The Dirt Track Dogs have never been better. Their pack is growing, but one wolf remains without a mate. Diz has waited patiently while the rest of his packmates found love, now he’s ready to start a family of his own. He’s never kept quiet about his desire to find his intended mate, but three years later, his true mate remains a mystery. If it wasn’t for his friendship with Destiny keeping his mind off of his elusive female, he might’ve gone insane. But when he faces his growing attraction to her, he realizes maybe there’s more to be had from their relationship than friendly banter. Destiny has made her home with the dogs who saved her. They welcomed her and her sister—the last two survivors of a bobcat shifter clan—with open arms and more love than she could’ve hoped for. One wolf in particular holds a special place in her heart. Diz, who pulled her from the ravine where she’d lain, tattered. Who’d become her best friend. The one she could tell all her secrets to, and the one who shared his with her. The one she wanted to spend forever with. Except Diz is waiting for his true mate. And Destiny isn’t her. When Diz’s wolf interferes with fate, their relationship is put to the test, and he finds himself racing to convince Destiny that she’s the only female for him. Don't miss this exciting conclusion to P. Jameson's Dirt Track Dogs!

This was a sweet story, FULL of angst and longing. Unfortunately, heavy angst is not my thing, especially with shifter books. The story wraps up the series and it was great seeing the other couples. Grace is adorable and Beast's little boy has his daddy wrapped around his finger (literally)! So cute!
I appreciated that the author found a way to deal with the "fated Mate" issue in this book, because I am still upset she did not do that in the last one.
Overall, I have enjoyed this series and appreciate that I could read every book in the series without having to worry about "safety" issues. I hope she continues to do this!
A PERFECT ENDING FOR A PERFECT BEGINNING !!! Title: Racing Destiny Series: Dirt Track Dogs Designation: Book Five, Stand Alone Novella, No Cliffhanger Author: P. Jameson Reading Platform: Kindle Unlimited My Rating: FIVE HEARTWARMING STARS ***** Racing Destiny is the fifth and final release in the sinfully sexy Dirt Track Dogs Series by P. Jameson and may I just say - WOW! Absolute perfection! Although this is a series, each book is a standalone novella featuring a different couple and each have their very own happily ever after ending. However, having said that, I would highly recommend reading all five books in the order in which they were published. You'll never regret it! I started reading Jameson's work last year and she has quickly become one of my favorite authors. I now anxiously await each new release. Sadly, Racing Destiny is her final offering in the Dirt Track Dogs Series and we must say goodbye to the Dogs and their mates. Hopefully, somewhere down the road, we'll hear from the Dogs again. It wouldn't be the first time some of our favorite characters showed up in her other series. On the bright side, I can hardly wait to see what Jameson has planned for us next. But just what makes her writing so special you ask? Well, my answer is quite simple - her stories make my heart sing and my spirit soar! What more could you ask from a great book? Not a darn thing! And this book is no exception! Jameson has dazzled us yet again with an incredibly perceptive and emotionally moving read. Reading a shifter series about dirt track racing is a first for me. Being from the deep south where we love our racing, I was immediately intrigued, and actually, I live only two miles from our local speedway so you know I'm already a fan! And Jameson does not disappoint! The four books in the series are sensational but this book is spectacular. This is hands down the most emotionally charged story to date. It pulled at my heartstrings and captured my heart! I laughed at the antics and innocence of the characters and sobbed uncontrollably throughout the book but by the end, I was left with tears of joy on my face and love in my heart. If you've ever read any of my reviews, then you probably have already guessed that reading is a very emotional experience for me and I express my feelings through my heartfelt reviews. If an author can bring me to tears, cause me to sob, break my heart, miraculously make me laugh, and then heal my heart and soul with words, obviously that author has done their job exceptionally well and Jameson has delivered just that - again! Let me preface this review by saying, none of the books in the series are packed with actual racing. Each story actually revolves more around the characters and features their lives, loves, conflicts and heartbreaks. This story is exciting, thrilling, fast paced, original, unique, imaginative, compelling, heartbreaking, heartwarming, humorous, sweet, romantic, arousing and sensual. Oh, did I mention hot? Well, it's definitely HOT!. The dialogue is smart, exceptionally well written in the third person and flows effortlessly. But my favorite element of Jameson's stories is the characters. They are fascinating, captivating, unique, engaging, endearing, sexy as sin and at times, laugh out loud funny. Jameson expertly combines these elements into an utterly irresistible paranormal read with just the perfect amount of heart-wrenching angst, heated attraction, fiery passion and heartwarming romance. Sigh.....So dreamy! So, are you ready for another wild race??!! Well then, buckle up my lovelies! Get ready, get set, let's goooo!!!
It's been three years since the fourth member of the Dirt Track Dogs found his true mate, now leaving only poor Diz without his fated love. It had also been three years since that fateful night when Diz rescued Destiny from the ravine, bruised, battered, broken and nearly dead. He saved her life and she had become his best friend. The one person that knew him better than his pack brothers who had known him for twenty years. He's told her how badly he longs for his true mate and a large loving family. They share everything with each other. Well, almost everything. He hasn't shared with her how badly he wants to hold her, kiss her and ravish her beautiful body. He can't tell her that. She doesn't feel that way about him, does she? You're not supposed to have those kind of feelings for your best friend, are you? That would ruin everything! Or would it? Shouldn't he only have these feelings for his true mate? His wolf refuses to acknowledge Destiny as their mate but Diz is getting pretty darn tired of listening to his stubborn, finicky wolf? He's had just about enough! Beautiful werecat Destiny has known since she first awoke from her coma that Diz is the wolf for her. Oh yes, she loves him and is willing to play the dutiful friend and listen to his dreams of finding his true mate and starting a family. She so wishes it could be her but he isn't even attracted to her. Or is he? She and her cat both want him. It's breaking her heart and slowly killing her inside. It's becoming harder each day to conceal her true feelings and arousal from him. It would be better for them both if she left and started over somewhere else but her vision told her that her place was here with the Dogs. So, what do a werewolf and a werecat do when they're deeply in love with each other but refuse to acknowledge their true feelings to each other? Hmmm....I wonder??? Will Diz and Destiny choose love or fate? Or maybe both??? No spoilers from me but I will say this...... Beautiful, intelligent bobcat shifter who is very skittish and has visions-check! Handsome indecisive wolf shifter with a very finicky wolf-check! A large cast of wonderful characters-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, heartbreaking angst, sweet romance and undeniable love-check! That and a whole lot more! Deliciously cute, completely captivating, seriously sexy and delightfully entertaining. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Again, refreshing how the author is taking a different approach with shifters finding their mates. But, I have to admit that I was very worried with this new inclusion of the concept of shifter elders. It seemed, at first glance, that it might complicate the story needlessly.
Although it was handled relatively well in this story, I still had a few issues with it. I found that the explanation and such was too short and roughly handled because of it. I have read ahead in both this series and the spin offs of it and I have to say that the addition of the concept of Elders is walking a fine line of a good idea and a cop out way of introducing different storylines.
Quick Info Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone Part of a Series?: Yes ---------------------------------- Meeting the Characters Diz Destiny ---------------------------------- What happens? Diz is searching for his mate and so far can't find her. Destiny the cat shifter they helped last book has been looking for him, all the while pining for him herself. When it becomes clear why Destiny can't find his mate Diz wants to take her as his mate. Something Destiny wants but doesn't want to be the 2nd choice. Final thoughts Great ending to a good series. I'm curious about the spin off and I'm excited to read that. Would I read again?: Yes Would I read this author again?: Yes
Friends to lovers. Final in series. Destiny realises she needs to leave the Dirt Track dogs pack. While she has totally fallen for Diz, he is waiting for his intended mate. When Did finally realises his intended is Destiny all along, he will do everything to bring her home. Disappointing end to the series as I was really looking forward to Diz's story after meeting him in previous books. The fact he couldn't see who Destiny was to him didn't make sense. The way the Elder was introduced to the pack also took away from the main plot. Fav Quote: “All things happen in their own time. Destiny is fluid, but also stubborn. If you push it, it will push back.”
Yes, I enjoyed this story. Diz and Destiny’s journey to forever took the long route but it was right on time. Our destiny never comes at our pace but is always revealed right on time. I loved all of the couples stories in the series but this one touched my heart. I laughed and teared up when Diz was begging Destiny not to leave him. This one gave me so many feeling. I glad that I found this author. I joined her newsletter so I won’t miss anything. Until next time y’all happy reading.
Wow there are scene's in this story that will live in my imagination for a while to come. I hated what Diz and Destiny went through, and again the author has hooked huge grappling hooks into my heart and was tearing chunks out of it in places, but she filled it with a mass of sweetness at the end and that makes all the pain worth while.
This was my least favorite mate story. I love the characters just not how their story played out. A lot of questions are answered in this book but at the same time a lot is thrown into this quick read.
Enjoyable paranormal romance. We met these characters in the previous book and this is their journey. Loved little grace and eiyid gladly have liked more dialogue from her, that said good read.
Diz and Destiny were best friends, but both wanting more. They were waiting for their intended mate. Things are not always as they seem. Enjoyed the book and loved the series.
Part 5, the finale of this series !! Diz is the last of the DTD to mate, and has waited three years since the others have mated, and had kids. The pack is growing and he is tired of denying his need for Destiny, his best friend. He's fed up with waiting for "the one". He wants happiness now, and Destiny gives him that feeling, that "can't be without you" emotion. Destiny has felt the same way since they met three years ago when he rescued her. In that time they have been best friends, watching the pack grow, and her sister Grace enjoy being Tana and Surge's adopted daughter, blooming as a sweet girl should. Des now wants her happiness, too. She and Diz have hot sex, and he hesitates before completing the mating. His wolf won't let him bite her. She's devastated, hurt, and needs to get away. This romance is heartwarming, and the pack is accepting, understanding and caring. She and Diz deserve love as much as anyone. Wonderful tale, beautiful finale, and worthwhile reading. Highly recommend ! ENJOY !!!
Your killin me P. Jameson! I loved it so much but I cried too! Its the last of this beloved series but my heart also hurt throughout Diz and Destiny's story. It was really unique and you made it GOOD! I was very pleased with it. The epilogue was the best! I can't believe its been 3 years times gone by since Surge's and Tana's story. I loved how everything was centered on Diz and Destiny for most of the story. The others were in it but small parts.
Hopefully we get to get more stories on those pesky cats! Read the one but want more! Magic's story maybe?
This book was bittersweet for me. It was amazing as all her stories are but I'm sad to be saying goodbye to the dirt track dogs. This has been an amazing series and I can't wait to see what p. Jameson comes up with next. Hopefully we get a spinoff and. Get some updates from the dtd . I would definitely recommend this book. Looking forward to seeing what she comes out with next. Great job. Wonderful ending to a great series.
this one was so cute! The first half of this book I was just screaming because I wanted them to man up (woman up) and get with each other. I thought it was so sweet that she was trying to help him find his mate, but I was so made that she wouldn't listen to him when he said it didn't matter! I felt so bad for her when he left after they finally got together. She was so sad! If I was in her place, I would have felt the same way. But overall, I loved this.

I thought bk four was grand. The more she writes of this crew the more personal they become. This one bought tears to my eyes. I hope there is more from the DTD. you've captured my attention. so far they have all achieved their HEA. some paths were rougher than others
3 1/2 Stars - Diz and Destiny's story was my least favorite of the series. It dragged on and it was stagnant for 3/4's of the book. The only reason it has earned 3 1/2 stars is because the last quarter of the book and the epilogue made up for the painful 3/4's of the story. Those were the best parts.
Destiny has always been in love with diz. Sadly she was sure she wasn't his mated. She could see in the future but couldn't ever see Diz intended mate. Diz has always loved Destiny but his wolf kept saying she wasn't his mate. When they finally tell each other their feelings it blows up in each others face and fear. Need to read entire series. Loved it. You will not be disappointed.
Well there you go the end to a great series. What a great ending it was. I was a little slow on the uptake on how it would end. You might figure it out before I did. But still a great twist.
I have read all the previous books and enjoyed each one. Diz and Dessy's story was a perfect ending this series. I have my fingers crossed that there's more to come the Ozarka pack and from Owyn.
This series is finished up with Diz and Destiny's story. Some of the best relationships start as friendships and the signs were all there that they were meant to be more than friends. Diz had to fight his wolf to be with her and it was worth it in the end.
Diz and Dessie have been best friends since he found her in a ravine almost dead. 3 yrs later and still no mates there both confused. Jessie is the pack elder and it's different for them.
