You will love this Zonderkidz Bible for any young girl in your life. I received mine from Zondervan / Zonderkidz. I have the one with the sweet "Follow Your Heart" design on the front.

It would make a great gift anytime, but especially for a milestone moment like a baptism, grade school graduation, or after they place their faith in Christ.

The size is perfect for carrying and the text isn't too small. The lay-flat design, ribbon markers are great features. The Leathersoft cover feels great in my hand. What I loved most were the age-appropriate messages sprinkled in. I already have a young girl in mind to give this one to.

I have one of these Bibles to give away to one of my book review blog subscribers! For a chance to win:
1. Comment on the post on my book review blog about this Bible
2. You must be a subscriber. To subscribe go to: http:// annalebaron.blogspot .com

The winner will be chosen October 15, 2017

I am enamored with the FaithGirlz line. My oldest grand girl has just entered the target age group and it has been a delight to share the different books with her. I recently received the new NIV FaithGirlz Bible and we had a great time pouring over it and discussing what we liked about the different features.

It comes with a hard back cover that has a magnetic flap closure. I love the durability of a hard back Bible for younger kids. It is a bit heavier but the sturdiness and lay flat design make up for that. But what's fun about a durable Bible that doesn't have a cute design? I'm happy to say that this particular Bible has an adorable owl motif that is shiny and sparkly. What girl doesn't like a little shiny and sparkly in her life?

While the cover is cute it is what lies within that matters. My girl and I both liked the layout. Each book begins with a title page that introduces the book and gives an overview of what is contained. There is also a section written by Nancy Rue that helps relate that particular book of the Bible to your girl's life. Nancy has such a way of speaking truth to young girls and this particular element is a very nice touch.

We also liked many of the other features that made this Bible very interactive. The Bring It On! sections are scattered throughout and they ask a particular question with a multiple choice set of answers. On the opposite page is the second part of the Bring It On! portion. It says If you answered . . . (A., B., or C) then go to a particular Scripture reference. How's that for getting your girl to explore the Scriptures?

I am a list-maker box-checker by nature so the Bible reading plan in the back really appealed to me. It breaks the readings down into very manageable portions and then has a box to check when it is completed. It is designed to be done in a year but with the box check system your girl can do it at whatever pace they are comfortable with.

If you are looking for a way to stimulate interest in Scripture reading and study in your girl I would say that you can't go wrong with this particular Bible. It is appealing to the eye and will speak truth to her soul. What more could you ask for?

I received a copy of this book to facilitate my review.

My daughter, 11, really likes the format of this Bible but still insists the colors are too pink and girly. That said, the content is quite satisfying and we especially like the good guys and bad guys listed as well as some of the what would you do questions. This is a great tool to generate discussion and sharing and I personally don't mind the pink. The magnetic closure is brilliant. Overall, a design and content win for tweens.

I still have the same Bible that I used in my teens. It's worn out and dog-eared with special memories hidden between it's pages. While it is something I cherish, I want my children to have their own Bibles that are unique and special them.

The "NIV faithgirlz Bible" by ZonderKidz is the perfect Bible for that unique girl in your life. My daughter was immediately drawn to the bright and colourful cover, which is a glaring contrast to my old Black Student Bible. There is a special magnetic closure that helps protect the page edges and to keep all those cherished pieces of paper that always find their way between the pages of your Bible. The text is written in purple with highlight in pink. The colours will appeal to most girls.

Reading the Bible can be intimidating, especially to new Christians. The "NIV faithgirlz Bible" has several features that will help you to explore the scriptures and grow closer to God through your discoveries.

Each chapter of the Bible starts with an Overview containing key facts to help you understand the chapter. These include:
1) Who wrote it
2) When was it written
3) Where it takes place
4) Cool characters you'll meet
5) Bad guys to watch for
6) The point
7) How it connects

There is an "Oh, I Get It" section that answers common Bible questions that you have been wondering about.

The "Bring It On!" quizzes will help you get to know yourself. For each answer there is a related Bible verse for you to read.

Every little girl loves to day dream. The "Dream Girl" sections helps you to use your imagination and put yourself into the story.

"Treasure This" highlights key Bible verses for you to memorize and cherish in your heart.

My favourite section is the "Is There A Little (Eve, Ruth, Isaiah) In You". This section helps you understand various people in the Bible and see if you have any of their traits.

The back of the "NIV faithgirlz Bible" is a little treasure trove of usefulness. There is a table of Weights and Measures. I really enjoy this little bit of information since it gives me an idea of the weight, size or capacity of an item.

There is a section for "Through the Bible in a Year" where you can check off the sections that you've read. I really like how they let you know that you can read through each block in about 15 minutes. They also let you know that you don't have to start with Genesis, but that you can start anywhere you like. I know my daughter will be excited to see her progress throughout the year.

Another special section is the "Promises from the Bible"and the "Perspectives from the Bible" provides you with referenced Scripture passages related to Feelings and Situations you may be experiencing, like when you are feeling proud, anxious or in a position of responsibility.

There is a very special section on "How to Begin a Relationship With Jesus". This is a wonderful reference for anyone either for themselves or to share with a friend. It outlines the steps needed to start your personal relationship with Jesus in an easy to read format.

"NIV faithgirlz Bible" is Bible perfectly suited for young girls. The unique cover will have her proud to carry it with her and the in-text features will help her explore the scriptures and grow closer to God.

*Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy of “NIV Faithgirlz Bible” from BookLook Bloggers. All opinions are 100% my own.

What more could a girls love than a pink Bible designed with her unique needs in mind? Zondervan Publishing has created a beautiful Bible with girls 9-13 in mind. Every girl wants to know that she's totally unique and special, and contributor Nancy Rue helps them do just that in the revised edition of the NIV Faithgirlz Bible. As a leading tween expert, Rue teaches girls that the Bible is real and relevant and, best of all, that the story of God and His people is also their story. Girls can now grow closer to God as they discover the journey of a lifetime, in their language, for their world.

The new Faithgirlz! Bible was developed especially for girls ages 9 to 12. Everything in it is written with a tween girl’s experience in mind, and it features the most popular Bible translation in the world, the New International Version. The features explain hard-to-understand things in the Bible and guide girls to put the Scripture to work in their own lives. The Faithgirlz! Bible focuses on sharing faith with friends and gives real ways for girls to do that.

Each book of the Bible has activities that make God’s Word more relevant than ever. And, of course, because it was developed for Faithgirlz! readers, they can expect to find it jam-packed with customized content and artwork that really makes the Bible stand out. Girls will love the cool design, the interactive features and the feeling of knowing that God’s Word is there for them whenever they need it. Some of the features included are:

Book Introductions—Girls will read the who, when, where and what of each book of the Bible.

Dream Girl—Girls will use their imaginations to put themselves in the story.

Is There a Little (Eve, Ruth, Isaiah) in You?—Girls will see for themselves what they have in common with women of the Bible.

Words to Live By—Girls will discover great Bible verses for memorizing.

Oh, I Get It!—Girls will find answers to Bible questions they’ve wondered about.

Nancy Rue says, “I hope the Faithgirlz! Bible will help girls grow a friendship with the Bible, their own relationship. It asks questions, asks them to think and challenges them to apply what they’re learning. That’s how they’ll find a deep, personal relationship with God, rather than just by following rules or saying what they’ve been told without really thinking about it. Rules are important, of course, but they only make sense when they really believe the message of the Scriptures. That’s what this Bible is about.” The Faithgirlz! Bible is the perfect Bible to support girls in their journey into the “beauty of believing.”

I received the Faithgirlz Bible compliments of B & B Media Group for my honest review and the minute it came in the mail, my teenage daughter immediately snapped this up. A great sign that just the cover alone speaks volumes to her. Not only that, she asked if she got to keep it and I said yes, to much squeals of delight. Now this is part of our morning devotionals and she can't wait to share some of the insights that are included inside. It makes for a great conversation between mother and daughter while understanding and learning more about God's Word especially in the life of our daughters. I rate this one a 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it if your looking for a beautiful Teen Bible for your daughter!

When I received the,"NIV Faithgirlz! Bible", the first thing I noticed was that it was taken from my hands immediately by my "assistant" reviewer whom quickly went through the pages and begin explaining how much she loved seeing the flowers and even admire the cover.

When we finally were able to sit down and go through the bible together, I really enjoyed the layout that, the "NIV Faithgirlz! Bible" was done in; It's extremely eye-catching, hip for the young girls to carry around, inspiring and encouraging devotionals through-out and the cover is very sturdy, although later, I ended up making a cover for the bible to protect its binding.

I, and you, would enjoy the fact that this is a very sturdy bible for even as young as seven and with care, a bible that the special girl in your life will cherish and with prayer, use as she is growing up.

The,"NIV Faithgirlz! Bible" makes a great keepsake to give as a baptism, growing up, or just because and throughout the bible, along with fact tidbits that are relevant for girls, the colorful pages, with the flowers and for those who love the color pink, is something that girls would enjoy using for their own bible.

I was impressed by the quality of the paper used and the binding is well done so there is little worry about wearing out.

Although the version I received was a hardback, it is shared, that, the "NIV Faithgirlz! Bible" will also be available as,"...two Italian Duo-Tone designs. For better portability, there is also an NIV Faithgirlz! Backpack Bible. This compact edition does not include the in-text features that the full-size edition has, but it does have twelve full-color pages of Faithgirlz! fun, the words of Christ in red and a ribbon marker. An ebook version is also planned for electronic use.".

So if you are looking for a bible to give your daughter, niece, sister or any girl, I highly recommend the, ""NIV Faithgirlz! Bible".

It is very hip looking, the words are easy to read, binding durable, filled with encouraging tidbits along with room for personal notes and speaking of notes, the paper is of a grainy quality that won't bleed through, though I wouldn't suggest liquid highlighters with any type of marking in bibles, due to the bleed through factor.

NIV, to the best of my knowledge, is the only version this comes in, though I could be wrong, and the lettering isn't small so it won't hurt growing eyes or require squinting to read.

This is a delightful bible to own/give and worth giving to that special someone in your life!

The deep pink with contrasting flowers gives this Bible a feminine look, and is eye-catching and frilly—just the Bible a young girl would love to have! The contrasting light pink, purple, white, and black emboldens the title.

The red violet and purple writing inside are colors most girls would love. It’s attractive and attention-getting, especially when contrasted with the different features interspersed throughout. All these designs help to catch the eyes and minds of young girls, with the goal to challenge them to read and apply the Word of God to their lives.

I especially love all the different features listed below, as they prompt a more active role on the part of the girls to grow stronger in the Lord and be a doer of His Word!

Here are the features included:

Book Introductions–Girls will read the who, when, where, and what of each book of the Bible.

Dream Girl–Girls will use their imaginations to put themselves in the story.

Bring it on!–Quizzes to really get to know yourself.

Is There a Little (Eve, Ruth, Isaiah) in You?–Girls will see for themselves what they have in common with people of the Bible.

What Happens Next?–Creating a list of events to tell the story in your own words.

Words to Live By–Girls will discover great Bible verses for memorizing.

Oh, I Get It!–Girls will find answers to Bible questions they’ve wondered about.

At the end of the Bible is a list of the following:

How to Begin a Relationship with Jesus
A Yearly reading guide (I’d use a pencil so you can use it every year.)
A List of Promises From the Bible
Perspectives From the Bible–”What the Bible says about”
Several pages for personal notes

The Faithgirlz! Bible has been written for tweens between the ages of 9-12. As a parent, I would love a Bible like this to challenge my daughter(s) to grow stronger in the Lord and be a doer of His Word!

A great gift just in time for Easter!

My Review:
Trendy is exactly what I think of upon opening this Bible. Most girls especially in this day and time want to fit in and what better way to do just that then to give or receive this beauty as a gift from a loved one. It has a beautiful cover that appeals to the 8 and up age range. It also has a special magnetic closure. The colors are bright and beautiful and any young girl would absolutely love to have this special Bible directed to girls only!

Growing closer to God becomes an even more exciting adventure when you get to open up something so beautifully made each day. Nancy Rue tackled this one and as we all know she is a great role model for our girls. I have worked with her in the past on some books she had written concerning bullying--she is a great lady!

The Faithgirlz! Bible is NIV version is full of all kinds of great extras for the young girl to inspire and to encourage her to be an upstanding daughter of the King. This would make a perfect gift for any young girl.

When I was in this age range, there were the kid Bibles and then there were the adult Bibles. My choices ended up being full color with half the scriptures missing or the only color being the Red Letter of Christ and a bunch of text that was scary as to the quantity. If only there were things like this… a hot pink, and floral Bible to get girls excited and enticed to open the pages and really spend time with the scriptures within. Yet the appearance is only the beginning. Here you can so much more.

First let me say this, or scream this however you’d like to read it here in my words, I’m squealing in my head. THE TEXT IS PURPLE! The numbers and chapters are HOT PINK! I’m sooo in love with that. Can I be 10 years old again? Please please please! I wish I had a screen shot hear to show you just how much this is attractive (oh yeah, click the button that says Read Sample).
Little personality and character promoting quizzes, suggested memory verse and more. I’m ecstatic. This is delightful to look at with it being so charming to the eye and perfect for a girlie girl daisies and all. Yet, there is substance. While reading you get the scriptures and can find everything you need in a trusted and easy to read and understand New International Version, but you also get the study and the queries that promote just a little more depth and a desire to come back for an additional time.

Great for an individual girl, great for a girl’s group around confirmation time. All in all, I’m delighted to have discovered this one and added it to our Bible shelf. As a person with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies I have spent a lot of time with various Bibles over the years and I’m a big fan of this one for a pre-teen girl.

Yesterday I reviewed the NIV Boys Bible (click here) and today I'm reviewing the FaithGirlz! Bible which is a whole different book. Yes, ZonderKidz took the same NIV version and created a Bible just for girls.
I believe that God made each of us for particular reasons just as He made boys and girls very different. Boys NEED to be rough and noisy, gross and nerdy - Girls NEED to be ladies, cherished, Daddy's princess and Mommy's helper. They may be Tom Boys but there is a reason God made them that way and the FaithGirlz Bible is going to help them come to terms with WHO they are in God's eyes and WHY God made them the way he did.

The Faithgirlz Bible teaches girls that the Bible is real, relevant & that the story of God & the Isrealites is their story too. The in-text features are written by tween expert Nancy Rue and uses the bestselling New International Version (NIV) to make it easy to read and understand.

One of the differences you'll notice in the FaithGirlz Bible is that this Bible is more intellectual than the Boys Bible is. This Bible causes you to dig down deep - not just in scripture but into your thoughts and soul. You'll see sections like:
Dream Girl - use your imagination to put yourself in the story.
Bring It On! - Take quizzes to really get to know yourself.
Is there a Little (Eve, Ruth, Isaiah) in You? See for yourself what you have in common.
Words to Live By - Bible Verses for memorizing.
What Happens Next? Tell a Bible Story in your own words.
I LOVE this feature: (I'm going to try to write up an example so you can see what it looks like - I couldn't find an example on Nancy Rue's website - so here goes) - Pls keep in mind the spacing is awful and nowhere as neat as the one in the Bible - but you'll get the idea!

Now that I have a tween in my house I realized that the children's Bible's weren't cutting it. With her planning to join a teen study this fall she very well couldn't walk in carrying a Bible with Precious Moments on the front, nor a childish drawing of Noah's Ark. It was time to look for a "real" Bible for my 11 year old.

FaithGirlz Bible immediately appealed to me. A hardcover NIV Bible with a magnetic closure makes this Bible sturdy, which is especially helpful if one totes their Bibles around to church and studies.

This isn't just a Bible but also part devotional.

*Dream Girl feature will help you imagine yourself in some of the most familiar Bible stories.

*Bring It On feature is to really get to know yourself by answering some of the quizzes.

*Book Introductions highlights the main topics of each book of the Bible and applies them to your life.

*Treasure This! are verses that you may want to memorize.

There is so much more and I see how this Bible can make reading God's word both precious and fun. I hope in years to come I find this book highlighted, written in, and a little dog eared and dented to show the use that my daughter will get out of it. For now I am hiding it to present it to her before she leaves for her first Bible Study this fall.

This book was given to me by BookLook Bloggers in exchange for my honest review.

This is a great Bible that any young girl would love to carry. The cover is beautiful, love the colors and graphics. And the best part I think is the magnetic flap to keep the Bible closed. There are a number of features, its pretty much like the first Faith Girlz Bible, but I still recommend this new and different color one. Here is what you will find inside.

Dream Girl–Ever wondered what it was like to live in Bible times? This feature uses your imagination to show you what it may have been like to witness some key events.
Bring It On–This is a personal favorite of mine. They are scattered throughout and they are quizzes and each answer is backed up with a Bible verse.
Oh I get it! Q&A explaining some of the things you may not understand.
Treasure This!–Good verses for memorizing!
Is there a little____ in you?–Quizzes that will help you understand some Bible characters–and yourself–a little better.
In Your Own Words–You get to summarize some key events in Scripture in your own words.

If you are looking for a Bible for the young girl in your life, they would be very pleased with this one.

I received this book from BookLook Bloggers to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

Are you looking for a bible you can pack into your backpack, briefcase while traveling, your purse for work, or diaper bag without taking up too much room? The Follow Your Heart, faithgirlz, Backpack Bible is perfect for you or your teen.

This compact bible is bound with imitation leather and is pink with a cute little pink heart on the back cover. The lettering on the front cover is gold with a small pink heart stamped about the "h" and a heart stitched in pink thread around the words. It is an NIV edition for ZonderKidz.

Because I journal, my favorite colored page is the Make Your Own... Talking-To-God Journal. It lists supplies and directions for creating a personalized journal to be using for conversations with God.

The colorful pages are a nice touch, nestled in a few different places in the bible (picture below).

I know my teen has a hard time reading the bible if it's bulky, hardcover, and too hard to easily carry. The Backpack Bible is a perfect size for her and is easy to transport from youth ministry to the car, back to church, and back to the car again.

I recommend this bible if you're looking for something compact and pretty. It makes a perfect gift for graduating teens (middle school or high school), first communions, birthdays, Christmas, or baptisms. I think these would also make cute best friend bibles.

This is an excellent bible for the tween girl in your life. It is a study bible of sorts that will help young girls find the answers to questions about the bible and deepen their knowledge of God's Word. They will be excited to open the pages and explore God's Word.

There are so many neat features included in this bible that any girl is sure to find something they enjoy. These include and introduction to each book that gives information about the book, who wrote it, when and where it was written and what the book is about. This is important for good bible study and developing a deeper understanding of the text being studied. Bring It On! is a section that allows the girl to take quizzes about themselves. What girl doesn't want to take a quizz - it is the thing to do in all the teen magazines. I would venture to say this will offer great conversation starters for parents and their daughters (if you parents are willing also to candidly take the quiz with your children). Words to Live By offer verses for memorization - these are key verses that will encourage Christian growth. What Happens Next? is also another great conversation starter for girls and parents as it offers a chance to create your own bible story.

Thanks to the publisher for this review copy.

I looked through this bible and wished that I had one as a young girl. Such great features! I especially loved the Oh, I get it! sections. Really well thought out and timely. I was able to give a copy to a ten year old at our church's youth group. She immediately sat down and started reading! If you are looking for a great Easter gift for a young girl, here it is!

The counterpart to the faithgirlz! bible, The Boys NIV is also very well done. I had my 11 year old look through it, and he loved the 'Grossology' parts the most. Since I received this bible free, as well as the girls one, I gave this to the brother of the girl that I gave the faithgirlz! one to. I see him carry it around on Wednesdays and Sundays. Looks like he adores it! Yay! So, here is a great Easter present for your little mister!

I love the features of this bible..Dream Girl...Where girls use their own imagination to place themselves in the story.
Bring It On...Girls can take quizzes to really get to know themselves.
Is There A Little Eve, Ruth, Isaiah??? in you?
Words To Live...Bible verses that are great to memorize.
What Happens Next...Creating a list of event to tell a Bible story! and, I Get It...Finding answers to Bible questions!
This is a beautiful book, and I would not hesitate giving this to a young Tween!

I love this Bible! For starters, the fonts are pretty, and I just love the colors! So, my very first impression was a good one! LOL When I looked further, I came to just love the extra, which are listed (and sampled) above. My favorite is the Oh, I Get It! boxes. How many times do we read the Bible and just come out of it not fully understanding what we just read? And not just that, but it also serves to expand on the text of the Bible. It definitely makes the Bible more understandable for a tween girl. I haven’t yet shown this to my 8-year-old daughter, but I have a feeling that she’s gonna love it even more than I do!

So far, after reviewing some works from faithgirlz I had no bad book coming my way…never disappointed about their products. It makes me love them even more.

This Bible is all the way girly, chick, and stylish… The fonts are pleasant, and the contents are beautifully arranged… with some extra…

I want to give it to my younger sister, and hope she would love to read it, to leave by it, and have a fun Bible Study time.
