows that they belong.
I'm in love with the new spin on the PDA series going to another world. The imagery is so vivid that I feel like I'm there with the characters. I cant wait to see what happens next!

Alivia Vela is a confident curvy woman. She loves who she is curves and all. Her family not so much. Alivia has had bad luck when it came to dating men. The men she dated expected her to be thankful that they gave her the time of day. Alivia is lucky that Karel was there to save her on her last date.
Karel was not to prideful to ask for Gerri Wilder’s help to set him up with his mate. Karel asking her for her services seemed to be the last thing she expected. Gerri jumped at the chance when she found his reasoning for rushing in finding a mate.
Alivia and Karel find instant attraction and Karel decides to bring her to meet his sick mother. His mother was so gracious to Alivia when they meet.
Karel and Alyx must do what that can to save their mates. There is also something strange going on with Karel’s mother’s sickness. Karel will realize that it had to be fate that brought his mate to him during this time of need. Will they figure out what is wrong with karel's mom before it is to late?
This was a fairly well written story. I enjoyed it and i liked the added story about Karel mother it gave the story more depth.

Liv decides to give her a chance at finding her a mate. As soon as Karel and Liv meet you can see the sparks flying but Liv is heading out for a date. You can imagine this not sitting well with Karel as he follows her, good thing too as he goes all alpha to protect her.
There are a few comical moments but then this would not be a Milly book with out them, steamy monents (insert water needed), alpha males and their smart mates.

August 31, 2016So I got a deal a la BookBub for one of the books in this series. At the time I was really unable to focus on anything, so I gave this book (and then the series) a shot. Sped through the whole series.
I don't feel comfortable enough to give a rating to the series, because I just can't evaluate it the way I can evaluate another book. But I will say that in my head, the rating went up a little bit because the author really seems to know what she's writing. She's not trying to write great fiction; they're short books that are fun in some ways and get the job done, and I find complete merit in that.
So if this is your jam or if you are for whatever reason temporarily inclined, you could do a lot worse.
I don't feel comfortable enough to give a rating to the series, because I just can't evaluate it the way I can evaluate another book. If you’ve read one you’ve pretty much read them all. Not much going on in this one, we have Karel looking for a wife because his mother is dying and he wants to make her happy. Liv is the typical BBW more talk then she really feels when it all comes down to it. The insecurities is what really gets me because there are so many BBW’s out there that have no shame and if anything the only thing they are insecure about is letting go of their heart for it to be broken. The two meet, of course she’s his mate and all Gerri has to do is get the two in the same location. She helps him and the story ends.

I loved this book, but then again it is a Milly Taiden book!
I would have finished this a lot sooner, if I had had the time to actually read the past couple of days.
As usual, this was awesome.
I was actually surprised by how quickly Karel and Liv's romance blossomed but I should be used to that with the faster pace stories.
The story is fully told and nothing important is missing, so you get a wonderful short story. Great for a quick read even if you only have a little bit of time.
Although, everything is wrapped up nicely, you will still be wanting more.

This is another amazing book by this extremely talented author. I was hooked on this book from the moment that I picked it up. The story is amazing, once you start reading, there is no putting it down until the very last page is read. You will fall in love with the characters and the book moved along at a great pace. This must be read, you will not be sorry.

Was so glad to know this character was finally getting his own book and i loved it. Bella is still getting in trouble and Karel with his mother *swoon* and Liv is one lucky girl. How the threat came into play was interesting and played out well and enjoyed how things turned out for everyone.

Absolutely Love!!! The characters were great. Loved Karel and Liv's story and that you get to know more of the planet Aurora. Their story is fantastic. A love story with a murder plot can't get any better! Way to go Milly Taiden another home run scored with this great paranormal romance.

Now, let me get one thing clear; I liked this book. That's why it has 4 stars. I enjoyed it. As a fun read to start a slow new year at work, it filled a gap.
However, and this is a big however, I have a few niggles. In no particular order:
1: Pacing
I had trouble figuring out the passing of time. Scene transitions seemed a little clunky and unsure. I'm of the opinion one is to end a scene with a definite idea. It didn't detract from the story itself. But I couldn't really tell how much time has passed between each scene.
2: Insta-love
Yea, yea, instant love is a staple of shifter stories. Aphrodite knows I've read enough of them. But sometimes even shifter love can be *too* instant. Which is my issue. It all seemed a little too convenient.

There wasn't really any. Yes, some scenes should have been dramatic, but they were poorly described. That is no fault of the story, or the writer, but it is an indication of somebody with not enough experience at drama. It was all "telling" and not enough "showing". Show more, tell less.
4: Exposition
Any at all would have been nice. Background characters who actually offered something to the story seemed rushed and last minute. Which kind of sucked, because I wanted to like them. I really did. But I couldn't because they were just a name and some dialogue.
5: Emotion
I liked the heart and the sweet fluffiness of the story. I enjoyed the back stories. Told with a little more finesse, and they would have been poignant. But as a backdrop, they worked.
And 6: Women Empowering
Now, I may become unpopular with this statement, but I think the story focussed too much on Liv's size. I love that she's a large woman who is content with herself. I love that she is working out and enjoying her life and is happy. I love that she has a big, bold, powerful outlook on life.
What got to me was the constant reference to her size. I get it, she's a large woman. But there was a moment where that fact was mentioned at least five times within three paragraphs. Be big, be bold, be beautiful, but don't make that your defining feature.

However, and this is a big however, I have a few niggles. In no particular order:
1: Pacing

In the first book 6 we got to meet Karel Yahgar. I loved his personality in that book and we get to see that same personality in this book. He truly has level head on his shoulders.
This was another book I used the whispersync feature and just loved the narrator.
Alivia Vela aka Liv was this confident curvy woman. She loved who she was curves and all. That did not mean her family excepted her curves. As you are reading this series you find the struggles that women like Liv goes through. I think it is good to bring out the struggles, hurt, and pain these women face everyday due to we live in a world that can be cruel and very judgmental.
Liv had bad luck when it came to dating men. Men felt like she should be thankful he gave her the time of day. The date she went on in this book you will want to reach in and smack the loser around. He was a nightmare of a date and dangerous in my eyes. She is lucky Karel was there.
I loved that Karel was not to prideful to ask for Gerri Wilder’s help. I love how this took Gerri by surprise. Karel asking her for her services seemed to be the last thing she expected. I love that when she found his reasoning for rushing on finding a mate she jumped on the chance.
Liv had to be trusting, one minute she was on earth and the next minute she was agreeing to go to another planet with a man she did not know. I love that she went on her instinct. Karel truly needed her for what he was going to face. See his mother was very sick and dying and not one seemed to know why.
I love that we got to see a little of Bella and Alyx in this story. Of course there was another character we got to see in the book that was not so nice but glad she got what was coming to them.
I loved Karel’s mother in this story. Keliana was truly an amazing woman and welcomed Liv with open arms. I can only imagine the joy this must of made Karel feel.
There is danger around the corner. Karel and Alyx must do what that can to save their mates. There is also something strange going on with Karel’s mother’s sickness. Karel will realize that it had to be fate that brought his mate to him during this time of need. She is more of a life saver then he really knew.
Oh, don’t worry there are several steamy parts in this book. So either be ready for a cold shower or have some toys handy. Karel will really swoon you and sweep you off of your feet.

So I have been raving about this series and can't stop reading! Unfortunately, I feel like I need a break. After this one. It wasn't exactly a miss for me, but a few things got to me. Mainly, the ongoing theme in these books feels like it's getting a little too preachy for me.
Shifters love curvy earth girls, got it!
Despite loving and accepting her curves, every curvy earth girl has apparently spent most of her life body-shamed, food-shamed, and sex-shamed. Apparently, there has not been a single man (or woman) on earth who has made any of these women feel special, beautiful, or appreciated.
As a curvy girl, I'm glad I didn't grow up on Earth, hmm, well, wait a minute.... yeah, I guess these particular curvy girls have all had horrible experiences from being called a pig, earthquake jokes when they walk by, and even been roofied on a date. Hey, I'm glad they finally found someone who loves & appreciated them.
Also, as I mentioned in previous reviews, these are quick steamy reads, without a whole lot of character development. This story in particular felt like it spent too much time going on about how much it sucks to be a curvy earth girl and not enough time on our hero. I really didn't feel like I knew or cared about our hero of the story except that he was a mama's boy and half his heart will always belong to his mom. I think I had a stronger feeling about this guy from previous books than I did from his own story. He was also annoying persistent about making her say she was "his" before he would have sex with her...but the way he did it seemed more like he was using sex as a blackmail technique. So she isn't going to commit to being yours forever within the first 24 hours, cut the girl a break. I feel like any normal guy would use sex as part of his arsenal to woo his woman. I mean, it works, especially with shifter d*ck. Hahaha!!

Alivia Vela is a big girl tired of dating. She's at the point she's going to find a frozen pop and get artificially inseminated. Or she would, until big, growly and oh, so sexy Karel shows up, saves the day and gives her a night she won't soon forget. That, mouth...that tongue. Oh my. Karel Yaghar needs a mate faster than he can growl the word MINE. He didn't expect to meet the perfect woman for him and his jaguar only moments after arriving on earth. Now all Karel needs is for her to come with him to another planet. That should go over well. If she doesn't decide he's crazy instead, which is highly likely. Liv is a true born hard-head, she's gonna need more than pink sand to prove she's on another planet. Where are the flying saucers? Then there's the issue of convincing herself she's not falling for the big kitty. If only her ovaries weren't in agreement with her brain that Karel should be her future baby daddy, she might find the will to stay away from his sexiness. While she tries to figure that out, she and Karel will have to work together to take down an unexpected threat.

There are a lot of men out that that do like big girls and do not try to shame them. There are also many of woman out there who do not judge people solely on their weight. Still the books are quick. Taiden once again demonstrates her exceptional talent and incredible skill by delivering another deliciously cute and delightfully entertaining paranormal tale filled to the brim with fun, humor, adventure, danger, drama and sweet romance. Oh, and did I mention the hot, hunky, alien shifters??? No? Well, it definitely has those! After all, we are talking about a Milly Taiden book! And this one delivers quite the wallop! It always amazes me just how much hot, sexy, ooey-gooey goodness Milly can pack into one of her books. This story is not rocket science, folks, but it does involve travel to another planet and will keep you entertained and glued to your seat for several hours. Once you start a Milly Taiden book, you can forget about putting it down until you reach the last page. Milly's stories are always cute, fast-paced, easy to follow, imaginative, original and humorous. The narrative is exceptionally well written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view. The dialogue is smart, sassy, well executed and flows effortlessly. The entire book is well crafted, well developed and incredibly well edited. I think I found two little minor typos in the entire 188 pages. It's always such a pleasure to read a Milly Taiden novel. But it's the characters that are always my favorite part of her books. They are captivating, engaging, endearing, funny and sexy as sin. The chemistry between our hero and heroine is dynamic, intense, hot and passionate. In other words, sparks fly and passions blaze! Although I would consider this book to be a standalone read, you will see quite a few of the same characters who pop in and out of Milly's books and of course, Gerri Wilder, owner of the Paranormal Dating Agency, is always there to arrange the matches and work her magic. So, buckle up my lovelies! It's another wild ride on Planet Aurora!

And it's a good thing he does because he ends up rescuing her from an unscrupulous male and a horrible blind date gone very wrong. Poor Karel, he wants to find his mate so he can introduce her to his dying mother. When Gerri can't help him right away he comes to earth to speed the time frame up. The first woman he sees is Olivia, who lives in the same apartment block as Gerri.
Olivia's luck with men is diabolical, she is ready to give up completely and get artificially inseminated but then she meets Gerri.
Olivia agreed to allow Gerri to match her up with a shifter for one date but first she has to get through another date organised by her step sister. The date tries to drug Olivia but she is too smart to fall into that trap but he gets grabby outside.
Karel had followed Olivia on her date knowing she was his mate, seeing the man’s actions he follows outside and scares the crap out of him by shifting into his jaguar.
When Karel is told his mother has worsened he asks Olivia to return with him. Olivia agrees to go to Nova Aurora with Karel to meet his mother which is really lucky for his mum Keliana, as Olivia twigs she is being poisoned by her carer Tiana.
All of this nastiness comes back to King Alyx's spoilt little cousin Nadeeya who believes she should have been Queen. Delusions of GRANDUER. Loved Nadeeya and Tiana's punishment.

Tired of dating, Alivia Vela is beginning to think she is only going to be able to have a child through artificial insemination. Then very growly and drop-dead gorgeous Karel shows up and gives her a night she won't forget. That mouth…that tongue. Oh my. Jaguar shifter Karel Yaghar needs a mate fast but never expected to meet his perfect woman only moments after arriving on Earth. Now he just needs her to come with him to another planet - the question is will she agree or write him off as crazy? Then can Liv cope with the differences between the two planets - for example, the pink sea, let alone can she convince herself she isn't falling for him - especially as all her ovaries want is for him to be the daddy of her future baby! While she tries to figure that out, she and Karel will have to work together to take down an unexpected threat.
This was a lovely story where another big and beautiful woman fell under the charms of an only shifter from space. Well written and very enjoyable, it was a fun read. Contains explicit sexual content.

Fantastic book about a Jaguar shifter and his mate
Karel is the head of security for the king Alyx on the alien planet Nova Aurora. His mother is dying and her only wish is to have Karel find his mate. Since Gerri Wilder of Paranormal Dating Agency can't come to him, he will come to her.
Liv is fed up with men that not worth dating. Karel protected her from such a jerk. Will she and Karel fall in love?
The characters are relatable in that who doesn't love a hero that is hot, sexy, and unique. The plot is a mother loves her son and want what's best for him.
I love this book because they have interesting characters an ever-changing plot with twists and turns but still relate to the previous walks in some way. I find Gerri, a wolf shifter who has something a little extra that gives her an edge to become the most successful matchmaker. I would highly recommend this book and series.

Karel is the head of security for the king Alyx on the alien planet Nova Aurora. His mother is dying and her only wish is to have Karel find his mate. Since Gerri Wilder of Paranormal Dating Agency can't come to him, he will come to her.
Liv is fed up with men that not worth dating. Karel protected her from such a jerk. Will she and Karel fall in love?
The characters are relatable in that who doesn't love a hero that is hot, sexy, and unique. The plot is a mother loves her son and want what's best for him.

Love this one. Granted, I don't see any smart woman leaving with a man she's only know for a few hours to go to an undisclosed location without notifying anyone, but other than that it was a really good story. I like how smart and independent Alivia is. She has her chance to be the one to save the day instead of it always being the guy, although the guys still get their moments in the spot light in this one, but for once the heroine gets to shine as the savior. Karel is also a really great character. It's awesome to see a man who is equally devoted to his mom and his mate, instead of it having to be one or the other. Never have understood that. Well done to the author for a great story.
Also, the narrator did a really good job here as well. Looking forward to listening to the next book.

Karel & Liv
I loved this book so much. Karel is a jaguar shifter that comes to earth to find a mate. His mum is dying and her biggest wish is to see her son mated and settle. And as luck will have it the first human female he bumps into ( literally) is his mate. Liv is a BBW and proud of her body but tired of having to endure the negative comments of family, friends and strangers about her body. She finally finds, in Karel a man more than happy to love her and her curves and she will do anything to keep him even going as far as to leave earth and go to another planet, Nova Aurora. In there she will find friendship, adventure, love and family.
