Provides advice on making contacts, choosing a career, making moral choices, and achieving personal success, lists volunteer opportunities, and describes aptitude tests
I like this book because it has purpose to motivate teenagers all around the world to succeed and live a good life. Chad Foster the author does a good job of teaching people how to be smarter with there money as they grow up and he teaches how to build a good relationship with anyone they encounter in the world if there important or not.
If your are thinking about reading this book, I highly recommend that you do. It gives you a close look at what you are in for in your near future. It describes efficient way you can be the best version of yourself. It also explains that your whole life you've been taught wrong of how to be successful. Foster explains success isn't a destination, it is a journey. There are two types of success, personal and professional. You must be content with yourself for full success in the end. If you want to have a good amount of life advice and feel like you need a outline for what's coming or what's next, this book has what you're looking for. I personally rate this book 3/5 stars, this read was very helpful for me.
One of the few motivational self help books of this kind that I think really delivers. Read this in high school and it was a funny but informative well written book that didn't make me want to roll my eyes at that thing where self help books tells you the obvious without really helping you.Although most of the advice is more geared towards american Teens and applicable in more developed countries, I actually found stuff that can be modified to my situation; this truly is a universally applicable book. It's a book I'd get for my friends and future Kids.
I think Teenagers preparing for the real world is a short engaging book that teaches the skills that are essential to being successful in the real world. Chad delivers messages that he feels are valuable and rewarding through inspirational stories about famous people such as Elton John and Micheal Jordan. The book's messages of success are based on Integrity, communication skills, networking skills and most importantly the pursuit of your dreams.

I have read this book a multitude of times since I was in Junior High School, 2008 and before. I remember meeting the author at a speaking engagement and every time I turn though the book I get more out of it. I have gotten more use out of a rolodex and sending cards and messages than I can ever tell. It's not just a book for teenagers, it's a book for everyone.
Are you still wondering what you want to do when you grow up? I am not a teenager I was reading this book to see if I wanted to recommend it to my sons and the teens I teach. I was thrilled to find relevance for myself as well. I found this book inspirational. Thank you.
This book for me isn’t about something I typically enjoy talking or learning about but, this book explains in great detail how you can go from not knowing what you want to do with your life and have no goals to having goals and dreams you want to achieve and how you can take steps to achieve them.
It has a lot of valuable information and guidance for teenagers and I definitely came out with a different view on a lot of things because of this book. It is very helpful in trying to help teenagers get rolling in life and make sure they start down the right path early.
I read this with my students for a class I assist in. This should be required reading for all high school students. Frank and informative, Mr. Foster shares real-life experiences.
Chad Foster shows teenagers how to network and make acquaintances not connections. He does this by adding interesting quotes and telling stories of his life experiences. Foster teaches teenagers to make every experience with adults, a successful one. He shows how people like talking about themselves and that if an interview is going terrible, to ask the interviewer how they started with the company and turns the interview around. Foster recounts how being ethical and not stepping on people is key to your future success. He further explains how important it is to pick a job that you love because you spend eighty-thousand hours of your life at work. This book is an easy read and is written in a interesting tone, without being lectured.
I think this is an awesome book for teens and their parents. I first learned of this book when I was at a conference that was presented by Chad Foster. This is a very easy book to read and has practical information for anyone, although the focus is on teens.
I use portions of this book to teach my high school students some tips for surviving past high school. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Also if anyone is looking for an awesome motivational speaker, Chad Foster is one I would recommend. I did not get paid to say that nor does he have a clue who I am!!
A great book. An easy read, but quite useful. Chad Foster turns success into a bunch of easy steps to follow that will work toward a successful future. It's a good read for anyone, not just teenagers, and it's very easy to understand and follow his concepts.
I had to read this book in my Language Arts class and I enjoyed it. The book contained a wealth of knowledge about the world ahead of me. Of course, its audience is teens.
Great book about using interpersonal skills to succeed in life. Wish I'd read it in high school (although I doubt I could have pulled off that much socializing).
I really liked this one and even had my high schoolers read certain chapters. I would love a class set of this for middle schoolers to read. Very readable, believable and interesting. Hard to find a book for eighth graders that is nonfiction and fits that criteria.
