When the Halo Falls

Rate this book
It was strictly against the rules for Patience Goodfellow to fall in love with Brady Shaw, saloon wonder, ex-gunfighter, and ladies' man. But Patience knew he had a heart of gold. She should. She had been his guardian angel since he was eleven years old. She still would be if she hadn't taken her halo off, accidentally been knocked unconscious, and woken up mortal, at least temporarily...

Brady Shaw meant to escort this beautiful stranger right out the saloon door. Dropping out of nowhere and insisting she was his fiancee had him hoping mad--and thoroughly perplexed. Somehow, she knew everything about him. But loving an angel might change him in ways he never expected. Now, Patience can only pray she'll get her chance for earthly happiness...and a love that could only come from paradise...

I really thought this book was fantastic! I thought it might be a fun western to read--one with a little twist. I was not disappointed.

For all his life, Brady has had a guardian angel. However, he's not been an easy man to look
out for. Patience Goodfellow is guardian angel number 3 but she loves Brady all the same. Seeing him through all his hardships and trauma's, she can see past his hard shell to the kindhearted man
beneath.

While trying on a dress in the shop of the small town of Fortune - the place where Brady has made
his home, Patience removes her halo. And proceeds to be knocked unconscious by some falling boxes. When she awakens, she has no memory of her guardian angel status but the love for Brady remains. She is convinced she is his fiancée and she's there to marry the gruff saloon owner and live happily ever after.

Brady is greatly disturbed by the sudden presence of this beautiful creature before him who claims
be to his fiancee. Considering he's never laid eyes on her before, he's convinced she is bat shit
crazy. But she is very insistent and proceeds to insert herself into his life despite his many
objections.

Can this guardian angel convince a man to learn to love when he's never before known true love?

This book was boring with a capital B. First off, there's little to no plot other than how Patience
can annoy Brady. There was laughable attempt to add in a gunslinger out to kill Brady but that
came at the very end without any more detail then that. Secondly, Patience is unbearable.
Yes she is kind hearted and loving to a fault but she is super annoying and honestly I could never
put up with her if she said she was my betrothed.

Just not a good outing for an author i usually do enjoy. This was miss for me.
