This book has been on a bookshelf in my family, probably since it came out in '75. My mom and dad both read it with us kids way back then, and it was fun to peruse and enjoy the memories. The book itself was the ultimate back when published, we all learned so much from it. I don't care it's 'outdated' because the universe is still amazing whether Pluto is a planet or not

talked about a lot of the universe we lived in today and has inspired me more to be a astronomer.

For a book written in 1975, it’s a surprisingly accurate history of all our major scientific discoveries pertaining to space! (Until 1975 ofc) Super dense and packed full of info, but I learned a lot and it was a fun read.
