She grew up in Northern Michigan, the setting for many of her stories, and married her college sweetheart. Their romantic romps have included a scolding at Parliament House in Belfast for canoodling, and two trips Down Under while her handsome hubby made a movie penguin named Mumble dance. While in Sydney, she earned her MA in Creative Writing. She decided to combine that with her undergraduate degree in business and her years of experience in accounting and finance to become a writer-turned-independent-publisher. She loves to teach writing workshops online and in person.
When not writing in her home office, Kitty is always looking for reasons to take work – or maybe a novel – to the beach. She and her husband regularly run half marathons to offset the hours spent on their TV addiction.

LITTLE MISS LOVESICK was marketed as a Christian book. I think it was mismarketed. Either that or it was written for extremely liberal Christians. The characters swore - a lot. I'm not talking mild swearing either, though there is plenty of that. There is also drinking--and getting tipsy--and plenty of ogling (wet white t-shirt with a black bra). I'm including that as a warning for conservative Christians (like me). They went to church twice, nothing was mentioned Christian-wise, and there is no faith message.
The story, as secular (not Christian) was very well written and engaging. Might even be considered clean for the secular world as they didn't get any farther than um, first base. I loved the humor. I felt for Sydney - and even cared about her. I liked Matt--and Sydney's co-workers--and all the characters, really. It was a cute story.
If you like clean secular romances, give LITTLE MISS LOVESICK a try. If swearing and drinking and thinking too much about sex bothers you in a Christian novel, then don't pick this one up.

Little Miss Lovesick is a charmer of a romance book, and one I'd let my granddaughter read. The story is something we've all lived through…a lost love and the hit your self-esteem takes in that situation. The story is a tad unusual in that the reader is not only exposed to, the main character, Sydney's thoughts, but also to the voices she has in her head. Those voices are the ones we've all heard as we've lived our lives. This part of the story makes for some humorous inner dialogue. My favorite voices were Sergeant Pride and Little Miss Lovesick. I have to say this story will warm your heart and give you some true 'laugh out loud' moments. I highly recommend Little Miss Lovesick!

I found this book about a quarter too long and too contrived. The ending was rather abrupt and it was obvious Ms. Bucholtz couldn't figure out how to get to the HEA she wanted. The heroine gave the hero a heart-felt letter which he found irresistible, but the reader never knows what it says. Definitely deus ex machine in written form. Unfortunately, even before this lazy ending I found the troubles over the top and the message a bit too saccharine. I wanted to like this book, but for me it fell short.

I just finished reading Little Miss Lovesick and I have to say, it was a well-written, hilarious, sweet and fun story and I thoroughly enjoyed reading every page of it.
I often found myself laughing as I agreed with the thoughts of the leading lady and feeling a little swooney over Matt, the main male character. While I've read some novels labeled as Romantic Comedies that seemed to fail to live up to the comedic aspect, Little Miss certainly did not and I loved the humor.
Lastly, I enjoyed being in Sydney's head throughout the story - her emotions, humor and character were all very natural and realistic, which made the book that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this fun, clean romantic comedy!

Little Miss Lovesick was a wonderful book that had me laughing out loud many times! I could relate with the main character and the “voices” in her head. I would recommend this book to anyone that wants to laugh and enjoys a happy ending. Disclaimer: I received a copy of this book in a GoodReads giveaway. Little Miss Lovesick by Kitty Bucholtz is set in Northern Michigan. It is an unusual but funny romantic story . It is well written. Kitty Bucholtz writes a story that keeps your attention. A fun read with strong characters that feel real when you read the story.. If you are looking for a comedy , this may be for you.

Where do I begin?! I really enjoyed this book! There were moments when I literally laughed out loud and my cheeks hurt from smiling. I will definitely be recommending this book to my fellow book lovers!
I loved all of the detailed descriptions. Kitty Bucholtz definitely knows how to explain things to where my imagination was able to paint the pictures perfectly in my mind! There was a part of the story where it was raining outside and Sydney was wet and cold. I found myself so wrapped up in the story that I realized that I was feeling chilly and was actually a bit surprised when I looked out the window and the sun was shining with no rain in sight!
The characters seemed real and they were fun to read about. When reading a book, I always try to picture the characters in my head and these were easy to picture. I found myself wishing that they were real people that I could meet! Maybe not GT quite as much as the others though!!! There were times when I did find myself getting frustrated, but in a good way. Anxious to see how it was going to end but not wanting it to end too soon either!
All in all, I really liked this book and can't wait to read another Kitty Bucholtz book! I actually got this one on my kindle but now that I know that I like the style of this author I'll be wanting to have these books on my ever growing bookshelf!

Little Miss Lovesick is surprisingly deeper than the title suggests. Kitty Bucholtz captures the spirit of a woman going through heartache, healing and disappointment, illogical highs of infatuation, and the journey of life choices with a fun, movie-like quality.
Sydney Riley is a realistic, sweet heartbroken heroin readers can expect to connect to straight away. Approachable, unassuming, well-rounded, and funny, Sydney is a refreshing portrait of a down to earth emotional human being, made colourful by her vibrant personality and bursts of poignant self-honesty we can relate to.
True to the genre, the author doesn't hold back on fun gushy moments or skimp on descriptions of juicy eye candy to the guilty and squeamish delight of the female readers.

This sweet romance was filled with heartwarming and honest true-to-life moments. Not only did the story include misunderstandings between potential lovers, but also best friends, in a realistic way. Just making a plan and following the steps doesn’t guarantee success, as the heroine Sydney learns. I appreciated the depth of characterization that allowed for human flaws, and made the characters seem like people I’ve known. Wonderful, fresh voice in clean contemporary romance.

Lovely character development
Had me hooked from the first line. I don't usually like "I" books but the inside of Sydney's head had me laughing aloud. Really got to know her quietly seeking heart and her resilient spirit. Great read.

A sweet romance and I really felt for Sydney. Heartbroken and left a little insecure from her ex leaving her for another woman, the story is told from her point of view, in the first person.
