The only woman Nick’s ever loved wears his ring and carries his baby. All the dreams he never thought possible have finally come true. Because of Shae. His sweet angel gives him everything he’s ever wanted.
To be together, they’ve fought against their careers, her friends, and the demons from their pasts. Yet, nothing and no one has ever been able to sever the connection between them. After finding their way back to each other, Shae believes in Nick and his love for her. Accepting her absolute faith in him, Nick’s finally learned to trust himself. Yet, the perfect life remains just out of reach. Nick and Shae face the biggest challenge threatening their relationship. He’ll destroy any man who tries to steal the happiness she deserves. Can their love survive Nick’s plan to ensure Shae’s always safe?
Nikki writes contemporary romantic thrillers and admits to a weakness for bad boys, especially ones who can’t live without the strong women they love.
She spends more time in her characters’ lives than her own. But, when she’s in the real world, her passions include reading, wine appreciating, running, and spending time with her daughter.
After I read the first book (which doesn't end in a real cliffhanger FYI) I knew I couldn't wait to read this one. I was really excited to see how the characters move forward with the future.
This book was mainly about the characters moving forward and finding that love can help overcome a lot. I was upset with some characters and cried during some scenes, but the plot was riveting!
We meet new characters and I really enjoyed that aspect. I can't wait to read about Max and Gina (I read the description of their books and they sound awesome!!).
There's not a lot I can say about this book because the first book could be ruined with what they had to go through. They go through stuff in this one too and it has its own set of drama, but it was different, to me. It was more emotional.
Overall, the flow of this book was just as amazing as the last book. No awkward fillers, and amazing dialogue, with a plot that keeps you glued to reading. I will be reading The next book in the series soon and can't wait. 4.5 stars #2OCCJD
This is the second book in the series. You should read them in order to know what it going on. This book is every bit as emotional as the first one. A blast from Nicks past storms in and tries her best to tear them apart.
This book starts off exactly where Wines and Whiskey left off. Shae is in the hospital recovering from the kidnapping and assassination attempt on Nick, Max and herself. The doctor's are very concerned for her and her unborn baby's physical health as well as Shae's mental health after everything she's been through these past couple months.
Having found out about his baby at the end of the first book, Nick is even more determined to protect Shae and bring her back home to him. He regrets trying to let her go and live those weeks without her. He realizes that he should have never let her go and strives to prove to her that his love is still strong. He works on a plan to eliminate all threats against Shae in an effort to protect her from further turmoil. Plans don't always go smoothly. Shae is once again in danger from someone no one ever gave a second thought.
Shae continues to put up a strong front constantly trying to protect those around her but Nick is starting to be able to see through her cracks and makes her admit her feelings, both good and bad. She feels guilty for the things that happen even though they're not her fault. Wrong place. Wrong time.
Now that she's agreed to marry him, you, as the reader are praying for everything to work out for this new little family. The threat behind who Nick is and what he represents is never far from the readers mind. Shae, with the help of her close friends, starts to become more confident and starts taking back control of her life making her even stronger as a person. Meanwhile, Nick is coming to terms with his life both past and present with his family he once had.
Nikki Belaire once again keeps the reader entertained and on the edge of their seat. I thoroughly enjoyed both of the Wines and Whiskey books and hopes the author continues on with this series because so much more could happen for these two lovers. I'm addicted to knowing more about Shae and Nick's lives along with Carrie, Nathan and the rest of the DeMarco "family".
I'm so glad Nick and Eves were able to overcome all the obstacles in their way. I hope that their will be more books coming, I would like to know what Nick's dad to him and his mother and to find about more about Max and Gina.
Nick and Shae have the perfect love relationship it seems, except when things in Nicky’s world start to cause problems. As much as Nick tries to keep things hidden from Shae it always comes back to bite him in the butt. But their love is strong and Nick is very attentive and protective of Shae and does whatever he has to, to make sure she is happy and safe, even if it means putting him selves in jeopardy. I absolutely loved these two books of Wine & Whiskey, and couldn’t put them down, and I highly recommend them to readers who are interested in reading about a bad boy who’s madly in love with a girl and treats her like a princess.
I loved Wine and Whiskey: Everything for You, as much as I loved the first book. I was upset how the first book ended with a cliff hanger until I wrote the review for Wine and Whiskey. I noticed that there was a second book about Shae and Nick's story. I had to purchase it and start reading right ASAP. I loved how Nikki Belaire started Everything for You right where the first book left off. This book was hard to put down. With lots of twists and turns. It was a quick read. I can't wait to start the next book in the series about Max's story. I expect it will be just as amazing as Wine and Whiskey was.
What a fantastic conclusion of Nick and Shea (this is book 2) moving forward in their relationship, for every person that tries to tear them apart, the stronger their devotion grows. What a great book!
A great second book in the series. I loved reading more of Nick and Shae (I won't give spoilers) and the trials that they went through. The storyline and plot were written exceptionally well and I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.
Omg.. I really love this book almost as.much as the 1st one in the series. I didn't cry as much when I read the 1st either lol.. It was so good I read it in one sitting.. I love all of Nikki book that I read so far and can't wait to start Truth About Tequila 💕💕
I couldn't put this down. Can't wait to read Max's story. I went a love like this! All the twists, I can honestly say, these books left guessing and completely floored when the twists came to life. Well written. I look forward to reading your other books.
Nick and Shae's story continues. I fell more in love with them. Nick was a bad guy mob boss but Shae loved him anyway. He loves her too. This is a must read, get your copy today. You won't be disappointed.
This series is like a fine wine! It just keeps getting better. I loved that Nick and Shea got it together in the end. It had just the right amount of suspense to keep you on your toes. I can't wait to get more of this series. Job well done with this book!
Romance the Right Way (OPPOSITE LIFESTYLES COLLIDE )
📚💋Dear Readers
Simply Fantastic. I was kinda surprised at the instant love from the Alpha male . Seemed kinda soon, For him to say out loud he had fallen in love . But as book one progressed it was simply heartwarming. Book Two a Beautiful & heartstopping conclusion.
A definite roller coaster .. you want to tell her to scream at people to back off . Let her made her own mind up . It’s heartbreaking that her best friend left her & tried to control her . But in the end we LOVE WHO WE LOVE .
Suspenseful romance at its best .
She fights through all the obstacles to be with the man she falls for . Thick n thin .
This book picks up right where book 1 left off and the suspense is there in chapter 1. You are wondering if Nick and Shea can make it back to each other and survive the life that Nick lives. This book is full of twist and turns just like the first but I absolutely loved it and didn't want to put it down until I was done. Nick is dead set on keeping Shea safe and in his life but her friends and manager are against it. Her best friends Carrie is always there for her and is the only support she feels she can turn too. You are in knots wanting to see if the life Nick has dreamed of with Shea will be there's and until his enemies are out of the picture and not hurting them any longer. Nick fights his demons to keep her safe from the life he lives and the past hurt of his father. Shea fights her own demons and doesn't think she deserves to be happy with the man she loves. She fears that she is going to end up crazy like her mother. They fight their demons together and continue to work to make the family and life they have dreamed of come true. Their love survives much more than most think it should and then they find out that the baby they created is going to be a part of them as well. They will have the strong bond of love always and he will protection her and his child like no other. I can't wait to see if there is more to this story.
The twists from book 1 have nothing on book 2. Holy mother this story is twisted and you will not expect the turns to continue. This story picks up from where it left off in book 1. You may want to go back and read last few chapters to jiggle your memory because I had to stop and think in a few spots because once Nikki throws you a bone, you'll need to catch the other bone quick to get the full effect of the twists. Shae and Nick still have the past they must hurdle over along with the present and the future. They both show that they are still stubborn as ever and both will do anything for each other including risking their lives for the other person. Shae and Nick receive the best news ever until horrible Evan manages to create havoc in their world. The best is that it twisted again and Evan ends up being the one screwed to a point since he's lucky he's still alive thanks to Shae cause he'd be six feet under if it was up to Nick. The story continues and you will have to wait for more Wine & Whiskey, but while you’re waiting go visit an Island or enjoy a chocolate festival. This ending is not as traumatic as in the first book so go enjoy some Wine & Whiskey until book 3 is available.
Wine & Whiskey: Everything for you (Surviving Absolution #2) By: Nikki Belaire 3/5 stars
This book picks up where the first one left off. Nick and Shae are back together again. They’re expecting and are soon to be married. They have fought against their careers and the people connected to them and especially Shae’s friends who didn’t want her to be with Nick.
There are ups and downs, twists and turns. Nick still doubted himself and his ability to protect Shae and still thought she deserved a better man, all of which annoyed me greatly. He wasn’t near as bad. There wasn’t much character depth or development. It could have been because the timetable was still very fast, but I just never felt the depth of their relationship or that they progressed.
I did like Max and his book is coming, but with the way that he is with his lady friend, I think it’ll be more of the same feelings of inadequacy & that the woman deserves better/more or whatever have you. I’ll probably read the book if it’s on Kindle Unlimited, but otherwise I won’t, just because the ground seems to have already been laid with the annoying habits of the first book.
This book was beautiful! The intensity of emotions felt in this book are like nothing else! I was so invested in these characters from book one and this book took me on another wild ride full of twists and turns. This was a beautifully written love story with just enough drama and suspense to keep you wanting more!
~~~~~~~~~~Lindsey's ★★★★✰ Review~~~~~~~~~~
The continuation of Wine and Whiskey, this book is a completion of Nick and Shae’s story. I love books where couples have to fight to be together and when they think their lives are going to be perfect, that they are thrown other obstacles to overcome before the possibility of happily-ever-after comes to them. I love strong characters and an author who truly takes time to develop them. This is a great read and must be checked out if you want to know what happens with Nick and Shae!
So this is the second book in Wine & Whiskey by Nikki Belaire and it is a great book just like the first!! I had to read it right after I finished the first one and I was not disappointed at all. It starts off right where the first book ended and it too has it's twists and turns full of surprises. What happens to all the characters in the first book and how do they end up? There's plenty of shocking surprises as well that had me screaming WHAT!! It is a very great sequel and I am glad to have found this book and author. My emotions were all over the place, in a good way, and I am still excited over this book. There's love, happiness, sadness, heartaches, as well as many other emotions that will leave you wanting more. Every page was exciting and full of promise that I couldn't read fast enough. I don't reveal any spoilers but know this, you must read this book. It is a great series to read. Another great job Nikki!!
This story takes off straight from book one and never lets go. I have to admit I loved every twist and turn. Shae and Nick have finally found the peace they deserve but all good readers know nothing is ever peaceful in a romance book. Evan is still doing his best to break them up but these two are willing to fight whatever stands in their way for their future together. Nick is still as possessive as ever and Shae is still the quiet strength that he needs. The desire these two share is still as red hot as ever. I loved this story and how no matter what was thrown in their way they never lost sight of their love and commitment to each other. I recommend this book to everyone looking for a drama packed but sexy sweet romance.
This book is freaking fantastic, I loved it! Wine and whiskey everything for you is the second book in the Surviving of Absolution series and the story starts off right where book one ended. With the continuing of Nick and Shae's story is breathtaking. This book brought me to a lot of tears and so many unleashed emotions. I was so drawn to the characters and felt connected to their feelings. There's love, happiness, sadness, heartaches, as well as many other emotions that will leave you wanting more. I highly recommend this book and you won't be disappointed but you have to read book one first.
I had to stop for a minute while reading this book and catch my breathe. This started right where the last book ended and tugged my heart in every direction. This was a great read period. Yes we have read the bad boy and the good girl who loves them books before, but the emotions that were poured into and carried over from the first book are twisted even more. In the first book we meet them and learn of their love for each other and those that tried to stop it. In this book the story is how strong that love is and what they both were willing to do to protect it. Light on the sex, heavy on the emotions, along with characters that make us love them and their HEA.
Received an ARC for an honest review. This is the continuation of Nick and Shae. Wow, if you want more suspense, twist and turns well you should have some Wine and Whiskey. Nick and Shae are still trying to overcome their pasts. There is more adventure with these characters to be had. Once you start a turn there's a twist. Hold onto your seats for this ride with Nick and Shae. What is going to happen next? hmmm?
Okay well...Book 2 was just as good a read as Book 1! Again there were many surprises and ups and downs. Nick and Shae do not have an easy life - together or separately. To make it even more difficult, there are people who are not happy they are together, will use Shae against Nick and all around, just try to mess them up. Nick will do anything to keep Shae safe. Shae has decisions to make and when you are not used to doing it on your own, it's difficult. Great story and I loved it.
It's been a long time since I stayed up late reading...This one did it for me! Love Shae and Nick! I'm a sucker for good romance mixed with action and intrigue. Against the odds and betrayals from close people, they make it out HEA! Now, after a while into the book, my attention got diverted to Max and Gina. Please tell me there is a story for them? Would love to know what happens next. Thankful that there was no love triangle brought into the mix.
Wine & Whiskey: Everything for You (Surviving Absolution Book 2)
Wow, I like how book 2 picks right up from where book 1 left off without losing any of the story! It's amazing how this author had taken this series to the next level! The HEA is just incredible and makes you believe in true love! Absolutely adored this series and will make it a point to purchase other books by the awesome author!
Note- had to edit review because the stars disappeared!!!! Good grief
LOVED it!
We pick up exactly where we left off in book one - no time jumping here. My heart hurt for Nick & Shae when...I couldn't believe the horrible thing Evan did with....... and I just wanted to wring Jason's neck when...... Did not see that twist coming! Forgot all about.....Seriously you want the answers, read this series - it will not be time wasted.
I can trust that Nikki will take me on a roller coaster of emotions! I was all over the place with this one. So angry, frustrated, happy, crying, laughing, etc. Full of hot sexy times, intrigue and true love! Nick and Shae's continuing story reaches an epic finale that leaves you wanting more. LOVED this one so hard! I've read both this one and the first one twice! Its a binge worthy series that will keep you enthralled!
Shae and Nick continue the rollercoaster ride through their relationship. His jobs continue to cause grief and issues throughout the book. Love Max, Carrie and Nathan in this book. His issues with Evan continues and he also has issues with some of his employees. Shae is there most of the time to support him. Love this 2nd part to this book.
