Natural-born warrior Jacob Stone never ignored a lady in distress. So when a stunning brunette clad only in a cocktail dress stumbled to his doorstep, the off-duty air force sergeant went into protector mode. But could he really believe "Dee's" claims that she'd lost her memory…or was her amnesia a ruse to hide a dangerous secret?
For someone had certainly set their sights on getting rid of Dee. Yet they hadn't counted on Jacob's resolve. Dee was his responsibility. Even more…she'd become integral to his next breath. And no one messed with his lady.

Out Of Uniform is a splendid romantic suspense by Catherine Mann. Ms. Mann has provided readers with a well-written book populated with an outstanding cast of characters. Dee awoke in a hotel room, with $100 and an epi-pen. She didn't know how she got there and can't remember who she is. Jacob is on medical leave but must return to work soon. For now he's running his father's hotel since he died, taking care of his teenage sister that has just become a mother. Dee and Jacob's story is packed with drama, humor, spice, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Catherine Mann in the future. Out of Uniform is book 14 of the Wingmen Warriors Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.
I read a print copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
There's no one you would rather have kicking butt and taking names while protecting and loving you in annnnd out of uniform other than Jacob Stone. He's everything a girl could want and more, loving, protective, honorable and most important constant. He goes above and beyond the call of duty in this suspenseful and hair raising tale of a girl who strode right into his life one night with nothing but a memory of a few hours. Its now up to Jacob to help her figure out what kind of woman she is in both life and between the sheets!
This is the story of Deidre "Dee" Lambert and Jacob "Mako" Stone. Deidre wakes up with amnesia and goes to the office of the motel she stayed at where she meets Jacob, he feels very protective of this vulnerable woman and tries everything in his power to help her. He has his friends help. She finally recovers her past and they start searching for her young son. I really enjoyed this book! I highly recommend it!
When she wakes up and nothing is familiar, and she doesn't know who is looking back at her in the mirror, she enlists the help of the Lodge owner. When her memory has returned, it is more of a horror story than when she couldn't remember anything. This book has it all, murder, mystery, romance and love. It is riveting and enthralling. I give it a 5 star.
A good one, even if sometimes is was a bit slow but it had a great ending, I just missed an epilogue...
This book was the last of WW (I noticed there is another title which belongs to this series and another one) so I'm not sure if I'm going to continue on this author or switch to someone else.
This was a pretty decent intrigue/murder mystery story so that the actual romance story was well integrated. Although the best 'amnesia' plotline is 'The Accidental wedding' by Anne Gracie in like historical romance novels.
