Explains the foundations of parenting and how they build on eachother, consisting of 1. way of being, 2. relationship with spouse, 3.relationship with child, 4. teaching, and 5. correction
I couldn't open the link in other reviews but Googled my way to a free download in a few minutes. As another review or two referenced God/religious perspective and the group's broad, blanket pen name of "The Arbinger Institute" seemed a bit vague, I was uncertain that I'd get much out of the 8pgs. But Arbinger dot com revealed the reasons for the aversion to identifying individual contributors well enough to placate my concerns for the short read. And happily for me, there was no religious overtone on my overview of their website in addition to this read. The ideas shared certainly can layer nicely with moral and spiritual principles, whether one is religious or not. I didn't find any major revelations but concur that good parenting begins proactively in and is sustained by good relationships with self, spouse and family.
Great proactive way at looking at parenting. At the base of our pyramid is our relationship with God. It teaches how if this foundation isn't strong it will effect the way you parent. Loved it!
Wow. Throw all other parenting books out the window. This is the only one you will ever have to read if you will do it. Like the other review said, it's only 8 pages and you can download it free. MUST READ! EVERY DAY IF POSSIBLE.
Not a lot of discussion or examples in the 8 pages, but an excellent foundation and framework for parenting. Great insight into why it is so important for us as parents to do our daily devotions, go on dates with our spouse, and so many other things that are not "parenting" activities.
One of the best articles I've ever read on strengthening the family. Sometimes I think couples forget how important their relationship to each other is for their children.
