The Billionaires of Barefoot Bay #1-3

The Barefoot Bay Brides: A Barefoot Bay Collection

Rate this book
Three full length novels set on the sun-baked beaches of Barefoot Bay for one low price!

Meet the Barefoot Bay Brides -- three destination wedding planners who are experts at arranging dreamy "I do's" on the beach, but haven't found their own happily ever after...yet. This collection contains three full-length novels, the stories of how three bridal consultants kick off their shoes and fall in Barefoot Bay.

Barefoot in White

Willow Ambrose has fought a battle with the scale for much of her life, but she has finally won the war. But when she comes face to face with someone who left an indelible mark on her heart years before, all that threatens to crumble.

Navy SEAL Nick Hershey is on medical leave, doing a friend a favor as a stand in "man of honor" at a beach wedding. When he realizes Willow is a girl he knew in college -- and a girl he unintentionally hurt to the core -- he knows he has some making up to do.

The closer they get, the more the past threatens to tear them apart. Nick and Willow learn the hard way that they can't change history, but does that mean they won't have a future?

Barefoot in Lace

Destination wedding planner Gussie McBain needs a man...specifically, a wedding photographer. Just her luck that the shutterbug she runs into is more used to snapping pictures of glamorous models in couture gowns than brides in white lace.

Tom DeMille lives his life exactly as he pleases--always alone. In fact, he's got that motto tattooed in Greek on his arm. Then an alluring young woman with pink hair and a sassy mouth shows up at his door, and he agrees to do the unthinkable...photograph a wedding in exchange for help he desperately needs.

Will his own heartache and refusal to lay down roots prevent him from giving Gussie the family life she craves...or could she be the one woman who can finally break his vow of solitude?

Barefoot in Pearls

As her two best friends settle into their happily ever afters, destination wedding designer Arielle Chandler is beginning to wonder if the promise of "The One" - one true love, meant only for her - is merely folklore passed down from her Native American grandmother. But when a mysterious man nearly mows her down on a hill overlooking Barefoot Bay, the legend of destined love suddenly feels very real.

Luke isn't proud of the fact that he spent ten years as a mercenary warrior, fighting battles for another country. But when an enigmatic dark-eyed beauty steals his attention with her announcement that he is about to flatten a native burial ground, Luke has a new battle to fight.

Luke and Ari soon discover the hills of Barefoot Bay could be hiding something far different - and even more valuable - than ancient art or graves. Will they risk their chance at once-in-a-lifetime love to uncover secrets that could change the landscape of Barefoot Bay forever?

The Barefoot Bay Series is really several mini-series all
set on one gorgeous island. Every single book in the series can be picked up
and enjoyed whether you've read none, some, or all of the others. The complete
series consists of the four original books that launched the series, followed
by a trilogy of Billionaires, a trilogy of Brides, and a prequel plus trilogy
of Undercover stories.

I don’t know about you, but when I check out an author's bio, it’s usually because I’ve read a book I liked and wondered about the person behind it. Let's skip the formal bio and I'll give you the inside scoop on who Roxanne St. Claire really is.

First of all, call me Rocki. Everyone does. Evidently, when my mother brought me home from the hospital I seemed too scrawny and small to pull off “Roxanne” (she’d read Cyrano de Bergerac while pregnant or I would have been Judy) so they called me Rocki.

I grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, the youngest of five (overachievers, every one), and fell in love with words and stories the summer I read Gone With The Wind. That year, for my twelfth birthday, my parents gave me a typewriter (with italic font – it was the coolest thing) and from that day on, I’ve had my fingers on a keyboard, pounding out love stories for fun. My AP English teacher taught me the two most important lessons an aspiring author ever needs: 1) verbs are the key to life and 2) a writer should get a real job. After attending UCLA and graduating with a degree in communications, I tried acting and television broadcasting. Oh, they aren’t real jobs? I learned that the hard way. I changed my last name from Zink to St. Claire because a news producer told me Roxanne Zink had too many harsh consonants for a TV personality – apparently Katie Couric didn’t get the memo. I got some fun gigs, and even met Tom Hanks when I did a guest appearance on Bosom Buddies. I liked on camera work, but wasn’t too crazy about starvation, so I moved to Boston and got that “real” job. In fact, I placed my foot on the bottom rung of the corporate ladder and didn’t look down until I’d climbed all the way up to the level of Senior Vice President at the world’s largest public relations firm. On the way up, I met the man of my dreams in an elevator. Two years later – in the same elevator! – he asked me to marry him and I wisely said yes.

I stayed in PR, moved to Miami, had a few babies, lost my home in a hurricane, built another one a few hours north and all along, I kept writing my “stories” for fun. One night, I read a particularly fabulous romance novel that changed my life for good. That night, I decided I wanted to make someone else feel as whole and happy as that author made me feel. (Everyone asks! It was Nobody’s Baby But Mine by Susan Elizabeth Phillips.) With two small children and one big “real” job, writing my first novel wasn’t easy, but I did finish a manuscript that managed to get the attention of a literary agent. She told me to do one thing and one thing fast: write another book. (The first one is usually a “learner” book, honestly.) That second manuscript sold to Simon & Schuster’s Pocket Books and was released in 2003 as Tropical Getaway. Since then, I’ve written almost thirty more, in multiple genres, and long ago replaced the corporate ladder with the rollercoaster of publishing as a full-time novelist. Finally, writing is my real job.

Today, I live in a small beach community in Florida with my husband and two dogs. Our kids are off to college and law school, which means my nest is empty! I spend my time writing, working with the kids at my church, enjoying my husband's gourmet cooking, and hanging with my many writer friends. Of course, I love to read. I’m still crazy about words and stories and hope to write at least a hundred books in my lifetime. And, yes, verbs are the key to life. My favorites? Love. Work. Believe.

xoxo

Enjoy 3 of Roxanne St. Claire’s sexy stories all packed into one warm read. Just what you need to start the spring thaw.

Secrets on the Sand - Remember the labels that we used on each other in high school? Jock? Snob? Beauty Queen? Slut? Geek? Roxanne St. Claire has captured that time in our lives & brings the characters into adulthood. Proving that the labels we placed on one another may or may not be accurate later in life.

Seduction on the Sand – will make you smile, laugh & your heart will hurt as the characters make their way through the ups and downs of discovering what each of them need to be complete. This book reminds me of an old movie that you have seen multiple times. If it’s on – YOU WILL WATCH IT – you can’t help yourself.

Scandal on the Sand – features a bad boy billionaire and a woman who do ANYTHING to ensure the safety of the child that she loves. Add a 4 year old who loves to spell & you’ve got B-I-G entertainment.

Get your sunscreen out and enjoy the Sand Trilogy.

1.Amanda Lockhart was once known as Mandy the Magnificent in high school. She had been the most popular girl at Mimosa High, the head cheerleader, homecoming queen and even runner up for Miss Teen Florida during her teenage years. Now she is down-on-her-luck, in debt and recovering from a disastrous marriage. Amanda is reduced to working as a maid to earn income which is quite the turnaround for someone of her once illustrious status quo.

Zeke Nicholas’s nickname in school was Ezekiel the Geekiel. He was the math geek, nerdy and scrawny, Amanda’s polar opposite in high school’s status. Zeke had even harbored a secret crush for Amanda but never summoned the courage to confess his feelings. Their roles reversed, Zeke is no longer scrawny but physically built from time at the gym and a billionaire due to his math skills.

SECRETS ON THE SAND is the first book in THE BILLIONAIRES OF BAREFOOT BAY series, a spin-off from Ms. St. Claire’s BAREFOOT series. It made me smile and feel happily reminiscent when beloved characters from the BAREFOOT series made appearances in the story. Zoe and Jocelyn’s names were mentioned while Lacey had a more prominent role in the tale.

Usually I do not like reading novellas because I feel they are far too short, the story rushed to meet the requirements for novellas, and vital or important tidbits missing. However, I did not have those feelings towards SECRETS ON THE SAND. The pacing of the novella felt similar to that of her full-length novels and nothing seemed left out.

SECRETS ON THE SAND is a light-hearted, sweet, feel-good read that had me sighing contently at the end. Roxanne St. Claire swept me up into the story and caused me to sympathize for Amanda’s plight without making her character annoying. I can see this series ranking right up there with her other books and awaiting for the next installment with impatience.

2. Francesca (Frankie) Cardinale is a goatherd. She raises and breeds goats for their milk and uses the milk to make fragrant soaps to sell. Frankie has experienced the misery money can bring. Her parents died when she was a teen because they needed to have more. Frankie made a deathbed promise to her departed grandfather that the property would remain in the Cardinale family.

Elliot Becker is a Stetson-wearing, Texan-drawling billionaire. He made his fortune from sheer luck of buying property and discovering it had a pricy stone called Goshen on it. As a child, his family moved around a lot, which taught him to behave like a chameleon, adapting to any role or situation to fit in.

Elliott's character and personality zinged with me. He became my instant favorite out of all of Roxanne St. Claire's characters. Many times as I read his quips and antics, they made me smile or laugh. For all his swagger, talk and charisma, Elliott has a soft, sensitive and insecure side he never reveals to others.

Frankie differs from Roxanne St. Claire's previous heroines. She struck me as not your common run-of-the-mill strong and independent heroine. Frankie has a different sort of strength that I found admirable. Her spunk and snark make her fun to connect with.

What I like most are their interactions. It is so fun and lively. The pacing of the book is similar to SECRETS ON THE SAND. It moves at a steady clip. I never got the feeling that it was rushed like I sometimes do with novellas.

SEDUCTION ON THE SAND is a playful and tenderhearted read. I really hated to see the book end because I had such fun reading about Frankie and Elliott's unconventional courtship. Roxanne St. Claire continues the trend that she established with the BAREFOOT series and SECRETS ON THE SAND. I believe SEDUCTION ON THE SAND easily surpassed its predecessor.

3 Nathaniel “Nate” Ivory is a party-boy billionaire from a famous family. The media knows him best as “Naughty Nate” because scandals are nothing new to him and the Ivorys. He wants to put his wild, bad-boy ways behind him and prove to his grandfather, the family’s strict patriarch, his true worth. The unexpected news of his fatherhood status threatens to skew his attempt.

Liza Lemanski works at the County Clerk’s office. She knows her way around legal documents, able to spot a phony by a glance. All Liza wants is to adopt her deceased friend’s four-year-old; however, she needs the father to sign away his rights. But, Liza learns that the relationship her friend alluded to was fabricated.

At the start of the trilogy, I was on the fence about Nate. I did not have much on his personality, unlike his two friends, to draw an opinion. Book two gave a bit more insight, but not enough to reel me in. It did succeed in making me curious to learn how he got that scandalous reputation as a celebrity bad boy.

SCANDAL ON THE SAND delves deeper into Nate, answering all that I wondered about the man. In the beginning of the book, he came off as a jerk in his interaction with Liza. Yet, as I got deeper into the book, my opinion changed. Nate redeems himself as he grew and changed from the party-boy of his reputation.

I liked Liza since her introduction in SEDUCTION ON THE SAND. And the fact that she was no way impressed with Nate’s celebrity status or his money made her a fast favorite heroine. She continued to interest me with her pluckiness and determination. She is a perfect fit for Nate.

SEDUCTION ON THE SAND is a charming conclusion to THE BILLIONAIRES OF BAREFOOT BAY trilogy. The story is light-hearted goodness. It was nice to reacquaint with Tessa and Ian again. These spin offs always lend a deeper view into past books’ hero and heroine’s happily ever after.

A cute set of books with a spark of humor, a dash of danger and lightly romantic stories by the seaside.
Good to read on vacation on the beach or in a winter cabin packed with snow, a warm fire and your hunky husband.

Disappointing

I absolutely loved the Dogfather series, read them all. But these stories are not Roxanne St.Claire's best. They are just ordinary, could have been written by any hack.

BAREFOOT IN WHITE is a beautiful story of love, loss and secrets. The story is about Willow Ambrose (Willie Ambrosia Zatarian - daughter of Donny - a rock star and Ona - a famous model and designer)and Nick (Kiss) Hershey a Navy SEAL on medical leave after a mission that went wrong. Willow is a wedding co-ordinator in Barefoot Bay and this is how she met Nick (for a second chance) who is supposedly the Man of Honour at the 'wedding' of his friends sister as her brother can not make it do to the honour, as he is on active duty!.

Willow and Nick did met in college but Nick does not initially recognise Willow because she is now slender and when she was at college she use to have a weight problem due to over eating to help with her sadness because of her treatment by her mother. Nick feels instant attraction to Willow, even though he feels that they have met before so he asks her out, and then 'bride' Misty turns up and lets slip who Willow really is and that how Willow and Nick's relationship starts. The story then goes on to show you how you have to learn to forgive and trust to be able to live again. I definitely recommend this book if you like a book about forgiveness and hope.

BAREFOOT IN LACE
This story starts with a credit card, an expired driving licence and one annoyed photographer. All TJ DeMille wanted was a few thing from the convenience store but when he got to the counter to pay for his items, he was rudely refused, because his name did on his credit card did not match the one on his drivers licence. Luckily for him Gussie McBain, one of the Barefoot Brides owners was in the same shop and felt sorry for him and purchased his items, when she handed him them - he then told her he owed her a big favour.

Back at the Barefoot Brides offices a catastrophe was happening because their photographer had to go away to look after her sister at short notice and they needed one for an upcoming wedding. Hence the calling in of a favour.

TJ DeMille has been left guardian of his niece Alex after the death of his sister, TJ is a man who's motto is 'Always Alone', so much so that he has it tattooed in Greek on his arm, so he finds it hard to be responsible for another person and he his struggling with his relationship with the grieving Alex, when Gussie turns up on his doorstep and makes his niece smile for the first time in ages, he agrees to anything she says, so that he can see his niece smile again. This is how the famous photographer ends up being a wedding photographer for an up and coming wedding for the Barefoot Brides.

The story continues with the past and present lives of these 2 characters, they are both lonely, frightened and scarred but together they bring out the best in each other.

I love this series, its emotional, sexy, contains heat, humour and heart and the characters feel real and I can not wait now for Ari's story -

BAREFOOT IN PEARLS
I love Roxanne St Claire's Barefoot Bay series. Barefoot in Pearls is the 3rd book in the Barefoot Brides series and this story is about Arielle and Luke.

Arielle is the wedding designer at Barefoot Brides, a business she co-owns with her best friends Willow and Gussie. Arielle has been brought up to believe by her late grandmother, a Native American Shaman that there is one special person meant for her in the universe and that she would know when she met him. Recently her friends have all found 'their ones' and she is beginning to doubt that she will ever find her true love. On her friend Willow's wedding day Arielle is drawn to Barefoot mountain where she questions things, while there she finds a necklace of pearls and while picking them up she is knocked off her feet by a stranger, who when he touches her she feels that he is 'THE ONE' for her. They part without exchanging details.

Luke can not believe the beautiful woman he knocked off her feet on the hill is his sister Gussie's best friend and business partner and he looks forward to getting to know her some more because he was instantly attracted to her an felt a zing when he touched her. However things are not as easy as he hopes and Luke finds himself learning about Arielle and her intuitions and heritage before they can move forward.

Luke has been hired to build a house on Barefoot mountain for a friend of his but Arielle thinks it is an ancient Native American Burial ground and she wants Luke to succeed with his business but she can not let him build till she has had the land checked out.

This story keeps you in suspense with will they or wont they, and who was the person causing all the problems for them. I read this book in 2 sittings as I could not wait to find out all the answers to the suspense that Rocki kept throwing our way in these pages. Well done on a well wrote Barefoot Bay book. I would definitely recommend this book to all romance lovers out there but I would read them in sequence so you learn all about these fabulous Barefoot Bay Brides in order.

Barefoot in White (The Barefoot Bay Brides Trilogy #1) Roxanne St. Claire

This story is about Willow Ambrose, who goes into a wedding planning business with her friends Gussie and Ari. They decide to offer their wedding planning business to Casa Blanca Resort as their very own destination wedding planners. One thing that Willow has been dealing with is her weight and also being the daughter of a rock star and a fashion designer, she has always felt that she doesn't fit in anywhere, because she is less than prefect. By being the daughter of such high power parents in their eyes she was a failure or should I say her mother.

Just as Willow, thinks her life is complete, she sees someone from her past, and his name is Nick Hershey. Nick Hershey is a Navy SEAL who is home from Iraq on medical leave. He was involved in an explosion that left him deaf in one ear. While on leave, Nick's best friend asks him to help his sister, Misty with planning her wedding and asks if he would be willing to also be his stand-in as the best man for him. Nick agrees to help out his friend so he goes to Barefoot Bay to meet Misty. While there he meets Willow and feels like he knows her from somewhere but he can’t figure out where he knows her from. You will have to get the book to find out what happen!

If you have read any books by Roxanne St Claire, you will love this one. I love how she is able to weave a story with character that you want to get to know. She will have you laughing and cry, and getting upset with some of the character in this story. I would suggest that this is a must read book. This is the first in the series, and I can’t wait until the next one comes out!

Barefoot in Lace (The Barefoot Bay Brides Trilogy #2) Roxanne St. Claire
Roxanne St. Claire has done it again with Barefoot in Lace. This story is about Gussie McBain and Tom DeMille. In a chance meeting Gussie, and Tom paths crosses. Tom DeMille aka Thomas Jefferson DeMille is a well know photographer.

Gussie, returns to the office and is confronted by her partners and a very angry mother of the bride. The photergrapher that they had hire for the upcoming wedding, has left them high and dry with such a very short notice, who are they going to get now. Gussie without thinking she open her big month and said that Tom could step in as the replacement photographer for her wedding day. There is just one problem Gussie hadn’t talk to Tom DeMille on whether he would be willing to help her and her partner out of this bind. Gussie has to figure out just how she is going to pull this miracle off.

Tom's sister had died suddenly and he was named as Alex's guardian. Tom and Alex have such a hard time connecting, because she is 12 year old girl. Yet when Gussie meets Alex they connect right away. Can a tragic experience from each of their past that has shaped them into the people they have become? Can love, and forgiveness help them to overcome their own fears and acceptance of their own fears and insecurities?

Roxanne St Claire always manages to create very inspiring stories, and this one will not let you down either. I highly recommend Barefoot in Lace to readers who love contemporary romances. Barefoot in Lace can be read as a stand-alone story, I think you will able to learn about the characters if you read the books in order.

Barefoot in Pearls (The Barefoot Bay Brides Trilogy #3)

The back story of Arielle Chandler is that she is one quarter blood of an American Indian. She was very close to her grandmother who name was Grandma Good Bear. Ari made a promised to her grandmother that she would wait for the right guy to come alone. Her grandmother taught Ari that there is only one true love in her destined. As her two best friends are either married or about to be, Ari was starting to believe that this guy would not never enter her life.

Luke McBain, is the long-lost brother of Gussie whom she had reconnected with in France earlier that month. While Luke, was out for his jog, and he literally ran into Ari. He was jogging with his eyes close with his ear buds in his ears. After running into Ari, he told her that he was in the zone. Really! Luke, is here on Barefoot Island to start a new construction project for a new house. But there might be a bigger problem than bulldozing the land, because it could be on a Native American burial ground. With that said there so much more to this story, than I am willing to give away. You will have to get the book to find out just what happen.

Roxanne St Claire, has creative another suspense and romance with a lot of mystery, that has the element of the Native American tradition in it. If you love this type of story than you need to add this one to your collection.

THE BAREFOOT BILLIONAIRES TRILOGY!
I love the way Roxanne St. Claire has pulled together some of the very best of Barefoot Bay into this trilogy. I was thrilled to receive advanced ready copies of the first two books in the series. Unlike some novellas, these left me feeling very fulfilled and not short-changed in the least. They have the feel of full-length novels. The stories could easily stand alone, but I always love reading the background stories and characters from the series sharing in the continuation of this new trilogy! Especially because the Barefoot Bay series contains such rich characters & powerful stories!

SECRETS ON THE SAND
Ezekiel the Geekiel, (Zeke Nicholas), and "Mandy The Magnificent" (Amanda Lockhart) - a zero to hero & a hard-luck heroine... He's a billionaire. She's a poorly maid...on the surface. But clearly thanks to St. Claire's exceptional talent at developing authentic, deep characters, it is not their current circumstances that define them.

This first novella is packed to overflowing with overcoming adversity, a second-chance at love, steamy romance, a bit of mystery, fully-developed genuine characters, a truly heartwarming storyline, humor, fun parallels between Lacey (from Barefoot In The Sand) and Amanda (our heroine in Secrets) mixing the old and the new of Barefoot Bay! And an ending that will leave you "floating" :)

SEDUCTION ON THE SAND
What's not to love about Elliot Becker? He's got everything a girl could want... And he knows it! You know what they say about Texas ;D "Everything's bigger in Texas!" Elliot is a sexy, billionaire playboy set in our favorite beachside oasis of Barefoot Bay, who does everything in a big way! From his grand gestures at arriving in helicopters and "winning at all costs" to romancing through every means possible and then losing his oversized heart to our heroine, the beautiful, loyal and very tenacious Frankie (Francesca) Cardinale.

In the beginning Elliot's motives aren't exactly what one would call "pure" as he uses his usual smooth moves like a chameleon (that up to this point in his life have worked like a charm) to try and gain Frankie's land for he and his partners/friends own personal gain. At times it's a little difficult to like Elliot as he makes some extremely poor choices. But as Elliot begins spending more time with Frankie helping her with her small goat farm in his bid to convince her to sell her land to him, we start to see a different side to Elliot.

He soon realizes that Frankie's land is her life, promised to her by her grandfather on his deathbed, and will never leave the family. It is her "home". It is the very essence of who she is and her future dreams. He realizes too late that his deceitful plans have put her land in jeopardy. More importantly, he realizes that he could lose HER. Can he salvage the mess he's made of everything and ever undo the damage he's done? St. Claire once again holds the reader on the very edge of their seat in anticipation of what will happen next. She is a master at throwing in surprising twists to the plot! It is another page turner to the very end as we run the gamut of emotions from disgust and hilarity, to heartache and cheering for our main characters!

SCANDAL ON THE SAND
The setting is always steamy and lush on Mimosa Key as we meet the highly recognized and über wealthy, American "royalty" and sexy playboy billionaire of Barefoot Bay. Nicknamed by the tabloids as "Naughty Nate", our unlikely hero of the third novella is doing his level best to undo the damage caused by his past naughty reputation and avoid scandal at all costs as he begins to build and manage the respectable business of a minor league baseball team, the Barefoot Bay Bucks.

His plans come to an immediate halt when he's bulldozed by our seemingly common in comparison, but nonetheless beautiful and extremely efficient, Liza Lemanski. Liza's only goal is to gain Nate's signature forever relinquishing all parental rights to her four year son, now hers by way of legal guardianship, whom she believes to be his son. As they embark on a whirlwind journey to find the answers to the mystery of the boy's paternity, they are irresistibly drawn to one another but encounter what appear to be insurmountable obstacles including the mighty power of Nate's influential family, more secrets and scandal along the way to the pulse-pounding conclusion! You'll definitely feel the heat with this one! This novella also includes an enticing sneak peek at the first full length novel "Barefoot In Lace" in the spinoff series soon to be released, the Barefoot Brides!

After reading each of these books as stand-alones, I was happy to see them released in a boxed set for future readers.

Secrets on the Sand (Barefoot Bay Billionaires #1):
We all knew the geeky guy in high school, the one everyone made fun of. But what if years later he showed up a hunky, gorgeous single billionaire? Amanda Lockhart, once the school beauty queen and lead cheerleader, finds herself working as a maid at Casa Blanca and living in her parents house, trying to stay afloat after a bad marriage and financially wiped out. At first she doesn't remember Zeke Nicholas, known back then as Ezekiel the Geekiel, but he sure remembers Mandy the Magnificent, the girl who once came to his rescue and became the object of his major high school crush. With Zeke now back in Barefoot Bay for a family event, Mandy's chance encounter at Zeke's villa becomes a nightmare for her. Fired from her job, Zeke tries to help her get back on her feet. But after all these years, he is missing the one thing all his money can't buy...someone to share his life with. And he wants Mandy. But can she be the one for him? What secrets is she keeping that may keep them apart forever?

Seduction on the Sand (Barefoot Bay Billionaires #2):
The second book of Roxanne St. Claire's Billionaires of Barefoot Bay trilogy is another winner. I love these guys! Elliot Becker, along with his friends Nate and Zeke, want to build a minor league baseball stadium. With the purchase of most of the land, they need the last parcel to complete their plans. Problem is, the land has been in Frankie Cardinale's family forever and Frankie has no plans to sell the land to anyone for any price. Elliot, however, is sure he can make an offer that can't be refused. Until he finds that Frankie is really Francesca, the beautiful owner who has no intention of selling her little goat farm property she inherited from her grandfather no matter what the price. Although I didn't feel the heat between Elliot and Frankie as much as I did with Zeke and Mandy in Secrets on the Sand, I enjoyed watching these two dance around the attraction between them.

Scandal on the Sand: Barefoot Bay Billionaires #3:
This is the third and final story of Roxanne St. Claire's Billionaires of Barefoot Bay trilogy. It is hands down my favorite of the three. Nate Ivory, billionaire playboy, known as "Naughty Nate" in the tabloids is trying hard to move past the partying womanizer he once was. His antics were well documented much to the dismay of his grandfather, the Colonial, and tarnishing the name of Ivory Glass, the family-owned company. Determined to clean up his image, Nate and his two friends Zeke and Elliot, are building a minor league baseball stadium on Mimosa Key and the team that will play there. Just when things are improving for Nate, Liza Limansky shows up and wants him to sign a Termination of Parental Rights paper for a five year old boy he knows nothing about. This is not your typical "son he didn't know he had" story. Nate is sure he would remember the beautiful Liza, but he doesn't. So why would she want him to sign the paper? Does he have a son or is she just another gold digger trying to tap into his money? Another scandal, he does not need. What he needs even less is another tabloid story and his grandfather's wrath. Things do not add up and Nate and Liza set out to find the truth. What they didn't expect to find was love. She is exactly what he needs to keep him out of trouble and on the right path in life. And he is what she needs in her "almost-but-not-quite" kind of life. The result is a delightful, sweet love story with a touch of mystery.

Each book is an enjoyable, short read. If you're looking for something to take to the beach or just curl up with by the fire, this is it!

Secrets on the Sand #1

This book is just like a roller coast ride, that Roxanne St. Claire, put you on as so as you start this book. First off you meet Amanda Lockhart, she working as a housekeeper at the Casa Blanca Resort and Spa. Where she run into someone from her pass Zeke Nicholas someone she went to high school with. Mandy Mitchell got married right out of college, and she married a very rich man and then the course of her life change forever, now she is working as a maid. Scandal on the Sand #3

This story is about Nathaniel Ivory, but by the tabloids as “Naughty Nate. When a woman shows up with papers for him to sign giving up his rights to a son he has no idea he has, is the boy his or is it just another person trying to con him out of some of his money. Liza claims she just wants custody of the boy, but Nate wonders how he can have a son by a woman he doesn't even remember, is she out for money. When Nate sees a photo of the boy, he is the spitting image of him.
What you need to do is find a comfortable chair, and have a cup of tea or hot chocolate, because you will not want to put this book down until the end. If you have not read SECRETS ON THE SAND or the other two in this series this is a great box set to have, so that you can sit down and read them back to back. It will make you laugh out loud, and make you mad,and happy. This is a must have right NOW!!!

The “Barefoot Billionaires” is a boxed set of 3 books by Roxanne St. Claire and what a wonderful deal! Each novella felt like a full length novel with excellent & unique characters (even if all the men were mere billionaires), conflict, and satisfying resolutions.

1) Secrets on the Sand – the story of Zeke and Mandy was my absolute favorite and I could not put it down. There’s something about high school opposites meeting again and a Cinderella story in Mandy that caught my attention and would not let go. (5-stars)

Mandy was Miss Popular back in high school with her entire future ahead of her until she married Prince Wrong. He took all their money and fled the country, leaving Mandy broke and working as a maid cleaning toilets.

Enter Zeke the Geek. Back in high school he was King Nerd who eventually made it big. And staying at the very resort Mandy is working at while being bothered by his matchmaking mother.

In the end, Zeke, and the other baseball team members, decide to set up a minor league baseball team on the island. For this dream to take place, they need a plot of land owned by Frankie’s grandfather (Enter story #2).

2) Seduction on the Sand – is the story about Elliott and Frankie. Elliott enters the scene with a mission: buy the property they need to build their baseball team. There’s only one problem, Frankie, promised her grandfather she would keep the land in the family. In order to wear her down (or win her over), Elliott decides to stay on Frankie’s land and help her with her new business: goat milk and soaps. (3-stars)

I had to admit that this story seemed a little unbelievable (a Billionaire living/working on a goat farm?) and there were some coincidences that wrapped up the ending a little too well. I was also unsatisfied that the lawyer didn’t suffer any legal repercussions for defrauding an old man. I know…I know…but this is a story and I want the bad guy to get punished.

3) Scandal on the Sand – is the story of Nate and Liza. Liza is a hardworking county clerk. Between helping her friend, Frankie, clear up her family’s property disputes, she also takes care of a four-year old boy…who could be Nate’s son (da-da-dum). Liza and Nate investigate the little boy’s mom and the past she ran away from. By solving that mystery they hope to start a new chapter as a family. (4-stars)

Nate, is our modern day equivalent of a Regency rogue – who had to out-drink, out-party, and out-womanize to prove his masculinity, but Nate wants to change. He’s made mistakes in his past (what Regency rogue didn’t), but like a ‘real’ man, Nate stands up to his mistakes and wants to do the right thing. It took me a while to like this guy, especially with rumors of a sex tape swirling around. But in the end, his love for Liza and his son (this ‘mistake’ with another woman), redeemed this hero in my heart.

This bundle has three stories revolving around three friends, who just happen to be very rich and handsome. Great price for three wonderful stories!

Secrets on the Sand # 1 - I loved this book! I am a huge fan of geeky guys...heck I married one. Our hero, Ezekiel Nicholas, was the geek in school, whom no one paid attention to, He worshiped Mandy Mitchell from afar. She was the popular one, a cheerleader! Imagine his surprise when 10 years later she is the cleaning maid at the villa he is staying at in Barefoot Bay. At first Mandy doesn't recognize him because Zeke is all grown up! ;) Don't worry, he still is a geek though having graduated from MIT and Harvard Business School and has become a billionaire. Zeke is obviously still interested in Mandy and wants to take her out on a date. Mandy declines because of an issue from her past. Zeke comes to realize that Mandy needs money and since he wants to help her, he makes her a business proposition. The sexy, fun story that ensues is perfect. Zeke is slowly getting Mandy to fall in love with him and now he just has to figure out a way to make her permanently his. The happy ever after ending was just perfect. Zeke is my new favorite Barefoot Bay hottie! <3

Seduction on the Sand - I just love these billionaires! While Zeke is still my favorite (I have a thing for geeks), Elliot Becker was adorable. Who else would try to be a goatherd just to get to know a woman better? I loved how he was really trying with Frankie. I loved Frankie as a heroine. She was strong and yet vulnerable at the same time. I loved how she wanted to hold on to what was left of her family's life. I also LOVED the surprise twist ending. Never saw that one coming. Like all the Barefoot books, Roxanne St. Claire had me laughing, crying and sizzling at the same time. All I say here is shower scene! ;) Another winner Rocki!

Scandal on the Sand - God, I loved this book! I loved Naughty Nate! I loved Liza! And I really loved Dylan. What a fun little kid.

Nate and Liza took us on a fun adventure trying to understand everything that happened in the past with Nate and Liza's old roommate, Carrie Cassidy. I want to spend a week on the yatch N'Vidrio! That ship sounds heavenly. I can't even imagine living that lifestyle.

I love how Naughty Nate was trying to change his playboy ways and that by meeting Liza, for the first time he really wanted to.

The only negative I can say about this book is that I wish it was longer. There was so much more that could have been developed in the story. I would love to meet some more of Nate's family. They sound like a hoot. Maybe a new series....The Ivory Towers?

Great, fun, sexy read. Loved their happy ending!

Barefoot in White

The first in a new series by Roxanne St Claire and its a hit! Three wedding planners have opened a business on Barefoot Bay and this is the story of Willow. She has a lot of deep hurts not only from her mother but also from an incident in college. She has changed a great deal and is trying to leave her past in the past. Nick Hershey, a guy from Willow's past, who is on leave from the Navy Seals due to an injury, shows up on Barefoot Bay. They help each other heal and the fireworks start! Another hit by Roxanne. This book can standalone but I recommend getting the entire Barefoot Bay Series. They are great books!

Barefoot in Lace
This book is the second in this series by Roxanne St. Claire. She has done it again. Another hit in the Barefoot Bay Series! I love Tom and Gussie’s story. It has pain and heartache but also hope for another chance at love and family. Tom is a famous photographer who suddenly has custody of his niece after the death of his sister. Tom wants nothing to do with this responsibility, settling down or falling in love and he makes that quite clear. Gussie was injured as a teenager and it has defined how she lives her life, hiding under wigs and behind lots of make up. She makes an instant connection with Alex, Tom’s niece. The three of them take a trip to France and find all sorts of things about themselves and what is important in their lives!

I love Roxie’s Barefoot Bay stories. They make me feel like I’m right there in the middle of these stories about hope, love and happy ever after! Check out Barefoot in Lace as well as the other books in the Barefoot Bay Series!

Barefoot in Pearls by Roxanne St Clair

This is the third book in Barefoot Bay Brides Series by Roxanne St Clair. I loved all the other Barefoot Bay stories and was looking forward to this one and it didn’t disappoint.

All Luke McBain wanted to do is build a house for an old friend and start over after years of being a Mercenary warrior, fighting battles for another country. After seeing her two best friends find happy ever after, Arielle Chandler wonders if “The One” will ever happen for her. When Luke nearly mows her down on a hill overlooking Barefoot Bay she thinks he might be “The One”. But when she finds out he wants to demolish a piece of land she thinks is sacred she begins to doubt that feeling. While their attraction to each other grows they find more trouble than they bargained for.

Check out the newest Barefoot Bay Book and find out if Luke and Ari are truly meant for each other.

The way Roxanne writes I feel like I’m there at the beach and it is so easy to fall in love with and root for the characters. Loved this book!

Secrets on the Sand

I loved Zeke and Mandy's story so much! Since I was a bank geek in high school, I love reading stories where the geek from high school makes it big later. Since Secrets on the Sand is a novella length story, it moves very fast. There was great chemistry between Zeke and Mandy from the moment they saw each other again. I really felt like Mandy was a pretty strong character even before Zeke came back into her life, but she seemed to finally see herself as strong once he was in her life.

Seduction on the Sand

Frankie and Elliott's story was so fun. Seriously, any time you get a billionaire to help out on a goat farm and sleep in a barn, you have to have a fun story. I loved that Frankie didn't fall all over Elliott just because he was rich. She wanted to keep her Nonno (grandfather)'s farm and didn't really care how much money he was offering her for it. Not that Frankie wasn't just as attracted to Elliott as he was to her. The chemistry was amazing between them from the very beginning.

I really liked Elliott, even when I knew he was about to risk his future with Frankie. I love that Frankie had made at least one friend in the city offices and Liza was able to warn her of what was going on in advance. For some reason, I missed the clues as to how Frankie would be able to keep her land, but love how strong she was when push came to shove. While I was shaking my head as Elliott made his mistake, he really made a huge play to make things right. He won me over with how he showed his love to Frankie.

Scandal on the Sand

I loved both Nate and Liza so much in this book. Nate was trying to turn his life around and lose his “Naughty Nate” nickname. Of course this is right when he meets Liza. Liza is such a strong character. She has been helping her friend raise her son since he was born and has been his guardian for the last year.

I felt the connection between Nate and Liza from the moment they met, even as they argued about Dylan. I really loved that even thought they were so different, they worked perfectly as a couple for me. I also loved they both were super protective of Dylan. I loved watching them grow closer and start a real relationship the longer they spent time together. The chemistry got stronger and stronger between them as well.

Nate had already started turning his life around when this story started. I loved watching him grow even more as this story progressed. I’ve loved each of the Billionaires of Barefoot Bay stories so much. Just something about Nate and Liza’s story that made it my favorite of the 3.

What's better than the The Barefoot Billionaires?...a box full of Billioniaires!! Read one right after the other,no waiting like I had to do!
1. Secrets on the Sand...Zeke and Mandy's story
I really enjoyed this book! Zeke and Mandy's story is very intense and I do love a book with depth to it. When I finished it I was really surprised that although it's a novella I felt as if I had read a full length book. Very anxious for #2.. Seduction on the Sand in February!! I love Barefoot Bay!!!
2. Seduction on the Sand...Elliot and Frankie's story
Seduction on the Sand is #2 in The Billionaires of Barefoot Bay novella trilogy. I really enjoy Ms. St. Claire's style of writing, she has such a way of making all of her characters feel so real and packs them with personality as she did with Elliot and Frankie. Elliot made me laugh out loud with his over the top antics trying to get what he wants...think it's just land? I related to Frankie because she was determined to hold on to something that's close and dear to her heart.
Love Love how Ms. St. Claire has tied this trilogy to Casa Blanca, an elite resort that was created in the Barefoot Bay series. It feels like I get to go back and visit!
Seduction on the Sand is being released January 13, 2014, Nate's story will be released February 13th 2014...I'm anxiously waiting!
3. Scandal on the Sand...Nate and Liza's story
Scandal on the Sand is the last of 3 novellas in the Billionaires of Barefoot Bay Series. I'm not surprised that Roxanne St.Claire did it again...wrote a great story and gave her characters so much depth that you can feel their emotions. This is a solid story of change, priorities, values, courage and, of course, love.
Ms. St. Claire took us back to Casa Blanca, a resort built in her Barefoot Bay Series. She included a cameo appearance from Tessa, the gardener for the resort. I love the way Ms. St. Claire weaves some of the characters together from both series, it makes it feel like one wonderful story that I can get lost in!
I really liked this book, it had the feel of a full length novel, it felt real and I could relate to Liza on many levels.
I've heard there's going to be a new Barefoot Bay series, 'Brides of Barefoot Bay'...I'm really looking forward to them!!

I am so happy Roxanne St. Claire has put these novellas out in a boxed set. All three are really fun reads that get you hooked on Barefoot Bay all over again,

Secrets On The Sand:
Amanda Lockhart used to be Mandy the Magnificent in high school. Homecoming queen, head cheerleader and Miss Popularity. After making a mistake in love she now works as a maid at Casa Blanca trying to pay off all her debt. Ezekiel was a geek in high school. Now he is a billionaire but the money isn't giving him what he really wants. Zeke is staying at Casa Blanca while he is in town for a family obligation. Mandy may not remember much about Zeke but he remembers her and this time isn't to shy to try to get her.

This is the first of three Barefoot Bay novellas. Secrets on the Sand introduces you to a group of new characters while still checking in with Lacey, Clay and some of the others.

Seduction Oh The Sand:
This one picks up right where Secrets on the Sand left off. Zeke and his friends want to build a minor league baseball stadium around the Barefoot Bay area. Elliot Becker is the one they trust to get the final piece of land they need from Frank Cardinale. What he don't know is Frank has passed away and his granddaughter Frankie is the one who he will have to get to sale. Frankie knows there are people who want her grandfathers land but she made him a promise that she would keep it in the family. She wants it to be the goat farm he built and nothing else.

Scandal On The Sand:
Scandal on the Sand is the third novella in Roxanne St. Claire's Barefoot Bay Billionaires and by far my favorite of the three. Naughty Nate Ivory is doing everything he can to change his image and lose his hated nick name. While he and his friends are working to get the baseball stadium dream up and running he meets Liza. Liza isn't like the other women Nate has met that want something from him. What she wants will change his life forever and could end up being one more scandal on his list. This is a great story that while the main characters are trying to unravel lies and half truths still keeps you laughing and falling in love once again with Barefoot Bay.

Three wonderful hits in one box set...A must have...Barefoot and Billionaire's what else could you want...
In Secrets on the Sand you have Mandy and Zeke they know each other but things get really interesting between them..She isn't the person she once was..

Then we have a Seduction on the Sand sound intriguing well it is..Elliott Becker is after one thing and he will get it..When he meets Frankie Cardinale she is going to give him a run for this money...It's a fun ride so hang on tight before it's all over he might be charmed by some goats...You will see..

Now we need a little Scandal on the Sand...oh! Yes...Naughty Nate doesn't get this Nick name for nothing...but Nate Ivory wants to change his life around..When he meets Liza Lemanski she has one thing on her mind, and want only one thing from him...once she gets that she'll leave him alone...another ride of mystery...hidden truths from Nate and Liza..They have to work together to find out exactly what is true or not...A touching story which warms your heart..

Finally all three books are brought to you by an excellent author Roxanne St.Claire....only she knows how much our Barefoot Bay means to us....The Key to Barefoot Bay....Kick off your shoes and Fall in love....
Don't miss out on these books....you will really love them...

Roxanne has this fantastic way of creating characters that feel like your BFF from childhood right from the very first page, even though she manages to hold onto this air of mystery about them throughout the story. It doesn’t feel like the characters pour their guts out to you in the intro paragraph, you’re absolutely learning about them throughout the book, but you’re hooked from the first word and sad to see the book come to an end. Barefoot in Lace is absolutely no exception to that ringing endorsement. From the moment you meet Gussie and Tom, you can’t wait for them to realize they’re meant for each other, and to soften up and reveal their scars to each other. As an added bonus Roxanne takes us on a trip from the gorgeous Mimosa Key to Nice in France, and the descriptions alone will have you feeling a little jet lagged after you’re finished.

This is the boxed set of the Billionaires of Barefoot Bay Series, a new trilogy by one of my very favorite authors, Roxanne St. Claire. She is one of my "must read" authors. I trust that I will get a great story every time and won't be disappointed.

What a sexy concept…Billionaires of Barefoot Bay…this trilogy dovetails perfectly with her first four Barefoot Bay books. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love a billionaire, especially when the billionaire comes tall, dark, and handsome?

I don't think you will be disappointed. If you enjoy a light, contemporary story with sexy leading men and smart, sassy heroines you will certainly enjoy these books. The boxed set makes a great gift.

Loved the fact that I could read all back to back in one book so it felt like one continuous story. Each was based on the next and the theme of creating a minor league baseball team and park there on Barefoot Bay had them working together. Staying at Casa Blanca you got to see the ladies from the original series which is always nice. Each billionaire fell in love with a worthy heroine and not for their money. Amanda and Zeke, Becker and Frankie, and Nate and Liza, were all likeable characters and each had a nice, sweet story to tell.

3 books in one, all short, sweet, and entertaining reads.

I bought the first one individually and wrote a review about it. I bought this collection because it would be cheaper than buying the other 2 individually. The Barefoot Billionaires reminded me of Susan Mallery's Fools Gold series- an entire community being created one couple at a time. :)
The heroes are billionaires, and heroines are women from the community. All 3 are very sweet summer reads and easy to read in one afternoon.

This set is a great tie in with Roxanne St Claire's Barefoot Bay Series! These are great stories you won't be able to put down.
There are three hunky billionaires and the women they fall in love with. When you throw in the sun and ocean, Barefoot Bay seems to be a little magical! You won't be sorry. Great read!

Three novellas in one set. Each book is a stand alone but flow nicely together with reoccurring characters. The Billoinaires arrive to Barefoot Bay, not excepting to find their HEA. This is a spin off from the Barefoot Bay books. Looking forward to reading the next Barefoot books. Highly recommend!

Each of the novellas in this set is a 5 star read! All connected, the characters flow together with ease while we get glimpses of our favorite Barefoot characters. In typical Roxanne St. Claire fashion the stories grab your heart and never let go! A highly recommended set.
